  I am under PhotoShop CS5 and After Effects CS5 on Windows 64-bit machine. I want to import a layered PhotoShop file and keep the layers so I can animate the separated elements. Sometimes, everything works fine and I get the PS icon waited in the timeline panel for each layer. But sometimes, everything done exactly the same thing, I get a funny icon on the left (RGB?) and the bounding box of each layer is the size of the model with the anchor point in the middle of the model.   The problem is caused by importing a Photoshop file with the sequence checked Photoshop laminate, then click on import in the form of composition. I made a short video to show the difference when you import the same file with two different settings. The problem you will have, is that the images won't be long 2 images.

  It is however a work around this problem if you are engaged in the project loan. First solution, re - import the same PSD file with the correct settings, and then replace the image in each layer.   You have a "bad". Remove all the fonts which you do not currently need and added recently, then try again. If necessary, remove all the fonts down to only the default fonts of operating system, and then selectively add additional fonts only when you really need it.

  Our graphics Department have recently install Photoshop CS6 version 13.0 x 64. I'm going to open a .psd file, they created in After Effects CS5.5 version 10.5.1.2. However, I get the following message:

  "After effects error: could not open (.psd name) because it is not a valid Photoshop document." (51: 19) »

  Is there some way they can save their files in photoshop differently so that they will open or do I need to upgrade to After Effects CS6?

  I've never met such a problem and switch between the two versions on a regular basis.  On the machine, I'm working on right now I have CS6 installed creative cloud, but most of my AE work in CS5 or 5.5 because customers, I work for no upgarded yet.  But all my PSD work in CS6.

  Is there anything unusual in the file, 3D content IE?  As Mylenium says 3D PS has changed and is no longer supported by AE.  If not, you move between platforms, IE Windows to Mac?  Is the file has a valid PSD extension?

  Yes, usable only between the same dynamic link versions products. You can complete rditing and export a first Pro CC and take it to After Effects for further editing, but dynamic linking is not possible in this case.

• I lost the license for Photoshop and After Effects when updating to CC, 2015

  When I updated all of my applications to 2015 CC, I lost the license for Photoshop and After Effects. All my other apps are not affected. I tried following the instructions here: Creative Cloud applications unexpectedly back in the test mode. CS6, CCM but it still says that there is no license associated with my account.  I'm running OS X version 10.9.5 and I version the full creative cloud student. What else could I do to retrieve my apps? Thank you.

  1 intent: Im using Photoshop CS5 (PS5) & After Effects CS5 (AE5) to create a DVD for still CS5 (5) menu. I used the 'Film & Video' preset in PS5 do a standard HD x 1080px 1440 image format; who looks the same in AE5. My problem is in the PS5 size "Pixel Aspect Ratio Correction" is the size I want the universal size to be. Its a more elongated version that looks better to me, but works well with HD monitors (as this DVD will play on a computer 17 "laptop).

  I love my monitors that are be 1920 x 1080. For editing, etc., it does not matter. Size to see all the controls, etc. is nice. The important part is keeping the proportions. Again, first, After Effects do default. When you preview material outside these programs, especially HD, some players (things of sense as Windows Media Player, Quicktime, VLC media player, etc), won't get the proportions provided, particularly when you assign to the 'full screen '. They are likely to play your movie to the size of the screen, and it will depend on what is perhaps the "native resolution" of the screen. Look for the settings of these programs which retains the proportions.

• After Effects CS5 - Keylight 1.2 pipette crashes on me!

  Recently, I worked on an independent project and I created some green screen footage and tried to edit it in After Effects.
  After that I added the effect 1.2 Keylight to my images, I went to the Eyedropper to click on it and then it crashes on me and gives me an error and stops completely After Effects!

  I managed to take a screenshot of the error popup so that way you guys can see for yourselves.

  

  I thought that, maybe, it has the. MP4 video.  So, I converted the video to a .avi file and tried to apply the same Keylight effect again.  Once I clicked on the pipette, it gave me the same message again and stops After Effects.  I thought maybe it was only the video files that cause problems?  So, I thought I tried a green screen image, and the error came again.  Maybe it's the project file?  Nope.  I started a new publication and added in the video in the composition, added tried 1.2, Keylight effect by selecting the pipette and once more... it still gives me the error.

  The problem is not video or image.  It's the Keylight 1.2 pipette that is causing the error.  I thought that, maybe, I need to update my laptop?  Updated, still the same problem.  The next thing I did was trying to find a way to solve this problem online.  I noticed that there is an update for Adobe After Effects CS5 update 10.0.02.  So, I updated to After Effects and restarted my laptop.  When I went back in After Effects and still applied the same effect and when I tried selecting the eyedropper... gives me an error... once again.

  I'm sorry if this sounds a little repetitive, but I wanted to be thorough in my explanation that I can try to find a solution to this problem.  I really need this to work again because I'm working on a very important project.  It's weird, the Keylight 1.2 never gave me any problems in the past.  It works perfectly at the time.  So, why he does not correctly now?

  Let me guess, you use Yosemite or newer on your operating system?

  If so, be aware that CS5.5 and earlier are not supported on this OS, so should have weird bugs.

  That being said, go to your preferences and change the use System Color Picker setting and see if that helps.

  I currently have the Trial Version of After Effects CS5.5 installed. I'm under a bad audio problem. For the first 2 days, that I used it, the sound was fine, he played automatically and I didn't even have to make the first to get it.
