Impossible to debug with 9000 device

Hi, I develop a little app that I debug in the Simulator and now I wan't to test on a real device.

I have connected my BB Bold 9000 to the Pc via the USB cable and selected "join" in the JDE.

Currently, I get lots of messages like "cannot find NET_RIM_APPMANAGER. DEBUG ".

If I navigate to the directory of Simulator and select this file, then I0ve has received the message "(debugging information Bad C:\program files... \net_rim_appmanager.debug(4873cc83)-net_rim_appmanager (48c06f7e).

I think the problem is a version mismatch, I downloaded the last Simulator ("version 4.6.0.92 (9000 Telefónica)"), but if I look in my camera in options-> it reads: "Blackberry 9000 (3G, Wi - Fi) V4.6.0.147 (Platform 4.0.0.144)".

So, how can I get the files of debugging for the version V4.6.0.147 or how can I downgrade my V4.6.0.92 device?

THX in advance for your help

Concerning

Alejandro

Well, everything is now resolved.

I found this post explaining that, sometimes, the JDE errors the need for signatures of a code particularly (in may cases, says JDE he needed RBB, but also RRT.) Thus, the .csl file editing and adding 52525400 = RIM API execution it compiles and runs correctly.

So now that the code is executed, I can debug, even with the missing .debug files.

Thx for your help, and I hope this can help someone else...

You must launch the application manually on the device. I don't know why the breakpoints are not recognized. Try to delete the app, reboot the device, the app package, sing, load (debug as)... you can tell that the debugger is attached with success by the lines displayed in the Console view.

  • Problems with 9000 device establishing a socket connection?

Edit again: still a problem, see Update 2 to end...

My app works fine on 4.3 & 4.5, device and Simulator. Also works very well in the 4.6 Simulator. However, on the bold new we just acquired today, I can't do the blackberry establish a socket connection. As far as I can tell a call to Connector.open which has the form:

    String connUrl = "socket://:;deviceside=true";StreamConnection sc = (StreamConnection) Connector.open(connUrl);

.. will never return! I set breakpoints after him in the file and I get nothing. There is no sign of a connection through to the other end. I put a breakpoint on the line with Connector.open so I know is to be worn, but if I click on 'no more' control is never returned to the jde debugger.

I realize in Application 4.6 permissions have been moved around, but I've set manually the application has permission to connect to the internet. I tried to connect to a server, I know that the blackberry can access (e.g. www.google.com), I expect this to cause then an exception more than my application is obviously not HTTP... but nothing! No indication the Connector.open never call does not return. No exception seems also to be thrown, ControlledAccessException or other... can someone guess what might be happening here? It seems that it is a fundamental thing to do, I don't see what could have changed. My thread Manager program is still running behind all that (I see his messages to regular use of ram) isn't as all users of the application are overwritten or anything.

My request is signed, I checked several times. I can also access the internet as usual from the blackberry browser. It is also interesting to note that, on the debugger to connect to the device, told me debugging information are missing about two - net_rim_cldc and net_rim_os modules if I remember correctly. Then, he said because of this "many debugging features will not work properly", but as far as I can see, willing or not, debug this connection is simply not be established, and yet no exception or anything is up. The above code is surrounded by try/catch that will catch java.io.IOExceptions and ControlledAccessExceptions, among others, but none of this code is already hit. And surely if it was some type of more exotic exception that I have no intention, I would like to at least get a popup on the screen tell me about an uncaught exception?

    Help would be greatly appreciated!

UPDATE: standard Version, as soon as I had finished my half hour trying to get this thing to work and then wrote a post about the epic forum, he begins to work. Perfectly as I can tell. I guess it could have been a little temporary bad service from my supplier... Oh well anyway we are all good now...

UPDATE 2: it appears when wifi connections aren't a problem, but if I turn off wifi problem remains. Any ideas?

How long did you wait for an exception?  It must expire after 2 minutes if it is unable to connect.  Which way you make the connection?  You use the deviceside parameter?

The BlackBerry has been activated on a BlackBerry Enterprise Server?  You have completed the information under Options, Advanced Options, TCP APN?  The BlackBerry shows 3G on the home screen (capital G)?

  • Impossible to debug - conflicts at the level of the API - a newer than IDE device - bad joke?

    Hello

I am new to this forum and Blackberry, but I develop applications for iOS and Android.

