    Hello rocksnag, welcome.

If you click START then type C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe' (without the quotes) and press on enter, what happens?
If it says its lack, try this:

    1. download a copy of rundll32.exe from this location: http://sites.google.com/site/pwdionline/Home/rundll32.zip
    * This version works with Vista 32 bit to get references
2 extract the file to your desktop, right click and select 'copy '.
    3. click on START
    4. click on 'computer '.
    5. double-click on "disk Local (c)"

  • ICAN can't uninstall Justcloud. I tried Control Panel, add/remove, but he did not remove it. What can I do?

Very well... I downloaded Justcloud but failed to read the terms and policies. I want either, so I tried to uninstall it by going into the control panel and clicking Add/Remove, but Justcloud would not uninstall. I'm a novice at this and I don't really know what to do to get this from my computer. It's the first day of a 14-day free-trial which Justcloud offered. I really need this uninstalled before the end of this trial period because I do not share the terms and policy and I will not be forced.

    Hi Shawn,

System Restore can return programs and system files from your PC to a time when everything was working well. This will not affect your documents, images or other data.

Do a System Restore to an earlier date and check if it works.

  • Impossible to uninstall some software via Add/Remove programs

    Hello

I use VISTA. I installed Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended 9 a month back and today I got to know that the software in parted so I want to UNINSTALL it.

When you try to uninstall there is no option available for this uninstall and many other software FREEWARE or ACCREDITED.

I am the only user on my laptop and have administrator rights.

    Any help, please.

Try using Revo http://www.snapfiles.com/reviews/revo-uninstaller/revouninstaller.html to uninstall the programs.  It often works when uninstallation of Vista does not work.

Cleaning of Revo Uninstaller and uninstall utility

    Our side: (very good)

Revo Uninstaller is an uninstall utility that includes additional cleaning of system tools. It provides an alternative interface to the Windows Add/Remove Software dialog box that offers web search options, access to registry keys and some additional commands. The program also includes a Manager start to inspect and disable programs that start automatically as well as a filter to eliminate the traces of the Internet, a secure removal tool and an option to search for and remove files, folders, and registry keys that have been left during uninstall of privacy. Revo Uninstaller comes with a unique "Hunter Mode" that allows you to uninstall a program, search for more information on the web, or perform other actions by simply dragging a target on the program icon or a shortcut on your desktop.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Install software (games, etc.) doesn't show is not in the Add/Remove Programs Control Panel. Vista Home Basic, 32-bit.

Vista Home Basic, 32-bit. Install software (games, etc.) does not not in Control Panel Add/Remove programs or CCleaner RevoUninstaller. They use all to. I don't know what has changed. Nothing new has been installed. How can I remove the software I want to uninstall? Thanks for your help.

    Hi il898,

This can also occur if the installation files are broken or missing for the program which may be reason for the program does not appear in uninstall a program from the list.

I suggest that you run the program to install the program again and check if you get an option to uninstall the program and try to uninstall the program.
If it still does not uninstall the program, and then try to reinstall the program and uninstall afterwards.

    I hope this helps!

Hi, sorry for the delay to come to you, have been disarmed with man flu

? How I would try to uninstall using "Safe Mode"?

Have not tried to link http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/400/kb400769.html because not all sure as to what / where should potential remifications and me if I were to fault upward in some way (me, strongly the technophobe)

Thank you for your efforts for sat down in this regard.

    concerning John S

You get in Mode safe mode by repeatedly pressing the F8 key as the computer starts up.  On the Advanced Boot Options menu that appears, navigate by using the up/down arrows to select Mode safe mode, and then press ENTER.  Given what you have said, however, I doubt that using Safe Mode will help you.

Adobe warns against having multiple versions of Acrobat or Acrobat Reader is installed, and suggests that uninstall a previous version AFTER installing a later version might cause problems, requiring the latest version to be re-installed.

That said, Adobe seems often leave pieces of his great software on your system after uninstall.  Although 86.6 mb seems bigger than I expect, it sounds as smaller than a full installation of the Adobe Reader software.

Did you actually two entries in Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs, one for Adobe Reader 8.1.6 and one for Adobe Reader 9.1.4?  Or you just a directory C:\Program Adobe 8.0 with 86.6 MB of files it contains?

    Two suggestions:

If you have two entries in Add / Remove Programs, rename C:\Program Adobe 8.0 as C:\Program Files\Adobe\OldReaderFiles.  Then wait a week or two; Use Adobe Reader as usual; and if no problems, just delete the whole directory.  If you are really paranoid, burn the directory on a CD before deleting.

