Imported Clip mp4 for AE... audio CS5.5 isn't here.

Hi, I have AE CS5.5.  I imported a video music mp4 in Prem CS5.5 Pro, I did.  I did a new comp in AE before importing the file of 4 minutes.  I'm just my feet wet with AE so am puzzled as to why the audio has not been imported as well. Is there a setting I'm missing?  Thank you!

You probably use just the wrong option.

Button "play" in AE is not playing the sound, you must instead use Preview RAM (extreme right button in the Preview Panel).

See more help on the preview video and audio in AE.

  • The imported clips audio ends before video

When I import the video (m4v) first 12 items for Mac (or first 10 items by the way), the audio section of the clip ends abruptly, but the video continues until the end of the clip. I saw the video clip in QuickTime and audio and video are very good. What I have mentioned is also true if I tried it on my MacBook Air. I tried to cut the clip to QuickTime if just the last part of the rest clip and when I import this file into the Prime Minister, this element also has the last missing piece of audio!

When you try to import a .mp4 file in windows movie maker, the program does not list the file when I search for it in his file.  Help, please.

As I suggested previously, conversion to a format like
. WMV before you import it into Movie maker may be the solution.

The free Converter from Microsoft can be a place to start:

(FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)
Restore point before installing software or updates)

Download Microsoft Expression Encoder 4 with Service Pack 1 (SP1) (freeware)
    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&ID=24601
    (runs under WinXP SP3 / Vista / 7)

    When you install the program...
    Start Microsoft Expression Encoder 4
    (Start / programs / Microsoft Expression /)
    Microsoft Expression Encoder 4)

On the "Load a new project" screen...
    Left click... "Transcoding project '...

When the program opens, click on... File / import...

(If at any time you get lost while browsing
the program of... to... Window / active Reset
Type or workspace... CTRL + SHIFT + R)

Look for the file/s that you want to convert.
(If files do not appear... open the fall
    window and choose... All files)

Click (highlight) left the files and the left on the Open button.

You can see the files in the "Multimedia content" pane

In the right column... left click on the tab "Output"...

Open the drop directory window and choose an output folder.
(This is where you will find your converted file)

On the left, click on the button "encode".

Wait... video encoding CPU intensive and can
be a slow process. It is always best if you do not have
    multi-task while files are encoded.

Now... try import you again. File WMV in Movie Maker.

  • Settings of the source is now gray for each new r3d imported clips

At some point, I'm now impossible to import a new clip of r3d (old and new project) with the Source not grayed out settings. Relocation of REDCINE-X has not been set. Reset has not been set.

Previously imported clips are clickable Source parameters. A same re-imported clip will also be grayed out option.

Question was not existing yesterday on Premiere Pro CC 2015...

For any clip of R3D (or another format that used to have the Source settings) imported CC, 2015, the settings feature moved to Master Clip effects. If you import a clip of R3D CC 2014 project, then the Source settings will be enabled in the project Panel.

Excerpt from the doc for help:

Parameters of source code available in the effect controls panel

For RED, ARRI, CinemaDNG, DPX and Sony F65 media files, you can set the Source settings using the master tab in the effect controls panel. Previously, the settings of the Source were available in a modal dialog box.

Looking at the specs of your camera (SJCam 4000), we already know what video compression your camera uses. It is H.264.

A H.264.mov file should be accompanied by a first elements 11. On what computer operating system is your first items 11 running?

  • You can import a clip AE for first without going through After effects itself?

You can import a clip AE for first without going through After effects itself? Or do I need to export the clip of Ae. and if I do I lose quality viable? I want to so other people working on my project, but they have that first.

    Thank you

By their very nature, the "les «clips» clips" EI means that they have been exported.  So, according to their file format, they can be importable in PR. Lossless codecs are guaranteed to ensure no loss of quality when importing.

If you mean an Ae composition, the dynamic link requires an installed version of Ae.  There is no loss of quality in a dynamic link.

  • Clip MP4 will not accept transition

I use Adobe first Pro CS5.5.

I'm editing a fairly simple project. I want to make the transition between two clips MP4. For some reason any clip #1 does not accept the transition. He appears on the clip #2. Interestingly, when I remove the clip #2, the first clip will accept a transition. I have the feeling that it is something is, but I can't put my finger on it. I've never experienced this before.

From the file "I must be stupid", I've shortened by some executives and hit #2 against clip #1 clip and it works fine now. Thanks for the quick response and Merry Christmas!

  • Import clips from his lack of Sony HXR-NX5E

    Hello!

Thanks Adobe to bring us first, but in 2012, according to me, that the import clips should not be so annoyingly difficult.

I imported clips using "import" and «media browser.» Two ways to let me with picture but the sound is "not there", or sometimes very "crisp/digital." Clips of same see to VLC player works fine, but the sound does not come from my helmet. For some reason, it's using the internal speaker, but it seems OK. I use sony HXR-NX5E, first CS 6 and I am on win 7 64 bit. Don't know what sound card I use.

Update: prelude (never used before) I can see soundwaves and hear the noise? It is low, but can be used. Now... What can I do to get into the first and preserve the sound?

    Thanks for the ideas...

    Hello!

Jeff Merci for your help. I discovered that the upgrade of MasterCollection (creation) 5.5 to 6 makes the difference about this problem. Files now import correctly. They are not under MC 5.0 and 5.5. Boring!

For any other still struggeling 5.5 and the same problems I have no solution, but in response to Jeff:

    1 tried both:

    (a) copy all folders and files of the map

    (b) imported only the master to mts

2 it is correct. Bad Examplefile, but the same problem on other files with the longest span (check Media Info below another file)

3 no, but the camera have two bays of card. All content has been saved on this single card. I can't believe that something has been recorded on the other card. That would be awkward and files from one card work in Prelude (poor audio) and VLC as they are.

4 as well as the rules on the media. Problem is the software/hardware/operating system?