Unfortunately I'm not able to debug anything, it seems that the IDE is obsolete - or abandoned or...?

    Message from that connection is:
The API level 10.3.1--> Runtime Version 10.3.2 project

"Cannot find the corresponding debug symbols", after clicking on "install...". "nothing happens.

Enter in the update box (API level) and pressing get more, no new items were found.

So, how can it be, that there are versions, which are not covered by the IDE development? On other manufacturers, it's the other way around, you will be able to test in advance, and here I have to wait until I could test the devices already sold?

That must have been a bad joke, but maybe I'm not smart enough to find the right button.

Or did I used the wrong environment and development via Momentics is no longer supported or interrupted?

If someone managed to use the IDE and be able to debug on 10.3.2 Please give me a hint.

    Thank you.

  • Live debugging on 9000 "BOLD"

    Hello

I hit a problem which requires me to debug on my device rather than on the Simulator. Yes, I know that there are countless articles in the knowledge base and the Forum on this topic. But it's still not clear where to procure the necessary tool chain and charges device. I know where simulators are downloaded from and I know where the tools are downloaded since in general. But, having looked I do not see a game that will work for me.

    The current environment is:

-the Eclipse tool with net.rim.eide.componentpack4.6.0_4.6.0.19 chain

-peripheral is "BOLD" 9000 running v4.6.0.282

I know that my current environment does not work for me. What I don't know, is what's going or how to get it? I'm ready to upgrade, downgrade, grade aside, you ever need. What I am hoping to avoid wasting more than countless hours trying to find some clues that might help.

If anyone can provide accurate information to obtain the necessary tools and the charges for debugging on a Bold 9000, I would be very grateful.

    Thanks in advance.

I like Simon, the device debugging is blind.  The big problem for me is string, unless you have corresponding to debug files and OS devices, you can not see what is in one of the objects.  Primitive are OK.

To put it this way, if I was using JDE 4.2.1 and I plugged my 4.6 9000 "BOLD", I would be able to set break points, but I wouldn't be able to see the content of the strings in each of the objects I.

But I can close my JDE 4.6 and connect to the same 9000 "BOLD" and see the content of strings, because the level of the OS on the device and in the simulator of the JDE uses match.

So try to find a simulator that has the same level of OS as your device, install and use, and you should be able to see all the objects.  At least that's what I try to do.

But I have not tried to find a full proof way to ensure that this happens, I just phutz round until it works, after being assured that I sank my runes, salt thrown over my left shoulder, spun round three times (clockwise) and walk under a ladder back after a black cat.

  • Error blackBerry software - synchronization failed, impossible to deal with organizing data

I had a Q10 Blackberry last week.  I downloaded and installed the PC of Blackberry link 1.2.2.13 version.  Two-way sync USB worked fine.  Now, all of a sudden, I get the error message "synchronization failed, impossible to deal with organizing data."   I tried to reset the synchronization options, but not joy.  Also tried to uninstall and reinstall the software Link 1.2.2.13, once again no joy.  Any suggestions?

UPDATE: I spent 4 hours on the phone and the remote session with the help of Blackberry last night.  After doing some troubleshooting to isolate the problem, determined that something on the device caused the problem of Outlook synchronization. One thing I've learned, it's that it can take a long time to synchronize and even though the progress of the screen may appear frozen, let it go until the end - sometimes it took 20-25 minutes, but eventually completed. Here's the process we went through - I would recommend appellant help BB and work with them to make sure you have not accidentally delete Outlook contacts and calendar of important information of your PC or BB device!.

    (1) we tried an uninstall/reinstall the PC Link BB software and that did not fix the problem.

    (2) to isolate the problem of synchronization.  We first did a synchronization of 2 channels 'contacts' and 'calendar' and who was a failure.  Then did a synchronization of only 2 channels 'contacts' and managed.  Then did a synchronization of only 2-way 'calendar' and that was a failure - so the problem was linked to calendar data and something on the device has been the cause of the problem or corrupted.

    (3) link BB allowing us to make a backup complete unit.

    4) then decided to do a 'Wipe security' on the device of BB Q10 to erase all the data and settings and return to a clean boot device configuration.  I was nervous about it - make double sure that Outlook all contacts and calendar data on the device and the PC are completely backed up in case something bad happens.  Nothing serious happened, but I was gald, we made the backup!

