Importing video in the h.264 format gives a green image, distorted and doubled.

Hello!

Lately, I've been tranfering a lot of old vidoes of analog tape in digital video. All were created as H.264 mp4 640 x 480 with Elgato Video Capture. And all video files display fine in VLC, Media Player Classic, Quicktime and even iMovie. Some of these import fine at first CS5.5 without problem, but some end up green research, distorted and doubled, like this:

http://i1.creativecow.net/u/239486/greendistorted.jpg

I tried to interpret the film on its broken attachments, set the framerate on a constant like 25 fps. But this seems to have no effect.

When I try to import the same file in After Effects CS5.5, I get this error: after effects error: overflow of conversion ratio denominator 17::18

http://i1.creativecow.net/u/239486/errorae17.18.jpg

Anyone here have any ideas what's going on. I cut two against eachother to find some differences, but there is none, as I can see.

Any help would be appreciated!

Here is a description of the videofile:

  • Mounting to the h.264 format

I am new to Adobe Premiere Final Cut. In Final Cut 7, they recommend that you convert your h.264 videos in Apple ProRez before modifying. It is a big pain for me because after shooting my Canon D5, it is tedious and cumbersome to convert all images shot at this large file size. I prefer to be able to edit in the h.264 format, and then convert them to the ground full 1080 p.

As I understand it, we can do this in Premiere Pro CS6. Is that correct. I hope so because I just edited my last short in this way and I'm hoping to get out in full quality.

Edit your videos in native mode and out put everything you want is how we roll into Adobe Premiere... If that's what you're asking.

  • No Audio when you import videos in the timeline?

Hello everyone. I came across a problem that I can't get my head around.

I tried to import a set of videos I recorded Via an ingame recording software called Overwolf. The clips will work perfectly with audio on VLC + Windows Media Player drive. However, when you import videos to the Prime Minister to be edited, they do not have any audio file attached. I searched around other topics similar to this one and have had no success.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Still think you should try the brake hand.

Change the advanced options on the 'Format Options' in the output module and change the MPEG level. You use a MPEG preset that has constraints of framerate and the size is not compatible with the settings of your comp.

  • Try to export images to the h.264 format, but trouble with the heavy compression artifacts. Help please!

    Hey there,
I'm trying to export my short 10 min of Premiere Pro in the codec h.264 for Vimeo and Youtube. The problem is that whenever I try to export, there are some heavy compression artifacts in the exported file. For most pixelation and sound/colournoise. I have no idea where it comes, as I tried even to export an uncompressed avi, and then import it's an avi to export such as H.264, once again, nothing has changed. The artifact occurs on clips of same each time and disappear for the duration of the clip as well, really weird!
    Any help is appreciated!

I downloaded the video compressed with the objects here: heavy in first Pro CC 2014 - YouTube compression artifacts is a good example to: 03:59

Otherwise I could export to Final Cut Pro X, but I can't import the AVI, suggestions?

Do you use the youtube preset for h.264 for encoding?

If this is not the case, try it.

you use "use previews" when encoding?

    If so, try without preview.

    What bitrate do you use?

you will get more detailed and faster, help if you explain your more detailed export settings.

a screenshot of your export settings page could help.

  • Cannot import videos in the Lightroom library.

I have a problem to import video files (.) (MOV), coming from the iPhone in video.

When I press "import...". "and choose my files (video only 10 sec, 28MB in size), the window of exploitation would freeze for a while, then video preview could not build.

However, I always press low import, the photo still can import with success, but video cannot, and the task bar would freeze FOREVER.

(The photo then the video also could not import too.)

The Lightroom had been updated to the latest version (5.6), OS is Mac OS X Yosemite.

I searched the previews, included discussions

Lightroom restarts, restart the computer, delete and rebulid preference "com.adobe.Lightroom5.plist" files

    Remove and reinstall Lightroom

    Delete and re-create the catalog

Remove the video covers (by lightroom preference, file manipulation, clear Cache.)

Then, I found that I do not have the video cache files in my user library

    Users / [username] / Library/Caches/Adobe /.

Do not display the Lightroom folder from other computers of Lightroom installed. (Another mac also use OS X Yosemite and import fine.)

I press down right, check that I have "Read & Write" permissions the Adobe folder.

The question is: How can I tell Lightroom to generate the video cache files?

Or are there other reasons the problem of import?

Please help me, thank you very much.

Finally, to solve the problem by myself.

    a. force quit Lightroom 5

    b. remove the file and the folder below:

    1 /User/[username]/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.Lightroom5.plist

    2 /users/ [username] / Library/Preferences/Adobe

    c. re-open the 5 Lightroom

    Now, everything's fine.

The video preview generate well and quickly import.

  • After the publication of video in Movie Maker, it has a large green block down and extends the video

I used a video camera to make a video and down it loaded on my computer.  Director of Windows wouldn't let me not download it from there, I guess that he could not read, so I converted it on AVS video converter 7.1 for mp4, which was unreadable on windows movie maker.  I then converted it to an avi and easily, he was transferred.  My problem is now, after the publication of the final draft of the film, he shows a huge green block at the bottom of the video and stretches horizontally on video.  This is not displayed when you edit the movie in windows movie maker, please help.

    Hello

Since you used the 3 part video conversion software, we have no way of knowing what has occurred with the video. The only thing we can suggest is to follow the instructions in the following articles using the original video recorded and imported into Movie Maker:

Sounds like you have a compatibility issue with the
video file. If convert you to WMV format before
import into Movie Maker, you can get a better
