Impossible to copy multimedia files on Stor.e tv + using LAN

If I try to copy files from my PC to my TV Stor.e film + using the network fails. Any ideas?

I can see the Video folder and open it.
I dropped a simple audio file on it and copies, but as soon as I try to make a video file, it is sitting there trying and it fails.

I get a msg saying to try again or cancel.
I click Cancel and it takes about 2-5 minutes for windows to react and stop.

I am running Win 7 Pro.
I have 8 GB of RAM and using a wired network.

What Miss me?

This means that the small files can be copied correctly and you are not able to copy large (movies) on the HARD drive?
Is this good?

Have you tried to copy the data using the USB port?
Check it! It would be interesting to know if this happens only by using the LAN connection!

    Hi GloriaZF,

What is the size of your external hard drive and what is the available free space? Open my computer-> right click on the external hard drive-> properties. You will not be able to copy more data if the disk is full, or who have less space compared to the size of the file you are trying to copy.

You need to remove the order data to make the space more. Deleted data from the device USB will be permanently deleted and will not be stored in your Inbox, so take care while eliminating unnecessary data.

    I hope this helps.

  • Impossible to copy some files!

Can I copy a file in a directory. Say that the file is Borgella. The copy appears as copy of Boggs. But if I try another file (say Biggs) no copy appears. There is no warning messgae. The Bloggs and Biggs have suffixes and identical properties.

Thanks much for that!  I found the problem. It was much simpler. It's just that I was doing the wrong way for some of the files!  I have now right click on the file (in Solution Explorer) and select "copy". Then simply not click right somehere in the list of files (which does not show of 'Paste' option). You have to click left on organize (top) and then paste is there. The file is copied, with the same file name more "-copy".

When you plug the phone for the first time, do you have the security warning popup in the phone to allow your connection to the PC? Also, have you tried using a different USB cable because I saw a few strings that load but not transfer files. Are you also connected to this PC as an administrator?

  • "Impossible to copy the requested resource is already in use" error message when you try to move the file to the thumb drive.

I'm going to try really hard to do this makes sense, but I don't know much about computers.  Bear with me.

Brother gave me a computer.  A graphics Nvidia GeForce 9800 inside.  Because it restored the system settings, the drivers are missing.  Can not connect this computer to the internet.

So, I went to the nvidia site and downloaded the necessary drivers on my OTHER computer, which is what I'm now on the right.  The download ends, and when I try to move the (drivers) file in the USB, I get this delicious "cannot copy xxxx that the requested resource is already in use".  It is not in use.  I can't even use it on this computer as its pilots for a graphics card that is not yet part of this computer.

What should I do to make sure I put the file with the drivers on a USB key, on the port to the other computer.

(by the way, this also occurs with a few random mp3s of the mine.  10 of the 12 tracks on a CD, for example, does copy on the USB no problem, but then two of them to come up with the error message, for no apparent reason.  Don't know if it's relevant)

Try another USB key. That one is may be damaged or failing. In the meantime, to burn the drivers on a CD - R disc (not CD - RW) to take the target machine. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • Copy the file to the current folder using QFile

Hi, I'm not too familiar with C++ and how bb10 manages the file system, and I'm trying to save the phone for assets app folder

I've searched the forums and this is what I have so far

    QFile::copy(QDir::currentPath() + fromPath, QDir::currentPath() + toPath);

where fromPath is the selectedFile from the picture picker (/ accounts/1000/shared/camera/IMG_00000151.png) and toPath is the path that I've specified (/ app/native/assets/pictures/IMG_00000151.png)

The problem is, QDir::currentPath() is back - /accounts/1000/appdata/com.example.TestApp.testDev_ple_TestApp96d891e_

Thus, the copy of the path becomes

    /Accounts/1000/APPDATA/com.example.TestApp.testDev_ple_TestApp96d891e_/accounts/1000/shared/camera/IMG_00000151.PNG

So I modified the fromPath to remove ' / accounts/1000 "so that the copy of the path becomes

    /Accounts/1000/APPDATA/com.example.TestApp.testDev_ple_TestApp96d891e_/shared/camera/IMG_00000151.PNG

But it does not save yet. My question is, what should the copy of the path and fromPath look like?

    Sorry for this noobish question.

I didn't notice you are trying to copy the current file. Assets folder is read-only (at least on the device Simulator it is possible to write in it). Use data / folder instead, it is read-write, but is deleted if the application is uninstalled.

    Hi Peter,

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community.

From your problem description, I understand that you are unable to transfer files from an external drive on another drive. Please let me know if this isn't the problem that you are experiencing.

Before troubleshooting, I have little information on the issue.

    1. Do you receive any error or display message?
    2. Did you recent hardware or modifications to the software on the computer before this problem?

Try the methods and then check after each method:

Method 1: Transfer files from a drive to the location on the desktop or a temporary folder and then try to transfer them to the destination disk.

Note: make sure the free space on the disk in the destination drive.

    Method 2: Run the Fixit:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/windows_file_and_folder_diag/

Method 3: Disconnect your player safely, and restart the computer. And then try to transfer the files.

If the problem persists, post your reply with results and questions above. We are happy to help you further in the advanced troubleshooting steps!

    It will be useful.

  • Impossible to copy files to the Sansa Fuze using Windows 7 (drag and drop, or Windows Media Player)

    Hello

Yesterday, I bought the Sansa Fuze and I have problems copying files to the device using either Windows Media Player (Sync) or Drag and Drop (Explorer).