    (5) has the 'Security Wipe' feature (on the device, the settings > Security and privacy > wipe security) and phone rebooted without problems (takes a while to do).

    (6) then used link BB to do a sync test 1 channel 'contacts and calendar' from PC to device.  It worked without problem.

    (7) we then used BB link do a "restore" full backup of device, as we did in step 3 above.  It takes a while to make and was a success.

    (8) once the restoration of the aircraft was complete, BB link configured to perform a synchronization of 2 channels of the two 'contacts' and 'calendar '.  Does the synchronization and was a success.  Did a test by adding the new entry of the calendar on PC and did another 2-way sync - all worked very well.  Seems that the problem has been corrected, but will follow in the coming days.

    Lessons learned:

    (1) If you have a lot of Outlook contacts and calendar entries, the synchronization may take a long time.  Be patient and let it run - even if it seems stuck, etc!

    (2) save all Outlook data on the device and the PC to make sure that you have a backup something bad happened during troubleshooting.  We had not something bad happens, but I was gald we made a backup anyway.

    (2) call BB help - support person, I worked with was fabulous, even if it took some time to work through a patch.

    Hello

The error - an unexpected i/o error has occurred, status: (0Xc00000e9) is a material error in the BIOS of your computer.

Basically, it's to tell you that the computer is not able to communicate effectively with the hard drive.

Try the Startup Repair.  Startup Repair is designed to prevent a reinstall tedious to diagnose and repair problems that prevent Windows startup.

  • bat solo3 not shared with other devices to iCloud

I have a set of rhythms solo3, the connection from my iPhone worked as promised but an iPad running iOS10 and my Mac running Sierra do not see them. All devices are signed with the same iCloud account and the beats are accessible to my watch. Is there something missing that I have to do to ensure that they are shared on iCloud?

Bluetooth headset have no relationship with iCloud or appleID to all

to pair a headset bluetooth with a new device, it must put the headset into pairing / discovery mode

the manual of the bluetooth headset must describe how you are going to do

If cannot pair the headset with your iPad or your iMac at the same time there is an active connection with your phone

because it can be connected with 1 device at the time, however, may be a pairing with each of them at the same time

It is a real irritable and I hope that someone can help you. I've had my Macbook Pro for about 4 years now but had never used icloud.  When I decided to start doing so yesterday I went in iCloud in settings and seen something like: "Do not allow for synchronization with other devices" and accidentally ticked.  Everything already worked well without using iCloud, but now nothing can be synchronized with the Macbook.  Is there something I can do?  I see that the boot Volume has been changed yesterday who must account for this.

Questions of clarification - were you when you saw synchronizes them only not in System Preferences/iCloud? If this isn't the case here, where were you? If you go into System Preferences/iCloud can you check the boxes to synchronize?

  • Is there a way to find the IP address associated with a device that is currently using my Apple ID?

Hi, is it possible to find the IP address associated with a device that is currently using my Apple ID? There is a device currently using my Apple ID, and I would like to know its IP address. When I connect to appleid.com, the device is listed. The device is an iPhone. It is an emergency situation. Thank you.

Unless it's on your local network, the IP address won't be useful to you in any way. (and no, you can do that)

If this is really an "emergency", inform the authorities.

I can connect to wifi everywhere, but at my house from Beach-Iphone 5 s - is not the wifi because I am about this with other devices

General suggestions for Wi - Fi problems, maybe one of them will help you... especially #4.

    (1) perform a forced reboot: hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously for about 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Leave the device to reboot.

    (2) resetting the network settings: settings > general > reset > reset network settings. Join the network again.

    (3) change of Google DNS: settings > Wi - Fi > click the network, delete all the numbers under DNS and enter 8.8.8.8 or otherwise 8.8.4.4

    (4) reboot router/Modem: unplug power for 2 minutes and reconnect. Update the Firmware on the router (support Web site of the manufacturer for a new FW check). Also try different bands (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) and different bandwidths (recommended for 2.4 to 20 MHz bandwidth).

    (5) disable the prioritization of device on the router if this feature is available.

    (6) determine if other wireless network devices work well (other iOS devices, Mac, PC).

    (7) try the device on another network, i.e., neighbors, the public coffee house, etc.

    (8) to restore the device (ask for more details if you wish).

    (9) go to the Apple Store for the evaluation of the material.
