When I click on a link of my emails, that it opens automatically by firefox. I want to disable this feature because I would go back to Chrome. I don't want to uninstall Firefox all together, but I don't want it to be my main browser not more.
Thank youThe only way to have such links open is not Firefox is to define a different browser, the default browser.
This MozillaZine Knowledge Base article shows how to set a different browser like IE as default browser.
See the definition of default browser manually:

Original title: problem e mail
I click on the links in the email and get a box that says: "this file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action" and the link cannot be opened.
Suggestions;
1. make sure that your e-mail program is your default program.
2. make sure that your Internet Explorer, or your main browser has all its faults.
You can do both of the above by following these steps...
Start button > right column, click default programs > click Set Your Default programs...
1. click on your e-mail program > it doesn't say "this program has all its defaults"?
If not, click on choose by default for this program > check all boxes below the list > click on save when finished.2 do the same as above for your Internet Explorer, or your main browser.

I am the system administrator and I have no idea what is the cause. What is a windows problem or a problem of office?
Bruce,
See my post on 1 December. None of those links gave me an answer that worked. I found a Geek forum that works. I now can have all three browsers installed IE9, GoggleChrome and Firefox. I like the last two because IE9 periodially breaks down and the others did not. In addition, Chrome is faster for some things like the control off site to purchase.

Cannot find where to look for help on Outlook Express (OE 6). ??? A lot of emails suddenly disappeared from my file of SENT MESSAGES, and I need them.
Help of OE is at: XP Networking & Online , but I can help.
http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/windows_xp-networking?page=1&tab=allView | Current view. Show all Messages is verified? If this is the case, then you have to do.Two reasons the most common for what you describe is disruption of the compacting process, (never touch anything until it's finished), or bloated folders. More about that below. Why OE insists on compacting folders when I close it? :
http://www.insideoe.com/FAQs/why.htm#compact
Why mail disappears:
http://www.insideoe.com/problems/bugs.htm#mailgoneRecovery methods:If you are running XP/SP3, then you should have a backup of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin (or possibly the message store), copied as bak files. To restore a folder bak on the message store folder, first find the location of the message store.Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.In Windows XP, the .dbx files are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in the Solution Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder options | View.Close OE and in Windows Explorer, click on the dbx to the file missing or empty file, then drag it to the desktop. It can be deleted later once you have successfully restored the bak file. Minimize the message store.Open OE and, if the folder is missing, create a folder with the * exact * same name as the bak file you want to restore but without the .bak. For example: If the file is Saved.bak, the new folder should be named saved. Open the new folder, and then close OE. If the folder is there, but just empty, continue to the next step.First of all, check if there is a bak file already in the message. If there is, and you have removed the dbx file, go ahead and rename it in dbx.If it is not already in the message, open the trash and do a right-click on the file bak for the folder in question and click on restore. Open the message store up and replace the .bak by .dbx file extension. Close the message store and open OE. Messages must be in the folder. If messages are restored successfully, you can go ahead and delete the old dbx file that you moved to the desktop.
If you have not then bak copies of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin:DBXpress run in extract disc Mode is the best chance to recover messages:
http://www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/default.aspxAnd see:
http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#4A general warning to help avoid this in the future:Do not archive mail in default OE folders. They finally are damaged. Create your own folders defined by the user for mail storage and move your mail to them. Empty the deleted items folder regularly. Keep user created folders under 300 MB, and also empty as is possible to default folders.Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

original title: the Emails given erroneous instructions
As I said in my first answer, click file | Identities and establish a new identity. See if that solves the problem, which will remove any possible corruption of the registry for OE. In addition, antivirus and antispam programs do not work well with OE, so they could contribute, depending on what you are using. See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3

Outlook Express does not accept attachments or links in e-mail messages sent from Outlook!
I am trying to solve this problem for my mom, that's NOT it at all, and she lives in another State!
I use Outlook (had Office 2007 on XP but now set to level to 2010 on Win7). My mother uses Outlook Express with Vista.
Whenever I have send his spare part, she can't open them. They are all photos. She said: "there is no where to click." When I've been there and have been able to test this, she's right: there is not a paper clip (i.e., no attachment). She also told me that he "didn't there no place to click" on the links that I send, also. Oddly, this happens with another person that I send to, which (by chance) Outlook Express also used. I never hear of someone else. I think there are some setting on their ends, but I was not able to understand. There is nothing click on slot the Internet Option settings to allow attachments (he said something about it in the option, but it is not a clickable area next).
Anyone know what could be the problem? Thank you very much for your help.
You must attach the images to an e-mail message in plain textformat. Outlook Express and quite a few other email clients, do not include Outlook to RTF (Rich Text Format) and will never see the attachment. Bruce Hagen
