Importing Premiere Pro: duration depends on the prefs.

Hello

I've implemented an importer that calculates the length of the item imported using pref which can be changed by the user. This works if only one instance of the imported component is present.

When multiple instances of the element are present and each lasted different due to different prefs, first sets the last calculated the duration to all occurrences of the element.

Why is the first think that the duration of a clip is always independent of the stored preferences?

What can I do?

Best regards

Bjoern - Gdanietz-

Hi Bjoern,

I see the problem you see.  Our titration module behaves differently, and more as you are pregnant, which is a good deal for our importer API to follow the same approach.

Good feature request.

  • After the upgrade to CC2015 Premiere Pro crashes everytime on the launch

After the upgrade to CC2015 Premiere Pro seems to be the only program that does not work. It crashes every time on the launch.

    I am running Windows 8.1 on a laptop Alienware15.

I have 2 video cards: Intel HD 4600 Graphics and AMD Radeon R9 M390X

I have games updated for both driver.

I'm not under a second monitor and I tried to uninstall the program several times and reboot the computer and logging in and out of the creation of clouds.

I do not know how to log an incident report, but I would love to help with this problem since I was starting school in two days and I need this problem as soon as POSSIBLE. I have checked the forums and have yet to see a solution that doesn't involve no Mac and second monitors.

I had already tried the shift + alt method nothing helps.

I had a discussion with Adobe online help. After they disabled my graphics card, the program of Premiere Pro worked again. I was told to get a different graphics card of their 'approved list' of the graphics card. When I refused this option they renamed some system32 file for a "solution" to this problem. From what I can tell, they renamed the 'OpenCL.dll' to 'oldOpenCL.dll '.

It seems to work now. So, until further notice, this problem has been resolved.

  • Premiere Pro CC 2014 launch the new Macbook Pro

As if Adobe problems with my new Mac Pro is not enough, I can't even first Pro 2014 to start on my top 2 dating from the day of the laptop line. I searched it online without answers in the forums on this site or on Creative Cow.

Everything is updated. Freshly installed Premiere Pro CC 2014 through the creative application of cloud. When I run the application, I get the initial screen with the beach ball and it never opens. Fan of my Macbook Pro goes haywire, and no other applications won't work (including the activity monitor). I have to manually, press and hold the power button & force shutdown every time.

I was going to finish some changes at home this weekend, but now I have to get back to the Office Sunday & work on my another troubled system. Therefore, on these issues with Premiere Pro. Help?

Thanks guys, but none of the recommendations has contributed with the exception of Jason on the copy of the user data on. I called Adobe tech support and while I had my head turned work something else, the guys reset some of my adobe via the Console app and Ottoman info, the app has opened. I was amazed because my technical support calls are usually long and often no fix is reached. This time, the guy slayed it. Feels good to win one!

  • Why Premiere Pro not to see the place to install in my Adobe Application Manager?

Why Premiere Pro not to see the place to install in my Adobe Application Manager?

Please confirm what operating system you are using

If you continue Windows then go to control panel-> add and remove programs and uninstall completely the first pro then install using creative cloud.

If you use MAC OS, then go to Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers and double-click uninstaller first Pro to uninstall completely.

If the problem is still not resolved on your computer then please use Adobe CS tool cleaner to clean the application completely. You can download the CS cleaning tool from: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

After uninstalling and cleaning it try to reinstall the software.

  • Imported Premiere Pro titles show solid black hiding the movie

    Hello

After many efforts to caption a movie in Premiere Pro and to return via After Effects, I was surprised that all titles are blocking the screen with a black color, it seems they are intended per AE titles but solids that have the black color.

Anyway I can make AE understand here are the titles? or do seem like title instead of block my black screen?

    Thank you

Nope. The titles are unique to the first. Share rendering while at first there is no way to get them across.

  • I want to use a chart of real-time-drawn arrow in Premiere Pro (a bit like the Tarantino style).

I created a graph of arrow in After Effects, and I want to import into Premiere Pro to cover a precise shot to point AT something. The problem is, after I made the chart after affects and import it into Premiere Pro, the arrow is there but the graph also includes the solid square color background. I don't want the background. I want just the arrow, so that I can ask on a whim. How can I do?

    Thank you

    Jake

Make some AE by using a codec that supports alpha channels.  I like Quicktime movies in the Animation or PNG codec for it.  RGB + Alpha, Millions of colors + and straight (i.e. NOT premultiplied).

Use the rendering queue.  Do not export.

  • CS6 still hangs when importing Premiere Pro CS6

When a project to send again as a dynamic link of Premiere Pro still crashes message will then appear that it has stopped responding then closes. How do we get this works?

The computer has a processor Intel Core i7, 16 GB of RAM and running Windows 7 Pro x 64 with Service Pack 1. Adobe CS6 Master Collection is installed. The computer is joined to a domain, Windows Server 2012 and the user of the machine has local administrator rights.

After Adobe has been uninstalled and reinstalled several times without success. Sometimes after re-installation, a dynamic link to still send will import as expected once, but then after the computer is restarted, the problem will occur again. This has been tried with and without having to install Adobe updates. The system has also been cleared and had Windows and clean all the software installed on it again that has not solved the problem.