    The symptoms are:

    (1) the device is recognized and available in Windows 7 (Series USB MSC - sorry don't have it with me right now)

    (2) took me to upgrade to the latest firmware, which has worked flawlessly

    (3) when I try to drag and drop a file on the device (I use Windows 7, 64-bit), it starts, but doesn't seem to calculate the size of the files or waiting time to download correctly.  It is followed by a slow progressive, until the computer crashes, resulting in a constant 100% of the CPU.  The only solution is a hard reboot

    (4) when you use Windows WM, the device is recognized, okay and the synchronization starts, but it then stops without reason.  Once again, the processor springs and requires a reboot

    (5) using the results 3 and 4 in 1-5 files being copied across, but not more.

    (6) I tried several albums and one album at a time, but cannot determine if that makes a difference.

    Help, please!

    See you soon,.

    Richard

It may be a bug in Windows 7. But one thing to try is to go to the Device Manager (assuming that Windows 7 still has), uninstall the "rocket" (under USB controllers), and then run add hardware to find and reinstall the driver.

Use the MTP with Windows Media Player mode, MSC mode without.

  • Impossible to copy .vmware bundle on network drive (super slow).  Do not have this problem with other files.

I'm just copying my pack of Windows 7 .vmware to a network drive so that it is saved.  It's only about 7 GB (expanding) and is divided into segments of 2 GB hard drive (the default installation option).

When I try to copy the file via the Finder, he said something ridiculous like 9 hours left!  I have a GB 30 Parallels VM I created (fixed size disk and do not divide into 2GB pieces) in the evaluation of Parallels and I can copy this whole file back on the network in one hour.

What gives?  Anyone have any ideas why I can't copy this particular file in a reasonable amount of time?  The virtual machine has been stopped (except some services run in the background on the start of OS X) and the host has restarted several times without success.

    Thoughts?

    Thank you!

1 stop, suspend, not from inside Windows Virtual Machine target.

    2. on the Virtual Machine library Windows ctrl + click on the target of the Virtual Machine and select Show in Finder, and then close merger.

    3. in the Finder, ctrl - click on the target Virtual Machine package and select to display the contents of the package.

    4. in the Finder, delete the Applications folder from the target virtual machine package and then empty the trash.  (To be noted that the Applications folder within the target virtual machine package will be recreated as necessary).

    5. now try to copy the target Virtual Machine package.

  • Best way to copy a file in the Finder

I am really struggling with the Mac interface, after having been a user of PC/Windows for decades.  I can copy/move files in Windows Explorer with ease.  On my MacBook, this simple task seems impossible.  My goal is to copy a file from one location to a specific folder.

In the Finder, I select the file I want to copy and select 'Copy' from the Edit menu.  I then navigate to the folder that I want to place the file, highlight this folder and select "Paste" from the Edit menu.  He went to put in the parent directory of the file I selected, not the folder selected.  Tried to do this by dragging a file (which is really hard when using the touchpad).  When I fall on the folder I want, once again, place it in the parent folder.  As I was doing this on a network (WD Cloud NAS) drive, I gave up and a PC to move the files where I wanted them.

This is ridiculous.  I thought that Macs were supposed to be easy to use.  I'm almost at the point of return my MacBook to the Apple store.

Hold down the Option key while you drag and drop.

  • IMac is not able to share multimedia files with multiple users on the same computer.

We just bought a new IMac that we were very excited.  We have phones Apple and iPads, replacement and ten year with a new Mac old PC made since.

Now, the trouble begins. For more than ten years Windows had several usernames on the same machine and have been able to have a shared folder only for music, pictures and video that my iTunes program and others could acsess and share from several user names. This kept all in one place for new photos families by me or my wife and our 30 gigabytes of music that comes from our CDs was available at bolt of us. Now in train to implement on IMac should be easy but is impossible.  after transferring the music to my login information, it cannot acsess all files on my login. I am not even able to share or provide his acsess. I can move the iTunes folder to my shared folder. She can get acsess now but iTunes says that the library file is locked. I worked with care from Apple on the phone for that sold, but they believe it will not be possible without creating two copies of the 30 gigabytes of music for each of us. who would take more hard drive when it failed too.  Sharing is not any help. These files were before iTunes. I'm not pay 30 dollars a month to store in icloudcor use a google reader slow to the Internet connection when everything's fine here. Apparently Applow programmers do not believe in sharing of multimedia files between two users on the same device, even if a PC does that very well. My choice here is so far have duplicates of all the photos, music and videos loaded on the disc for me and my wife, charge all the media for an external hard drive which for some reason any all Apple programs will share, or return the mac to another PC that will be able to make several connections with sharing music and photos. Apple if you are reading this you are 10 years behind on that. Not everyone is born in the last five years and bought their music on iTunes to be able to use home sharing. Home sharing cannot help this. your applications should be able to be told to use the media files shared without import copies to readers of the user. I am very disappointed. Someone else has any ideas for that?  I have pictures, not iPhoto. I have a week more to be able to return it. I'm not interested in making a fake account that is always connected to share or maintaining of me constantly connected. It should have been easy, I had to be happy to play with new software.

Photos, iPhoto and iTunes libraries must appear on an external hard drive that is formatted as shown below to be used by multiple users on the same Mac:

So get a properly formatted external HD and move your iPhoto/pictures of her as well as your iTunes library.  This way all your iMac users can access and use both libraries.

An alternative to the external HD method is to partition your internal hard drive into two partitions, one for libraries.  It is formatted as shown above and be large enough to contain the libraries and allow the expansion of libraries.
