import of vector editable in Animate

My question is so basic, I hesitate to post it, but I tried to find an answer anywhere without result so...

Essentially, I'm just trying to move my editable in Illustrator object to animate, and I get an object that has a framework encompassing and is not editable. It seems that it's sometimes, but usually not, and I fear that, despite my new iMac that Illustrator is pretty glitchy so I can't know for sure if I'm doing something wrong or my machine is glitchy.

I drew a very simple object in Illustrator. Tried to import this object in the library and pulling then from there staging. Also tried just copy and paste into Animate and library scene. In any case, I get the bounding box. I tried pulling the assets that I downloaded from the Adobe tutorial animate, and that it remains editable. So I have to save my incorrectly? But I think I've tried all the variations on record, export, import, etc., and I get a bounding box, except for the few times where I got an editable object, and I can't say why it was different!

Here are a few screenshots:

Vector Illustrator object:editable illustrator object.png

Animate with this same object imported:animate bounding.png

Animate with object tutorial Adobe:animate adobe asset.png

Select the object, then change Break/Apart. It should then look more familiar.

    Hi,

This workflow is not yet possible to the draw. But it has been a very popular feature request lately and I know that the team is studying how it could be integrated into the app.

I will definitely pass your comments along to the team.

  • Best way to import goods from Illustrator to animate and lot to day?

My brother and I are working on an animation. I create drawings in Illustrator, and he creates animation to animate in CC. He needs to start the animation already, so I'm over him unfinished images, I intend to update several times throughout the project (Polish, redefine the colors,...). We are talking about hundreds of image assets. What would be the best way to implement, so we don't have to export and import each image manually?

So far, everything I can think of creates all assets as the png. In this way he could-automatic update images easily (provide the size/Center does not change). But we would like to explore the possibility of retaining as well as vectors. Is there an easy way to import/export for this?

If we decided to go with png, after all, and we have created big enough assets for all purposes, is there a downside? Would there be a loss of quality when the rotation and scale, rather than use vectors?

    Thank you!

is the only easy answer, use pixels for everything that will be displayed on an electronic screen.

because graphics vector scaling with perfect fidelity, the only thing on the size that counts is the aspect ratio.  in flash/animate, you have several options on how you step can be resized.  Since the help files:

  • Import Photoshop files (PSD) for Animate (Flash) via JSFL scripts

    Hello

I want to automate the workflow we have including import psd files in Animate (Flash)-> make a few changes on the content > export swf.  The last part (-> to make some changes on the content > export swf) is already automated, the only thing left is to import psd files. The problem is that every time you import a psd file, you are invited to a window where you must enter the preferences how you want to import a psd. Exactly, this window is the problem, we must always change preferences and confirm the changes by hand. Is it somehow possible to set preferences for psd import by jsfl script and avoid the window preferably?

    Thank you.

Yes, assign the boolean false dialogue show in the importFile method.

  • Photoshop will not automatically import my file edited in Lightroom

Can someone help me please? Photoshop is not automatically import my photos into lightroom. When I right click in LR then click to edit in PS, then make some changes in PS and save my changes in Psalm... PS does not save my tiff in LR. Nothing are usually that it's right next to the original file. He was not even at the extreme end either. However, it records in the original folder, where all the RAW files are, so now I have to import them manually into now. Is anyway to fix this?

    DIFFICULTY * 04/05/16

    (1) install Photoshop and Lightroom

    (2) cut & paste the Photoshop installation folder to any other location.

    (3) once he did move the files to a different location, open LR and go to Edition - Preferences - surface-mounted under the surface-mounted go to additional External Editor and click on the button choose. Find the Photoshop .exe (the location where you moved it) and click on choose.

    (4) an image in LR go change In French - right click and choose the second Photoshop.exe not the top one. Once you have click on it a box will appear asking you if you want to change with Lightroom adjustments - click Edit and you will see your photo being opened and also a tiff file will be created right next to the original as it should.

  • Import of vector graphics, labeling dilema

I use Framemaker 10, Autodesk Publisher of Illustrator, Inkscape, Windows Vista.

I imported a series of illustrations Illustrator Autodesk CAD into Illustrator Editor.  Here, I marked them.

I then saved/published them as .svg files.

If I import them directly into Framemaker, they open with the legends at a strange angle and 3/4 of the picture missing. Therefore, I must open in Inkscape, make the entire image to the framework and align the legends.

