Imports of PSE9 duplicate images...?

Hello

Since I had PSE7 and PSE9, I used the Organizer - Ctrl-G to import my images.

I have checked preferences - "copy new files only (Ignore already imported).

Forever, it has never imported photos on the card that had already been imported.

Now, suddenly, it is important that all images on the card, for those who are already imported, it adds a '-1' in the end of the file name. "

This behavior started happenning a few months ago - everyone seen elsewhere?

More imprtant, someone knows how to fix this?

Thank you

Bryan,

Hello

I did a few tests with PES 9 on Windows 7 and I think that the cause of the problem may be the options advanced in the Photo Downloader dialog box. I think that if you have something in the creator or the copyright field, the file will change when written on your hard drive. When the card is used, the Downloader does not receive an exact match on the files and then download the file again.

Can check you if you use these fields.

I never noticed the problem (bug?) until you raised it as after I downloaded the contents of a card and check out the new photos, I put the card in my camera and format it.

  • Import of sequences of images to adapt to 1080 p video layer

Very new to Photoshop and Lightroom so forgive me if it's made clear... but I exported hand drawn animation of images from Lightroom and their import in the form of sequences of image in Photoshop and can't seem to get the right size to fit the preset HD1080p video layer. I exporting photos from Lightroom to the same 1920 x 1080 pixel dimensions and the sequence of images always comes out smaller than the size of the canvas. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!!!

OK, the thing is this - when you export your image from Lightroom, you have it set on "Resize to fit" 1920 x 1080. This means that the image will be enlarged or shrunk as much the current report width / height image (no stretch) to fit in the dimensions list. Apparently, your image isn't "in shape" 1920 x 1080. It appears to be from a camera, which probably has a 4:3 aspect ratio. Lightroom is not crop or stretch the image, it just enlarges or reduces evenly so that it fits in the dimensions.

To solve the problem, go to the Lightroom Develop Module and choose the Crop Tool (R). Then, change the size of the harvest up to 1920 x 1080 (16: 9), and you will see immediately that part of your image will have to be trimmed to fit the desired shape:

Once your image is cut in the shape of 16:9 aspect ratio, the export will completely fill the frame and images will be the full 1920 x 1080 as you hear it.

I can see your illustrations you might be sacrificing some important parts of the image to crop. It's a sad reality while you work in different proportions. It is always profitable start your work with the image format you want to use for the final production - if you know in advance what will be.

  • Delete duplicate images

I just noticed that I have some duplicate images (which is my fault, LR).  Is there a quick way, I can get LR to ID the duplicated images (duplicates have exactly the same names) and remove them?

    Thank you

    Pete

    Hi Pete,.

You can sort the images by file name and search for duplicates by file name because there is no direct way to search for duplicates.

Or, you may want to get a third party plugin to get rid of the duplicates.

  • How to import a sequence of images tiff 29.97 to 25 fps Timeline - lag-free

    Hello

I got a montage of CG according to effects in TIFF, Targa of 29.97 FPS, but I need the output to 25 fps in Premiere Pro... SO I created a sequence in DSLR 1080p25

After you import the sequence of images in the chronology of 25 fps (29.97 FPS), when I play, he jumps for each image, I can't get a steady flow of the video.

I tried changing the settings as the film to 29.97 to 25 fps, even after that when I drag the file of sequence of image to the script it shows 29.97 FPS and video gets dragged

    Please give me your Suggestions...!

  • import of sequences of images in Adobe Muse

I have 36 pictures representing a rotation of 360 degrees of an object in 3D, I created. I want to import this sequence of images directly in Muse. Can I do this?

Gaurav, the really cool thing is I have two ways to navigate through JPEG files: 1 - is to simply scroll to the bottom and the animation occurs. This was easy to do using the effects of roll and slide show option. 2 - Use the arrows embedded on the new Widget layout or scroll down button. It's great. No one should ever have to ask how to do this again. Can I make a video tutorial if you wish?

This solves all the headaches of sorts. Now, I do most of my reading 3D natively in Muse. It is simple to do and the blank template retains fade transition which is a windfall.

    Thank you

  • Import sequences of multiple images in first effectively

I'm about to start editing a project which includes a few hundred cinemaDNG sequences of images. Is it just me or are there at - there no way to import sequences of images in large numbers quickly and efficiently and without boring myself in a grave at the beginning?

If I import a main folder that contains many subfolders of sequences of images, first think very long and then matter each sequence of images of hundreds of times. It seems to look in the folder image sequence, and then for each frame in the sequence import a version of the sequence of the entire image. Bonkers.

The alternative is to import each of my sequences of images individually. Cmd - I, put you in the folder, click an image, wait for import, repeat hundreds and hundreds of times. I'm sorry but this is a shortcut to mental illness and/or carpal syndrome.

Adobe. Please, I beg you. People want to work on many many sequences of images. Not one or two. Please get it together.

Or am I missing something here?

First of all, what version of PrPro you are on?

