Import video camera via sd card

I have a Canon HD HF 100 camcorder equipped with a SanDisk Ultra SDHC 8 GB card. When I try to import via SD card on my Acer Aspire 5920 it will not read the card. I don't have my camera to the laptop cable connections. (Left at home I thought that SD card port would be enough). I'm doing something wrong. is there a driver I need to install or something?

Help please?

  • First 11 stops when importing video camera DV

I upgraded the operating system Windows 10 and now, importing the video from the camera stops the program and go out automatically.

Instead, I can open and work on projects of creation 11 old.

Director allowed me to import video from the camera, but it was not compatible with the first 11.

After disinstalling and re - install the first 11-64 bit, now the video from the developer is accepted, but still the camera import is not possible.

    What else could I try?

    Thank you

If you want to edit in Premiere Elements, I would recommend capture with DV Win, no MovieMaker. MovieMaker grabs his video to a different file format.

  • Import videos: camera roll videos vs app

Hello. I just discovered that it is possible to import videos into the film or the video app. I wonder if one of these methods is better than the other? The only advantage of the app videos until now, I've noticed, is that it shows some details about the video (for example, the size, the resolution).

If you want to watch movies or videos, that app videos would be better in my opinion, because things can get jumbled in the film.

  • Can I play FDR-x1000v video camera via iOS PlayMemories app?

I can read them on my wrist LiveView remote, but don't see a way to read a file from camera in the application.

    Maybe I'm missing something basic.

    Any tips?

I found this buried under settings > camera settings > see in Images from the camera

It might be more obvious is the playback mode was a selectable mode on the screen of the live image.

In addition, it would be very useful to hear the sound without having to download the file on the device.

    Thank you

  • What is the best way to transfer HD video camera content SonyHD of PE?

I'm a bit confused... is possible to import video files via the USB connection on my camcorder Sony HDR - CX100 HD in PE9 direct?   I installed the Sony transfer software called PMB and PE9 launch now... a conflict between programs?    Maybe I do not even need the Sony software and need to uninstall?  (Of course should try first... in hindsight).   I remember that I couldn't manage the content Sony HD in PE4, but now I've upgraded to PE9 - then maybe I can use the files directly?    I'm sure someone must have written a thread on the subject of how to get HD in PE9, and need a pre-conversioin, etc. of course would appreciate a pointer to this discussion if it already exists.

    Thanks in advance!

    David

Bill is right. Except for two things:

    (1) you can capture any digital video tape - which includes miniDV and HDV. But, as Bill says, your camcorder is neither.

    (2) I recommend that to get the video from your camcorder, connect your camcorder to your computer and use Premiere Elements' Get Media / Flip, AVCHD or a camcorder to open the importing video, a tool to transfer video from your camcorder to your computer.

And don't forget to make sure your Premiere Elements project is set up to work with the format of your video or you will have all kinds of problems later!

  • Import the camera directly into Lightroom via USB

I looked around this forum but could not find an answer to what I thought was a simple question.

Using the Mavericks 10.9.5 and Lightroom 5.6

I am trying to improve my workflow.

I currently take two steps to get my photos in Lightroom:

    1. connect the camera via USB for Mac and Nikon Transfer allows you to import photos from my camera in a default folder on my Mac, I also put it to remove photos from my camera once completed.

    2. open Lightroom and import photos to the catalog, including moving them to the desired specific final destination folder.

I know I could use a card reader but don't want to go down that road because it's a pain out the mem card and its replacement.

Is it possible to reduce this to a single step using Lightroom.

I tried implementing of Image Capture on my Mac to make Lightroom automatically open when a camera is connected, but the option is grayed out, which seems strange.

If I have lightroom open, and then select the camera as source only get the option copy files not move them to a folder of destination of the machine photo so can't erase the memory of the device.

I can't be the only person who wants to do this someone has a solution.

After playing around a bit I have answered my own question.

I discovered that Nikon Transfer has an option to automatically open another application, so affecting that Lightroom, I realized what I wanted.

  • Windows import video repeatedly stops after a few seconds when you use DV cam to convert and import analog videos

With the help of a Canon Elura 40 mini DV camera to import my old Video 8 tapes to the .avi format. I followed the instructions from http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Import-analog-video-to-your-computer-by-using-a-DV-camera . However, when I click Start import import will work only for a few seconds and then stops. If I keep restarting after that it stops every time (5 to 10 times), I finally get a message under the controls of cam DV that says "commands does not. Then it will keep the import without problem. I discovered this solution accidentally, but not knowing when it will eventually continue to record does get the departure point. If I import directly using a digital camera 8 this is not the case, but the Video 8 does not play well on the Digital 8.

    Thank you.