Now I import into Framemaker.  The problem is the numbering is difficult to predict.  The labelling/legends/numbering always turn what seems to be "BOLD".  But the real problem resizes the illustrations.  Because there is no way to predict the size of the output of the editor, the illustrations must be resized in Framemaker.  Would not usually be no problem that the illustrations are of svg (vector graphics), but of course it is resized the labelling/legends/numbering, which makes it look really stupid when I have 10 illustrations all with different font size.

What people do here?  Someone uses vector graphics in their manuals.

I would really appreciate a response on what I feel, I hit a wall of brick here.

    Thank you

    > I use Framemaker 10, Autodesk, Editor, Illustrator, Inkscape, windowsvista.

    Adobe Illustrator is available?

    > I imported a series of illustrations Illustrator Autodesk CAD into Illustrator Editor.  Here I scored the.

Why not label in Frame? We do, and it has benefits beyond avoiding the rendering of text and scale of issues such as the ability to reuse the same illustration for multiple purposes with different legends. We use captions embedded in our service manuals (the XML engine required) and depopulate the legends (usually just turn off a layer) for the re-use of this art in the manuals of the frame.

    > I have then saved/published in the form of files .svg.

Let me tell you that I have no experience with SVG, due to the lack of SVG support throughout our workflow, but we use vector EPS widely.

    > If I import them directly into to Framemaker, they open with the legends at a strange angle and 3/4 of the picture missing. That's why I have to open in Inkscape, make the entire image to the framework and align captions.

If SVG includes integrated preview/thumbnail pictures, is there a chance that it's just a problem of preview? What happens to print or return to PDF?

    > Now I import into Framemaker.  The problem is the numbering is difficult to predict.  The labelling/legends/numbering always turn what seems to be "BOLD".  But the real problem resizes illustrations.

It is one of the disadvantages of legends incorporated. If the image is not the size, the text dimensionnera arbitrarily, which is ugly, or it won't scale, which is a disaster. More bad news - your weight of race are wide too.

    > Because there is no way to predict the size of the output of...

I would be undesirable any image editor, vector or raster, which did not provide for this basic level of output control.

    > Someone else uses vector graphics in their manuals?

Yes, from Pro, AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, Frame and extractions of provider of PDFs of unknown origin. Clean us them in Adobe Illustrator, using extensions specific dimensions and a weight of race that is acceptable for a limited series of up and down the hammer blows. Captions are added to the frame, using an arrow to auto-hide and a bubble of auto hide with a block of text and a paragraph format specific to the use of the legend.

  • Import photos previously edited in LR to LR on 2nd computer

I thought that if I edited the photos using Lightroom 2.5 on my laptop while traveling, that when I got home and imported these photos (on external hard drive) to my office catalog, Lightroom 2.6, the changes that I had previously done would show cigarette... but they did not.  Shouldn't the LR editing changes in the XMP sidecar and travel with the import into LR on another computer?  How can I work in Lightroom on two computers and without having to duplicate my workflow?

If you have set LR to save meta-data to the file, after you import the files to a new catalog (as you already have) select read the metadata of the file to read in the new catalogue. You can also be just to use a catalog located on the hard drive itself. Or two catalogues, one desktop and one on the laptop, as well with the images on the external hard drive, to separate and then use synchronize folders to update catalogs after working on another. I use the method later. There are other methods such as creating a new catalog on the laptop and then import this as a catalog in the main catalog to your desktop. As always with LR several ways to achieve this, select the one that suits you the best. The important is to make sure that you don't forget to set LR or automatically write file data or that you do manually after each adjustment. Propitiatory file to DNG conversion is also very useful here in what the metadata and then figure in the file itself, rather than as xmp file separate. It also has the other benift usually create smaller files compression lossless DNG work better than more propitiatory RAW files.

  • Import text objects, editing in artificial intelligence, by copying the interactions, etc.

First of all, I would like to congratulate the Flash Catalyst team and the work that they have done so far. He is off to a very good start, and I can't wait for the finished product. A little history: I am currently working on the design of user interface for a software tool. I am running CF on Snow Leopard (MacBook Pro with 3 GHz/4 GB RAM). I was looking for something to take my design of the Illustrator, bring it to life in a working prototype, circulate comments and eventually pass on to developers to use as a reference (they write C++ in Visual Studio). I have just a few questions/requests/bugs to appear:

    (1) when I import text from Illustrator objects, Flash Catalyst is unable to maintain the base changes. Am I missing something? I read that unique features for CF gave priority, and this other standard options formatting in Illustrator or Photoshop would follow in future versions. Is - that one of these options (as well as stroke, masks of clipping, etc.) that will eventually be supported? Or do I have to submit it as a feature request?

