  It is the available plugin to import images from iphoto to Lightroom, but not for pictures.

  You can export images from Photos and then import them into Lightroom or

  Just copy the main photos folder and save it anywhere on the system and import the image in Lightroom from there.

  I have creative cloud for photographers, it s installed on my iMac and my MacBook Air. I use Lightroom to import photos from the camera. A few days ago I wanted to import photos on the MacBook, but after a while everything stopped, no photos have been imported, and after waiting a while, I gave up. It worried me a lot because I was afraid the memory card may have been damaged, but I tried to import photos to the iMac instead, and it was no problem. In the creative app cloud, it is possible to uninstall Photoshop, no problem, but with Lightroom, it says "cannot be uninstalled" - on the iMac and MacBook.

  Since I travel a lot in a few days, it s essential to own a Lightroom running on my MacBook. I usually import photos from the device several times a day, so without a LR that works, it will be much more difficult...

  Suggest make you in Lightroom preferences > file handling > increase the size of the cache of crude camera at the top end (70-80GB) and then check.

  Lately when I imported the photos from my library, all turned black but not disappeared, they are always there.  So in order for me to see, I have to convert them to DNG format, all the time.  Is it possible that I don't have to convert them to DNG to see them in my library before you continue editing?

  2. Restart Lightroom and then import images again.

  Photos on Mac is great. I got all my pictures, like, improve them and remove anything I think is not worth keeping. All my photos are managed in all kinds of albums. Which makes it easy to find what I'm looking for. I created all kinds of smart albums to find the shots, no gps, no title, and so on to ensure that can find the images a day.

  One thing I would look for are images that somehow slipped through my crazy sort. Basically, I would like to find all photos that are not part of an album.

  I tried to do by creating a smart album, but cannot do so.

  Does anyone of you have an idea?

  I have download in various albums dependent, then the search box to find a .mov.

  However, I do not get the results that I expect - I get files .mov, but not all, and I can't work the criteria for those is presented.

  In the previous update of lightroom, adobe added support for the library of Photos of Apple.  After a lot of complaints from the community on the new design of page import, adobe has returned to the old conception of import page. In doing so, it seems that adobe has also decreased support for the import of Photos Apple library.  Is this true?

  I just checked and discovered that Lightroom (2015 cc.3) remembers the link to my library of Photos apple when I imported using 2015 cc.2.  So I tried to use this link and Voila! It imports directly from the photo library.  However, if I try to access the photo library using the standard import dialog box, it does not.  It seems that adobe still has work to do.

  First of all, you don't want to use BOTH at the same time, it is because the programs don't speak to another, and so whatever you do in one program is unknown to the other program. Basically, it would be twice as much work, but not twice the advantage and also opens the possibility of creating confusion.

  You want to choose a program and use it as your software "organize" and also as your software to 'change '. Which one you choose is up to you.

  To transfer photos to Photos in Lightroom, you need to export your images of Photos to a location on the hard drive and then then import them into Lightoom.

  If you upload to 'Photos' on your Mac, they will not appear in Lightroom.  Photos from Apple and Adobe Lightroom do not play well together.  You must export the images of 'Photos' in a folder on your Mac before you can import into Lightroom.

  I always had problems trying to import my photos into Lightroom. I have read many articles on it and watched many tutorials, and none of them does not seem to work for me. I'm working on a Mac OS (El Capitan) and I use the Photos App on my computer. I take photos for a living, and I want some "records" of the Photos App to import into Lightroom so I can change, so I want to save them back in the 'File' or 'Album' from the Photos App. I'm frustrated that there is no means to achieve and that Lightroom is so different from Photoshop and other items.

  Well, you cannot migrate your images directly from App Photos in Lightroom as opening.

  You export your App Photos images and save it somewhere on the machine, then Lightroom would be able to see your images and can add/import your images into the software so that you can edit them later.