In all cases, you should not import each sequence of images of hundreds of times. If it does than 10 this part is a bug. What he will do when importing from parent folder level, must import each folder that contains each (sequential) image as a separate file rather than as a sequence of images. To import as a sequence of images, you must use the import dialog box. Browse to find the first frame of the sequence. When you have selected, you can check the "Image Sequence" option in the dialog style OS and then import it will know to import all the images as a single item of the image sequence. It is separate from a regular sequence PrPro point and is in fact just treated like any other clip media. However, it is true that you can not import many sequences of images at a time of in a common Press Kit due to this design limitation where the first image must be explicitly selected before the "image sequence ' box United Nations-grays." Part is a feature request.

  • Import stalls on 25 images

I am trying to import 2 000 new images LR 3.4 and it is important top 25 as always, then everything crashes. The progress bar just sits there, like it works, but it never progresses and other images never imported. The program works very well, if a little slow during this time - I can discover, develop, etc.

Using LR for years and never had this problem before. On a MacPro using 10.5.8. Just back from a mission with the new batch of images. No changes were made to equipment.

Any ideas? I'd go crazy if I have to import all the images of 2 000 25 both...

    Thank you

Diga, remove first the feedback file on your desktop and try again, the location is: user > library > preferences > com.adobe.lightroom

Remove all lightroom ones (with closed Lightroom) on the desktop and restart LR. Test import - fingers crossed!

  • Why some duplicate images are not importing?

I have a catalog with about 70 000 pictures, not video. Someone sent me a flash drive, with several thousand more images. When I imported the Lightroom, it has imported photographs already in my collection (Yes, exclude suspected duplicates has been selected).

    2015 release; Generation 1018573

    • I've added metadata to the collection; is it possible that the date of metadata is different, so he considered news?
    • Lightroom not use the documentId or originalDocumentId to identify duplicates?
    • Is this a bug?

I appreciate any help or suggestions to prevent this from happening in the future.

It is not a bug, if you have "Including developing parameters in the metadata in JPEG, TIFF, PNG and PSD files" enabled in the settings of catalog?

If so what changes are saved to the file (CTRL + S) the file metadata is more matching the original file. When re-import the original file without metadata changes it is considered as a' new file' if it is imported into the same folder as the file currently imported, it is renamed from of-2.

I've never used, but this double Finder LR plugin can help locate the re-imported dupes:

    Hi kimberlynf,

If images are missing after import in Lightroom and showing gray-out, you can follow the link below for re - locate the missing images in Lightroom.

How to find missing photos in Photoshop Lightroom

In addition, if you looking to re - import all the images again and they are showing gray-out on the window import, then you should uncheck the "do not import suspected duplicates" option in the file management menu.

Let us know if that helps.

  • Import an 8-bit image into a 16 bit?

When you composite, I usually start with a background of 16-bit image opened in the PS of a RAW file previously edited in ACR. Then I put in other objects/elements that I shot to the same bit depth. However, I sometimes see a stock of 8 bit JPEG photo that could be useful. What are the limitations of importing a file of 8 bits in my main composite image of 16 bits, and is there a way to compensate? Thank you

... What about after importation and a change should be made? You can select the object and export, or convert its layer to file; apply a filter to the new file; then bring in the composite picture 16 bits? Anything else? Thank you.

Yes, you can duplicate a layer of 16 bits to a new document, put this new document mode to 8-bit, do 8-bit processing and then duplicate the layer turned to the 16-bit document.

Consider using dynamic objects. A 16-bit document can contain smart objects that enclose an 8-bit image file or a document file PS. double-click on the SO to open its contents in a new window, process which can save to update the SO in the document of 16 bits.

  • Download pictures from an SD card creates duplicate Images

    Hey all -

When I download pictures from an SD card from my camera via my computer's card slot, Lightroom seems to want to download ALL images on my card, including those that are already on my hard drive same destination, even though I checked the "Do not import suspected duplicates" in the Section "Filehandling" from the 'Import' in Lightroom window. Who's here - by is create several images in duplicate with a - 2 at the end of the file name, as well as take considerably more time to load than expected for just the value of a few days of News pictures that I want to download in the process.

I use the 'Rename of Images' function with the model 'Date - Filename', as well as the option "organize into subfolders: by Date ' Destination, with the format YYYY-MM-DD.

I could of course delete all pictures on my camera memory cards to avoid images duplicate being around in the first place. But, for many good reasons, I like to keep some of my images on my camera, even if I already downloaded them on my computer before.

My work around this problem so far has been to download them all, (again), then use the filter tool to list all images that have file names that end in-2, and then remove the disk, using the delete key. As a side note, I tried to set up a collection of smart to automatically set a filter like that for me, whiich he does very well, but unfortunately the images seen from within smart Collections are not removable.

If there is in any case to prevent Lightroom u / ing these images duplicate in the first place, since the box checked stating "Do not import suspected duplicates" doesn't seem to work, I would be very happy to know how to do this.

    Thanks again,

    T.

In the central panel of the screen, you must select New Photos. It is located between ALL and any DESTINATION PHOTOS, copy as DNG copy move add menu.