    (2) in addition, it seems that the grid of the CF is not as many pixels as the grid to HAVE it. When I import small objects that correspond to the guides, they become blurred - it's like fitting 10 people on 9 chairs. The gaps and overlaps appear. This will be reconciled in later versions? Or do I have to submit a feature request for this?

    (3) when I select a group of objects and click Edit > edit in Adobe Illustrator CS4, a dialog box appears with the title "Edit in Adobe Illustrator. Here's an exclamation point in a bubble and text "Selection of editing in Adobe Illustrator... ». The problem is, the box never goes away, and nothing happens in Illustrator. Am I missing something? Is this a bug? This feature works for other people?

    (4) I read about this elsewhere, but I have not found a concise answer. CF does support the copy of component interactions? By example, if I copy and paste a custom component, or if I export a component library and then import it, it loses all of its defined interactions. Is there a work around? Or plans to implement?

    Hi Sponce,

Thanks for the kind words. I'm going to dive into your questions:

    (1) catalyst should maintain base shifts to import. Our goal is a complete fidelity with the original work. If you publish a file HAVE that has this issue, I can file a bug (unless it's been fixed since Beta 2, which is quite possible - we made many improvements to import fidelity).

Also, I wanted to clarify the thing you discover more complex "formatting options". WHEN you import the PS, or FXG, the work should appear exactly as it did in the original tool (modulo very small differences). However, catalyst can not supported the MODIFICATION of more sophisticated objects or properties (masks, complex gradients, paths, HAVE mesh warp, etc.).  This is where 'Edit in Illustrator': you can pop at work in to, make changes there and then back to FC.

    (2) this can happen in some cases:

    (A) the reader Flash has a rendering engine of different text that HAVE, this text may look different. If it is critical for you, you can choose to convert the text to outlines when importing text.

    (B) alignment of the pixels: I supports the investment object subpixel very accurate because it can produce for print (where pixel doesn't really count). However, these objects blurry when displayed on a computer screen (where import pixels). You can see this simply by drawing a rectangle in artificial intelligence at 100% zoom. Objects in CF should be aligned with the boundaries of the pixels because it generates exclusively to a computer monitor. When you import and manipulate the work CF it automatically snaps to pixel boundaries. That's good because your fuzzy rectangle will become blurred, but it is not very good because small tedious objects seem not quite right.

    (3) your work should appear in Illustrator, ready to be edited. In Beta 2, it is only supported with Illustrator CS4. What version do you have?

    (4) it is not supported, and we do not have a proposal or plans to support. You must submit your proposal on the ideas site: http://ideas.adobe.com/labs

    (5) is not supported, but it is a good idea, so you should put it on the site of ideas. You can encode up to this behavior in Flash Builder, but you'll have to dive into coding.

  • Import of vector animation in Director

    Hello

I created a vector animation in Flash 8, which includes 3 vector graphics animating on the screen. I saved it as a SWF file and when I run it, it appears fine. But I imported into Director MX and only the vector graphics appears in the animation, the other two graphs are not apearing that I find quite strange. Main tried implementing an EXE file, but the problem persists. Anyone know how to fix this?

I don't know if I should have posted this in the forum Flash or Director.

    Thanks for your help.

Director is not yet able to play Flash 8. Publish your animation Flash to Flah 7 or earlier and that she should play fine. Now that I say that, I'm using Director MX 2004. To Director MX, you back up farther in the evolution of Flash.

  • Importing vectors...

I guess there is a simple solution to this...

Recently I did an animation of 3 minutes with voice over.

I added a few of the the I created in Illustrator by copy and paste the vector graphics.  This placed CC animate fine.  I then imported the audio.  After that whenever I brought in a vector graphic... the size of the chart on the scenario would be the length of the audio file long of 3 minutes.

The only way that I could understand to shorten the length on the graph of the file was manually drag the start point and the end point to where I wanted it begins and ends.  Realize now it was great graphics to fill a 3 minute video.

There must be a way to import a vector file from Illustrator, where the length is not so long on the timeline... or there must be a feature where I can adjust the length of time, it appears at the same time.  Do manually was a pain in the rear (to put it kindly), I had to do this for every chart that added.

    Asymmetric swingarm wrote:

SO, if you want to limit how it appears on the timeline, press F5 on the frame that you want to STOP everything first and THEN slide on the stage and it will show only the length that you are wanting to.

Or drag then press F5 when you want to stop. The order of operations is not serious.
