(1) analyze the errors:

ORA-01081: cannot start already running ORACLE - he stop first

your database are open? Check it with--> sqlplus > select status from v$ instance;

(2) following error:

ORA-00202: control file: ' D:\ORACLE\PRODUCT\ORADATA\TEST\TEST_CONTROL01. CTL'

ORA-27038: created file already exists

(3) to create controlfile your database should be in status "Nomount". So:

SQL > shutdown immediate;

SQL > startup nomount;

    I am running windows xp sp2 and I put my site to dowload under (Tools/options), but when I select an MP3 file to download, firefox does NOT copy the file to my location of choice on my HD - instead, it opens a new window with a 'player' of fortune and starts to load the player with the MP3 file. The problem is that I have no idea where on my system, firefox has copied this file, so, I can't leave and come back later and read this MP3 file using winamp. I need to hear right then or lose - if I close this new window (with this puny little ' player'), then I lose the download, there where to put firefox on my PC (I have no idea where it is). It's all under firefox 25.0

    I also use FIrefox 12.0 on an older windows 2000 machine and that works perfectly - I can download any MP3 file, I want to, and downloads of firefox 12.0 (on win2k, sp4) to my location (on my HD), and it gives me the download window so I can watch its progress and have some control over break and resume , and, when it's done, the download window offers me the option 'open containing folder' so I can make sure that where I wanted. In other words, Firefox 12.0 on WIn2k, sp4 works better than firefox on winxp sp2 25.0! What gives? I went through and set up my options for XP just like I did with Win2k and everything looks good, but firefox 25.0 don't know just my chosen and always default place to give me fortune player and I am not able to actually copy the mp3 files on my hard drive - it's firerox almost unusable 25.0 since downloading mp3 files is a big part of my use firexfox - please help. I am not able to upgrade windows at this time, and since firefox 12.0 still works fine on win2k, I do not understand what has happened to firefox?

    Hello littleberry, you can click on the link that leads to an mp3 file or right click on the drive in firefox and choose to download the file like that...

    Hello;

    That's what I'd do:

    Primary backup (change in your directory as needed)

    RMAN RUN {
    allocate channel d1 type disk;
    backup format '/u01/backups/PRIMARY/df_t%t_s%s_p%p' database;
    sql 'alter system archive log current';
    backup format '/u01/backups/PRIMARY/al_t%t_s%s_p%p' archivelog all;
    backup current controlfile for standby format '/u01/backups/PRIMARY/sb_t%t_s%s_p%p';
    release channel d1;
    }

    Move the backup and duplicate like this:

    rman target sys/password@PRIMARY auxiliary /

    RMAN> run {
    allocate channel C1 device type disk;
    allocate auxiliary channel C2 device type disk;
    duplicate target database for standby nofilenamecheck;
    }

  • Deleted data file update the control file?

    Hello!

    I deleted a file from data in a tablespace. It was done on purpose because I have no more need. Unfortunately
    I have not updated the database control file, now I get an error message:

    ORA-01157: impossible to identify or to lock the 202 data file - see DBWR trace file
    ORA-01110: data file 202: "D:\ORACLE\PRODUCT\10.2.0\ORADATA\MINOTAUR\TMP_01.DBF."

    How update the control file to get rid of this error?

    I use Windows and exit DB 10.2.0.2.

    Thank you very much for your help!

    Christian

    I think that I made a mistake of reading here.
    Looks like you have deleted a TMP file.

    You then have to join v$ tablespace with v$ tempfile in the statement.

    It's a 10 G (or higher) database?

    Try to drop the tablespace that belongs to this data file, otherwise recreate the controlfile (needs database is offline)

  • the steps of the control file multiplexing

    I am preparing for the OCP and I met the case below and I don't know which is the right answer.
    So, could help the guys take the right one and explain why?

    144: you want to protect your database from single point of failure by multiplexing by the control file. Your database is started using SPFILE. You must perform the following tasks
    1. stop the database instance;
    2 copy the control to the new location.
    3 configure the parameter CONTROL_FILES.
    4 restart the instance.
    Select the order in which these tasks must be completed:
    (a) 1,2,3,4
    (b) 3,2,1,4
    (c) 3,1,2,4
    (d) 2,3,1,4

    the answer said c) is good.