    Hi all

Apologies for resurrecting a dead thread, but this one is finally over.

It turns out that the problem was double. One, there was an error message indicating that the drivers are faulty and if they have been updated. The second problem seems to be that one who has implemented double-screens used an exit from the motherboard and another graphics card.

Once these issues have been resolved and the cables were replaced the problem disappeared.

  • Premiere Pro CS4 video fills the whole frame.

My Windows Movie Maker has stopped working so I bought it and I regret it completely. WMM is so simple and straightforward. I don't want a software that takes a genius to use. Even I could design a better software.

In any case, for some reason when I import a video on my project it fills the screen. It is black boarder thick around her. I did research it and I saw a lot of things on the elongation or something like that. But I'm not a computer genius and adobe is expected of course as everyone else so I was wondering if someone could help me. Thank you.

Heres a pic so it can help.

    Welcome to the forum.

When its assets are either zoom-in, or have black bands around them, in the timeline, it is usually because the predefined sequence/project does not have the 100% source footage.

In CS4, when you create a new project, they will set some preferences global and then invited to create a new sequence (chronology). It is here that we will need to know the full specs. their source files, and then select a predefined sequence to match these assets 100%. There are many Presets and then one 'special', the desktop Preset. What makes this 'special', is that you can set almost all the parameters for costume/game, such as the size of the image (this is where you are off), FPS, etc.

If you can tell us the complete specifications. of your source footage, anyone can tell you exactly what Preset to choose, or how to customize the desktop Preset to match. That will fill your frame perfectly.

PrPro from CS4 has the ability to have different sequences for different sequences, in the same project.

Now, WMM is well enough designed to deal with standard WMV images, is very limited on the one hand, but on the other hand, simple to use - many, many fewer choices to make. It's 'standard', or nothing.

When you have explored the power of PrPro and get used to the implementation of your footage, you will come to love him. The 'power' is intoxicating, and operations will become second nature.

I highly recommend a great book, Adobe Classroom in a Book for Adobe Premiere Pro CS4, Adobe Press. The author you will return you though first the concept of using a NLE (of Non-linear editing), then give you a tour of GUI (Graphical User Interface) program. Then, although the use of resources and projects, you will return the reader through all aspects of the process of with PrPro CS4 edition. When you are finished, there will be very little, that you will not have been exposed to. Curt spends a good part of the time by saying the drive all on the 'why' and not only the "how".

PrPro-Wiki has a great FAQ section on how to do most of the things in CS4 and should be bookmarked.

Believe me, the operation will change from 'rocket science' to 'second nature '.

    Good luck

    Hunt

  • Re: I have installed Premiere Pro, but cannot start the program.

I really want to know what is the problem as well, this happens to me also. All I want is to be able to use Premiere Pro, which is such a sin Adobe! I'm running on Windows 10 Home and my creative cloud tells me my Premiere Pro is up to date, but I can't click on it to open it, or find it anywhere in my applications OR my program files. WHY ADOBE? PLAY WHAT I PAID FOR MY PLAN JUST BECAUSE OF PREMIERE PRO AND NOW YOU'RE PULLING THIS BULL ON ME? * cries *.Capture.JPG

    Hi Marumi/Luisl21912491/Tulikas46356428,

I would ask you to check after the links and the requirements of your system.

I hope this information would help, and we encourage you to update this discussion in the case where you need help with this.

For more information on the specifications of your hardware, you can post your question in Forum Hardware.

    Thank you.

I've just updated Premiere Pro, and now it launches more. Only a question mark on the icon appears. The same thing happens with Illustrator, After Effects, and Photoshop. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this?

I thought about it. I just reinstalled all my apps that wouldn't launch and it works fine now. You can simply uninstall the apps screen update CC and then install here once again.

  • How to collaborate on a Premiere Pro project and share the license?

Hello! A friend and I are currently working on a family film. We live 50 miles away, and each of us wants to edit the film when we have free time in the coming months 2-3 turns. I own Adobe Creative Cloud and allowed to use the first Pro/After effects/Photoshop, but it does not work.

I'm responsible for putting in place the system where we can all work together two, but I've never done this before. How can I configure something like this? I've heard Adobe anywhere... does this apply to me? I understand that I can share my CC license with up to a user, also. This way my friend can access on your PC the same set of Adobe software that I use.

Side note: I saw a video where I can write notes to my friend on the Premiere Pro timeline. It's really very well, that I can ask him "Do you like the shade of color to this photo?" or "you can change the region colored in blue. I'll work on this another area I marked in red.

How could manage shared project files, images, audio, files video proxy to separate (or even do I proxies more these days?), etc. ? And I use a LUT (*.cube) for the color adjustment. Is it as simple as send him a copy of the LUT file?

A birds-eye-view of best practices would be great.

    Thank you!

Thank you, John. That's what I wanted to say... that the license allows installation on two computers. I used the term "sharing license" in the title of the post to refer to the "license management" regarding teamwork, not not to give my driver's license. He is not a person of running back-to-back between two computers. I need something where both can work on the project at the same time. I found that something called "cloud for creative teams". I consider the question.

But I'm always interested to learn the whole system I need to implement in order to make this work.
