  Deleted file recovery can recover incomplete files, i.e. the part of these files may be missing.  Recover deleted files is much more reliable if recovery of a backup, instead of using recovery software.

  These things depend on the operating system and the file system.

  One thing, you can see: open one of these files damaged with a text editor, and then make sure that the constant % PDF is somewhere in the first 1024 bytes.

  Error Code 2000-0151 indicates a hard drive failure. Please back up all your important data. Hard drive needs to be replaced.

• Unable to find files and folders using Windows Search

  Original title: Windows search returns no results, but only for a single user - another user works very well - Windows 7

  All of a sudden windows search of files and folders (from windows Explorer) do not return results - even if I'm looking for in a folder with a file name that I know is in there.  However, it works for the other user on this system.

  The things that I tried or looked at who did not work:

  • Configuration of the default folder options.

  • sfc/scannow - said "windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to solve some of them.  I have the CBS. If necessary log file.

  From your description, I suspect that you have selected Open Documents as tabs in the Interface preferences section.

  Your first image doesn't go away, but is in tabs at the top of the images.

  If you prefer to see the images separately, uncheck the box of Documents open as tabs, as shown below

  I need to know if someone have take a cold copy of database (data file and redologs) using the unix dd command.
  The problem is related to the value to be assigned to "bs" in the DD.
  
  For the data file, I know to do the same thing of block_size for the tablespace. I'm not sure of the value to assign to "bs" to the redologs.
  
  Any suggestions are appreciated.

• I am running LR3 on Win 7 x 64. I have a few questions.

  1. I have a hard drive that is assigned to the drive letter "B:\. "Why the import file does not see this disc in the list of drives? I use "other readers" and to travel whenever I want add files to this disk. Other readers, including network drives are very good.

You can uncheck the checkmarks next to folders in the Destination Panel on the right side of the import dialog box.

You cannot select the disk, but you can select "All photos" at the top of the left panel. You can also shift-click all the top-level folders under a volume to select them all.

Right click on the folder that is currently higher level in your folder pane and select 'Add parents' until you are satisfied with the hierarchy. When you reach the parent level you want, you can click the folder parent for select you all files of a certain drive, as you asked the question #3.

  • Several thousand HTML topics with a tag based (full of subject content such as titles, text and images) is distributed among hundreds of windows folders in a hierarchy.

  What I want to do:

  • Import all these themes in my project without manually add all folders and import of files folder by folder.
  • That in the future, since the new folders and topics are added frequently, and we do not work in Robohelp (we create the files in a text editor because we don't like Robohelp text editor or what he does to the code in the source files).

  I tested the import on a dozen different topics in different folders to make sure that everything works and I'm very happy with the result. As far as I understand it, Robohelp is not aware of the folders/files in your project folder and does not import batch feature. Adding new files manually for each version just isn't an option.

  Two options.

  1] just to create a copy of the project in Windows Explorer, rename the project and clean.

  [2] recreate the folder structure. For each folder, you can select all the files it contains in a go, you can't import file-by-file. Not sure if you realized that.

  As you found, you cannot import the folder structure.

  You deleted a Windows file system file, or a folder of bookmarks in Firefox?

  If you delete a folder in the Windows file system, normally it goes in the trash. See: ws.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/recover-files-recycle-bin#1TC=windows-7

  If you have deleted a folder of bookmarks in Firefox, and if you have not closed out of Firefox, you can undo the change in the Library dialog box. Either:

  • CTRL + SHIFT + b
  • Menu button bookmarks > show all bookmarks

  In the menu/toolbar of the dialog bar library search organize (the first menu) and use Undo. You may need to use several times if you have made other changes after that.

  I'm helping a friend transfer files from laptop running Windows XP 32 bit on a desktop running Windows 8 64-bit PC.  I want to be sure easy transfer will work.

  The use of a USB stick to transfer files works if you have only a few gigabytes of Documents, pictures, music and videos. Assuming that the old computer supports usb 2.0 (if it is longer than 5 years, she probably only support usb 1.0) over a network connection 100 Mbps local, there is no contest, the connection to the local network is much faster. Unless you really know what you're doing isn't the best advice. Do you know how to transfer your settings to internet explore (i.e. Favorites), passwords, certificates, outlook, etc. etc. ?   Ive been working on a computer of illustrator in AE CS3 without any problems until I increased the duration of past image projects. I interpreted the images in a loop so I could animate with it, to see that EI plays a file that I never once imported, all other images. Its those colorful bars of tv with a black sign in the top left with the name of a pdf file that was sitting in the same folder as my computer. Not only that, but its extremely slow play.

  Looks like you may have imported the Illustrator document and the PDF as a sequence of images, rather than as individual images.  They have the sequential names?

  In your original (problematic) model, replace the original file with the Illustrator document, but ensure that the "Image Sequence" checkbox is unchecked in the import dialog box.

I was previously using Internet Explorer 8 and now IE7.  When I try to download and install IE8, it blocks the download, runs for hours without having to download anything.