    Here is my explanation, please see if it's good?

    to ensure the consistency of the control file before copying again place, we must stop the database.
    Thus, the order is 2 must be after 1, so we got a) or c).
    to configure CONTROL_FILES, you must start the instance at least, so we can eliminate one) and we left with c).

    Correct me if I'm wrong.

    Thanks to a bouquet.

    YES, there should be two controlfiles, otherwise you get errror "Can' identity controlfile.

    >

    My question is WHY NOT?
    These two controlfiles are the same, and instance would only need or read one of them to go further, then why not be able to mount the DB?

    It's depends on the parameter control_files you have defined in the PFILE/SPFILE file...
    multiplexing is to avoid the SPOF (single point of failure)...

    as you say, a lost controlfile... without informing you if the oracle database starts with unique controlfile... so, how can you know... If you continued if tomorrow you lost the other? While is it?

  • I copied the old file of passwords in the new profile, but do not see.

    Got a new laptop. Copied the content from the old profile to new profile. Most of the old information are there (bookmarks), but I do not see the passwords. I repeated copying the two files key3db and logins.json specifically, but even the passwords saved on my old profile are not there...

    Could you try again in a new profile and copy only the files logins.json and key3db?

    Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problem.

    See "create a profile":

    If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a profile already used in the new profile, but be careful not to copy files corrupted to avoid transporting more problems.

  • Copy the FTP files according to date and time

    Hi all

    I'm creating an application where I need to copy the last file created from a remote FTP site only. Thus, for example, if my remote/ftp location contains some folders and some files, it would list only the file that has been changed recently.

    Right now, NLST and LIST of commands give me the complete list of files and folders directly, but I don't need the file that has been recently modified.

    Can someone help me?

    Hello

    Unfortunately the LIST or the commands do not return good usable change dates and times.

    But there is an FTP task 'MDTM' command to get the date of the change of a specified file.

    You must run this command for each file individually.

    You use the FTP functions from the Internet Toolbox? Then you can do it like this:

    In the response string, you will get the response code (250 for successful operation) and the date of change.

    I think you need to find the last file with little code on the host based on the modification dates.

    Hope this helps

    Hello

    The files have already been burned on a DVD and therefore cannot be converted. However, you can download and install third-party codecs to play .m2ts files.

  • How can I specify location of the control file when the manual creation of DB?

    DB version: 11.2.0.4

    OS: Oracle Linux 6.6

    The CREATE DATABASE command creates the control file.

    CREATE DATABASE command is executed once you start the instance in NOMOUNT State as shown below.

    When you create the database manually, we can define the control_files parameter in the init.ora as below and control file will be created at this location. Right?

    control_files = ("" / u01/oradata/BRCPRD/BRCPRD_control01.ctl","/u01/oradata/BRCPRD/BRCPRD_control02.ctl "")

    When I was generating the DB using DBCA GUI creation scripts, it asks to enter the location of the Online redo logs and control files.

    I entered my desired location. But, I couldn't find CONTROL_FILES parameter in the init.ora file generated the DBCA. This is why I got confused. I think that DBCA is internally somehow. So thought I'd post it here.

    Hi John, OP

    Just checked the init.ora file created by DBCA. Although the parameter CONTROL_FILES is undefined, db_create_file_dest = '+ DATA_DG1' was created. OMF default location is defined by the db_create_file_dest parameter.

    So, I could safely use this script for the manual creation of DB, and during the CREATE DATABASE command execution, oracle will place CONTROL_FILES + DATA_DG1 using the format;

    +DiskGroup/dbname/filetype/filetypetag.file.incarnation

  • Add other fields to sql * source file loader without including them in the control file

    Hello

    We have a file that we receive every day to an external resource. We load the file into Oracle using Sql tables * Loader!

    My question is, if external resources added more fields at the end of the file and I USED to change the control file to load (almost there will be right there without any use!)

    Will I get an error SQL * loader?

    or else, it will be fine!

    Thank you

    /HESI

    In general, SQL * Loader will simply ignore the extra fields at the end of the line.  However, there are exceptions to all rules.  To do a correct delimiter after the last field you load.  The additional fields must dressed not in the next line, unless you have authorized to do this.  If the end of the characters of the line of the source operating system do not match at the end of the characters in the line of the target operating system, then you need to deal with this in one of the various ways.  These are a few examples.
