Impossible to develop for Android?

Then, I got an Android phone yesterday, so I'm like ' Oh cool, I can lose its Air-Android with unwanted time now.» After watching a few tuts installation, then I have to go find the name extension and he's not here, he said that it will be deployed to the latest version of flash. (Flash CS5.5 I guess.) So I went to go get the trial of Flsah CS5.5, and he's not here.

So wtf? Can't do dev on Android at the moment because it's simply impossible? I think that if I dig around a bunch that I found the old extention on some site buried, but what I want? Or should I just wait for CS5.5? (When that comes out also?) Like, if I would find it I wasting my time because the CS5.5 we'll all be different and I have to relearn?

Your thoughts?

This thread can answer your questions more in detail, even if you can't be happy with the answers:

  • Creation of the folios for Android

    Dear Adobe community,

    before this started, I get:

    • I'm using InDesign CS6 Digital Publishing Suite,
    • running on a Professional subscription
    • and I'm not a native speaker. So please take pity with me ;-)

Some time ago, I created ten folios through an application multi-folio with in-app purchases for the Apple iStore, ran into some issues (which have been resolved by Bob Bringhurst, thank you once again) and now I want to develop for Android. The creation itself was easy, that slips are already online, but do not without falling on key issues.

    To define my problem:

    • The splash screen does not. Only, it takes as much space as possible and grows around a third of the screen. Is there a "fit screen" - box, I missed?
    • The graphics look "rough", naked pixels in a sort of 8-bit-look without the edges soft (or feathers), even if they are PDF. I can't convert them to JPEG format, because I use the same folios as I do for Apple.
    • The effects of the erasure of all overlays are also rough. Slide shows, for example, are punching through their content, without letting that images fade out in the next. Maybe it's important to mention: they were created through the slide show option in the Folio Overlay-menu. The same problem occurs with all the contents that appear and disappear. For example: If you activate a card with a button (i.e. telling the app, to pass the object to the empty state 1 in filled State 2), the application takes one second and the map appears hard, smashing into the window from one moment to another, without the bland smooth as it does on Apple products.
    • And after some time, a minute or two, the application crashes, leaving the customer blocked for a moment, before him eject to the main screen of his camera.

So far, this is my problem. Honestly, I feel that I missed a few easy step, but necessary for the expansion of Android. Now, the look of folios as some pre-pre-alpha release an Android (with dull graphics and blocks every 60 seconds), while they work fine and smooth on Apple.

I would be grateful for any advice.

  • AT300 - need driver USB to develop an application for Android

    Hello

    I'm a new Tablet AT300.
I'm developing an application for Android in Eclipse.

I want to debug on it but I need a usb driver as explained here:
    http://developer.Android.com/tools/Extras/OEM-USB.html

But I found Toshiba on other tablets like the Archos, I use to download on their website.
Could you tell me where I can find the driver.

    Kind regards

    VPM

If you are making reference to the use of 'Android Debigging Mode' that light, then using the standard driver of Google in the Android SDK should work.

But with that you need to add the device ID in the INF for her.

  • Why not develop cela (or any software of drawing) for android?

Ferrari (Adobe draw, for example) on Highway riddled with potholes, cracked, eroded (ipad with capacitive interface and stylus eraser size) = disaster.

    However:

Ferrari (Adobe draw, for example) on freshly paved Highway (Galaxy notes with scanned fine tip pen) = exhilarating experience.

This basic idea is so hard to understand?  Make you great illustration programs.  Why you would develop them for a platform that could run them?  Why we pretend that relying on an ipad is a state-of-the-art slick experience?  It sucks!  It's 2015 - should we not we have the best choices that go over 2 grand for a decent digital drawing experience?

    Sean,

Not sure if you saw this blog post of April where we announced to come for some of our mobile applications on Android. Since this blog, we have published CC color, shape CC, CC of the brush and Photoshop Mix for Android. We are also currently working on an Android version of the draw by lot and if you want to help us beta test, please join the community app Android Adobe here.

    Thank you

I developed an Android application for a Digital Magazine with Digital Publishing Suite (Professional).

Several weeks ago, I received this message from Google game: "we wanted to let you know that your app (s) listed below statically link against a version of OpenSSL that has several vulnerabilities for users. Please migrate your app (s) to a new version of OpenSSL within 60 days of this notification. From 07/07/15, game Google will block the release of new applications and updates that use versions older, not supported by OpenSSL (see below for more details). »

I've updated the Android App using function Web app Designer, but they keep sending me this message. I don't understand what I have to do.

    Hi Sheila,

If you connect to your Google game account, it will show you who sent you the warning to the apps. The generator on the web app produces Android apps which are not affected by this vulnerability.

  • Develop apps for Android & iOS with Flash Pro CS6?

I just want to begin creating apps and games for Android.

1 is able to build an app or a game with Flash Pro CS6 and publish it on Android phone? also even with iOS?

    2. What is different in the developing applications with Flash Pro and Flash Builder?

    Thank you

    1 Yes and Yes.

2 flash pro is more suited to the animators (and so game designers), while flash builder is more appropriate for developers (coders): http://forums.adobe.com/thread/791165

I see that beta support has been added for Android TV in one of the beta versions of AIR 20. Read this discussion:

AIR 20.0.0.230 iOS install questions and support Android TV has stopped working

It seems that you would have used equip 185 and not the final version. Or you can try an AIR 21, or 22 AIR beta version.

  • Impossible to get an overview of Office for Android

    Hello!

I just read on your Android application?

One of our tent of Folio Builder users to view a portfolio of its Nexus.  We had to work, but since the evolution to a new pc, we do not get the option to visualize the Folio on the Nexus, only on the desktop.

We still say it is not possible to display on an android, but we had to work.

Have you encountered the problem of the Folio without recognizing that the Tablet is connected?

I don't know that I remember to add text in a file to origianlly make it work, but now I am unable to find the information again.

We would be grateful for any help!

Branched out in a new discussion, it was originally a response to a message that is unrelated.

We no longer support the preview for Android devices from the desktop. It has not been supported for almost two years.

  • Why you don't develop for windows 8.1 phone yet?

I've heard many good things about Microsoft open up their platforms for developers. Literally, I used Firefox, Firefox sync and enjoy Firefox as my default browser. I saw a few posts saying Mozilla isn't trying to develop for Windows Phone and I wonder why. I know that there is a demand for it. She dominate the market Windows Phone for sure. I really want to see it coming to the platform if someone can explain why it isn't? What restrictions are still in front as appropriate?

Mozilla already has his hands full with Firefox for Windows, Mac OSX, Linux, Android 2.2 +, and the Firefox OS.

Mozilla has done experimental versions (Minimo) for Windows mobile years before working on Android.

  • Any version of Thunderbird for Android?

If it is not currently a version of Thunderbird for Android, are there plans for one? (Soon, I hope.) (Please!) Just checking.

The mobile Firefox is available for Android for Firefox 4.0 but it is there not had any development of an Android version since. With the much more limited development of Thunderbird and emissions compared to Firefox, there is little chance of any mobile version of Thunderbird in the near future.
