Impossible to enter my password to open Windows

My Acer 3400 (with Win 7 (64-bit) and Office 2000) has developed a number of small problems in recent weeks, sometimes opening pages in reduced format, hang up when I try to save the pages, etc.  I removed Office 2000, with the intention to reinstall, and things are only worsened.  The password page appears now, but my Microsoft wireless keyboard or an ACER USB keyboard can be used to enter the master password.  I recently installed the software to an external hard drive WD My Passport and have saved the drive internal, but I hope I don't have to reformat and depend on the backup.

Thanks, COLIENNE, for your quick response.  I was able to use safe mode to achieve the restoration of the system, which I had tried before, dating back to several days.  I tried again to return to the last entry (after I removed Office 2000).  Let me come back to the office, and I was able to remove Office 2000 more completely this time, without apparent side effects.  I have been unable to reload the office, my drive OEM who served me well since 2000, on multiple computers, so you install LibreOffice instead.  I have not seen the disconnection problem since then, but as it was intermittent, it may or may not have disappeared.

I printed your response, which can be useful in the future.

Best regards

Ralpher

    From the Office:

Press the Windows key + R
    Type netplwiz and press enter
Remove the check mark from "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer"

I'm still going for you recommend to not remove this option for obvious reasons, but the above, you should get what you want.

  • Impossible to enter the password at startup

    Original title: STARTUP PROBLEM

Since the recent updates, Windows 8.1, I have to go through REBOOT whenever I start. I turn on the computer and start page appears, but the PASSWORD box is dead. I have to use the power button / stop to select RESTART and 5 minutes later EMI back to the start screen, this time, the PASSWORD box is active. Any suggestions much appreciated.

    Hi Hoearly,

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Community Forum.

Rest assured that we would do our best to help you.

This problem may occur if any third-party application takes time to load at startup.

I suggest to follow the methods below and check if this solves the problem.

    Method 1

Disconnect all external devices (printers, scanner, USB (universal serial bus) drives, etc...) Except the keyboard and mouse and then start.

If this solves the problem, then add back devices at a time until you discover the piece of hardware causing the issue. Then download drivers software updated for this particular device.

    Method 2: Safe mode

I suggest to start the computer using safe mode and check if the problem occurs or not. At the start of the computer Mode safe with the minimum set of drivers and files.

Refer to section of boot mode safe.

Start settings for Windows (including safe mode)

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/Windows-startup-settings-safe-mode

If the issue happen not in Mode without failure, perform a clean boot and check.

    Method 3: Clean boot

Put your system to the clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. You must follow the steps in the article mentioned below to perform a clean boot.

How to perform a clean boot in Windows
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135/en-us

Note: After the clean boot troubleshooting steps, see the "How to reset the computer to start as usual after a clean boot troubleshooting" section in the link provided to return the computer to a Normal startup mode.

Hope this will solve the problem, if not let us know with the updated status and we will be happy to help you further.

  • With a password to open document - is possible not to ask only once per session?

Here is my scenario: user reads a "password to open" document that contains links to other web pages, etc.  The user clicks on a link, go to the new page, and then uses the back button/back key to return to the password protected document, where they must enter the password to open again and do every time they click on a link and then later attempt to return to the document.

Is there a way to bypass the retype repeated / home / re-enter the password?  (I think not, but I'll ask anyway).  The user did enter his password, most of the time just a minute or two earlier, before they clicked on the link in the document password protected.

P.S. I have a few other questions, (by-products) indirectly related to this general theme.  I'll post those in their appropriate forum, then edit this post with links to these posts.  FYI, the other positions are / will be:

    • Is there a better way to manually adjust each link in a document to use javascript and repeat process whenever the document is updated, to make the links to open in a new window (when you see a pdf in a browser window).  [Edit: here is the link: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5055202#5055202 ]
    • Is it possible to an html page or an element in a PDF document (at the discretion of the author of the document) to open a pdf file in the acrobat reader window instead of in the browser, without asking each user to change their player settings?  [Edit: I ended up asking that question in the same post listed above]

Once the instance of Acrobat or Reader that contains a PDF file protected by password has been closed, you can avoid having to retype the password. If the links do not target a window or a new tab, then the browser will unload the plugin - and apart from all of the link targets change, you cannot prevent this.

    Hello

When you have the form open in the LC Designer, go to file / form properties...

The PDF Security tab allows you to check to force the user to enter a password to open the form. If you tick this then the next time that you save the file, you will be asked to set the password. When users try to open the form in Acrobat, they must enter the password.

Note the second option sets a password to open the form in the designer of the LC. If you do not set this password, so a user can bypass your password by opening the form in LC, deselect the required password and disabling passwords. Have a read of the help file for more information.

    Good luck

  • A window opens all the minutes titled 'Enter Network Password',

    Original title: help please!

I am running Windows XP.  My problem is the following:-a window opens all few minutes entitled "Enter network password", it may be either of my current ISP or the previous one which I did not have long.  In this case no matter what I do on the computer.  Can someone help me get rid of this?

If you no longer use a modem, you can safely remove all access to remote connections. Proceed as before you make the Connections tab and remove all connections by modem listed. I hope your problem will disappear. I can't explain why with "never dial" selected, you still get those dialups. Maybe you have some malicious software trying to get an internet connection in this way?

Do a full with your normal AV and then scan also with scanners to demand free MBAM and SAS. You can always delete them after scanning if you wish.

    Hello

    WIN + R > write netplwiz > ENTER

Turn off the prompt for password > apply...

This opens a window in which you enter the user name and password > register and then restarting should work without entering a password.
