  I also use another window to control the log file.

  I don't know what I've done (can hit the back button) now the screen looks like the following:

  No more are written to the log file. Is the correct import?

  This means that the output of the command goes in the output file. You should be good, just keep control the output file to confirm.

• Error importing the second database data dictionary

  SDDM 4.0.0.833 on Windows 7 SP1.

  I try to import in the same relational model, a production and a development Oracle database in two different physical models.  I select only users, roles and Tablespaces, no other database items.  When I click on finish, I get an error with a big red x box and nothing else.  These are the only entered in the journal (datamodeler.log) for today.  What I am doing wrong?

  Well, it was weird.  I closed SDDM and re-opened and always less error.  Was supposed to work in another design, so I closed the test design and got a lot of mistakes in the journal about starting by ' 2014-02-10 09:48:27, 228 [Thread-60] ERROR DesignLevelSettings - cannot save the settings of level Design: "I opened my other design, made some changes, saved and closed SDDM again."  No additional errors in the log.  Now import works fine.

  Any idea what's going on?

  I have a 11G with 127 GB database. I did a full export using expdp as a user of the system. I'll import the created dump file (which is 33 GB) on the basis of data from 12 c target.

  When I do the full import on the 12 c database data dictionary is updated with new data. But as is it already contained data dictionary? It will also change?

  In addition to the responses of the other comrades

  To start, you need to know some basic things:

  The dictionary database tables are owned by SYS and must of these tables is created when the database is created.

  Thus, in the different versions of database Oracle there could be less or more data dictionary tables of different structure database,.

  so if this SYSTEM base tables are exported and imported between different versions of oracle, could damage the features of database

  because the tables do not correspond with the version of database.

  Prosecutor, the utilities for export cannot export the dictionary SYS base tables and is marked

  as a note in the documentation:

  Note:

  Several patterns of system cannot be exported because they are not user patterns; they contain metadata and data managed by Oracle. Examples of system schemas that are not exported MDSYS SYS and ORDSYS.

  That's why import cannot modify/alter/drop/create dictionary database tables. If you can not export, so you can not import.

  Import just to add new Non - SYS objects/data in the database, therefore new data are added to the dictionary base tables (as new users, new tables, code pl/sql etc).

  1. Created a TNS entry for the source on the target server database.
  2. Create a link from public database to the schema of the source by using the tns name.
  3. Created a database in the target database directory and the permissions granted to the user target.

  Run the command below

  I'm looking for the best way to import Aperture any database an Apple project library (with different raws format - Canon 5 d Mark II and MDG-5 Olympus) with corrections applied or not to the work of the copies of the photos?   This has nothing to do with the importation of Aperture. Yes, in Lightroom, if you set the exposure to 0.5, and then you want to cancel it, you just set the exposure back to zero.

  Hi Syed,

  I think you do the opposite on the directory stuff.

  The directory parameter is just to hold the log file. There is no file dumpfile required in IMPDP via dblink operations it's all cross-network.

  Basically, what is lacking is the DIRECTORY on the local server.

  Don't forget not also create the associated tablespace and remap if necessary.

  Now I want to cretae this database by impdp full = y BUT I have an other paths (Windows system).
  Once a week I can finally cretae instance, instance of startup and now I struggle with this oracle 'user friendlY' to create the database.
  But what I need to import the database by impdp? I think that I need software Oracle - installed instance (oradim) and after (startup nomount) and what next cretae database? and adter import DMP file form?
  How can I create thid BD if I want the same, as it is in the dmp file?

  As the paths are different and you did export using utility datapump

  During the import, you want your data files on different paths...

  Thus, you should use Remap_datafile for sure and (if necessary) Remap_tablespace

  Yes. create scoala of database with storage spaces and to import.
  If you have exported (with full = y) before scoala, you can use impdp option SQLFILE to generate the DD(Tablespace,users_and_etc).you can use any available database just to get this information.

  I created a new empty database in access, how to transfer all of my information from the old to the new? The new database contains different fields and queries - will this matter! I have information do not need but that you NEED all contacts.

  You can either import it into your database name directly in the appropriate table OR you can bring to the table and then run ADD or UPDATE to place the data from the old to the new tables, the queries tables...

  You will have is only if the data in your tables are distributed on several tables.  This will require a little bit more work through queries, but it would be still achieved as indicated in the first paragraph.

  the application directory is read-only. App-storage is read/write. If you have an existing database file that was installed in the application directory, you must copy it into the directory app-storage. Also, keep in mind that, if the application is uninstalled, all this information is also deleted. If you want to keep the user database file in the case where they re - install the app, you can copy/create the file in the document directory.

  I'd start probably with "select count (*) from alarm_alarm" as a direction for study.  This isn't a solution tested, a hint.

  This is the extract 'Check number alarm Rows', useful to solve certain types of performance issues.

  Given that the alarms are always being added, if none are added in the cycle of 1 (usually 5-10 min) data collection, there is something wrong.  Could be something simple like all the rules that are disabled, but in a production environment, the most likely cause would be that the FMS is down.

  Stored in the base of most things are unusable from the outside of the FMS, but it could be relatively safe to use.  I can't emphasize enough the extreme danger in allowing anyone to access the FMS database directly from the outside of the FMS.

  For those of you who have not seen this script (which I wrote no-WARNING):