Alternatively, if you have two entries in Add / Remove Programs, use the free Revo Uninstaller or Windows Installer Cleanup utility.  Microsoft itself is supplying the Installer Cleanup Utility, saying that, in some cases, it removed more than it was supposed to.  Yet, it can be a useful tool; to be sure, you must back up your system first.  If you can't remember where you saw it, you can download the Installer Cleanup toolhere.

Alternatively, you can use Revo Uninstaller .

According to uninstall it you use the cleanup tool, no doubt would it be a good idea first to download the latest version of Adobe Reader (9.4.1) (unless you still have the installation program on your computer) and uninstall your current working version of the player before you try to uninstall the old version.  When the Installer Cleanup Utility or Revo Uninstaller is finished, reinstall Adobe Reader 9.4.1.

  • Add/Remove programs

Add/Remove programs will not remove some programs, so, how can I remove them safetly?

Most of the programs of Apple Inc. will not update, because of the old software cannot be removed.

Quote: An older version of Apple Software Update Guy can be deleted. And the same is true with Hello and several other Apple programs. I just bought an i - Pod Touch 32 GB 4th generation and want to use al fetures that come with it have iTunes can offer.

Question number two; my computer was built by my nephew, who has done a great job, and I have a valid copy that Windos XP Pro 64-bit Edition installed on the computer, the problem is that it does not provide me the dics that he used to install all programs for Windows XP Pro 64-bit Edition. Is there a way I can get a copy? And yes I already ask my nephew and he's more about them. I want to srcub the hard disk and then reinstall! So every thing can work as new, as this should also take care of question number 1. There are other programs that I can not delete by using Add or remove programs.

    For your iTunes problem...

This message occurs when the registry key pointing to iTunes uninstaller is corrupted (or uninstall of iTunes has been moved or deleted).  The simplest thing to do is just clean things, and then try again.

Used to have a tool just to do this, called the Windows Installer Microsoft Cleanup utility.  Apparently, however, when this tool has been used (I think with MS Office), removes sometimes more he was supposed to, and that's why Microsoft has removed the tool of its download servers.

The Windows Installer Cleanup utility is always available from http://majorgeeks.com/Windows_Installer_CleanUp_Utility_d4459.html , or you can use the free Revo Uninstaller.  Before using or the other of these tools, create a restore point from the system, backup the registry with C:\WINDOWS\ERUNT, or (if you can afford) creates a full disk image or a clone - just in case.

Here are the usual directions to perform a "clean installation" of iTunes, based on Support of Apple HT1926 article.

Go to control panel > Add/Remove programs
    Remove these applications:
    1 Apple Software Update
    2. Apple Mobile Device Support
    3 Hello
4 iPod for Windows (this may or may not exist, be it, it is not necessary, then we can remove it)
    5 iTunes
    6 QuickTime

Open my computer > C: > Program Files
    Delete this files (if present)
    1 iPod
    2 iTunes
    3 QuickTime

    Empty your temp directory:
Open my computer > C: > Documents & Settings > username > Local Settings and delete the contents of the folder called "Temp".

If you don't see the local settings, enable hidden files:
Tools > Folder Options > view tab
Select Show Hidden Files & folder, and then click OK

Once this file is empty, restart the computer

[See note above regarding cleanup utility]
Download & install the Windows Installer Cleanup utility:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/290301/
Launch the utility: start > programs > Windows Installer Clean Up
Select one of the applications mentioned above and click on remove

    Restart the computer
Download & reinstall iTunes from here: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

You will need to buy another copy of XP 64 if that's what you want.  Because Microsoft stopped selling Windows XP quite while ago - and XP 64 was never that popular anyway - it may be difficult to find and expensive.  Here is one (last one left) on Amazon for $90: http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Windows-System-Builders-Version/dp/B000JTBX08/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1322966638&sr=8-2

  • Why did Adobe Flash Player 10 Activex appear twice in Add/Remove programs?

I tried this request in an Adobe forum but got no answer. I use Windows XP SP3. When I go into Control Panel Add / Remove Programs, I see that Adobe Flash Player 10 Activex appears twice. Same name and both show the last time that I acceded to them was 14/08/2010. The second one is slightly different because it shoes 2.42 MB in size. Why the duplication? Can I delete one? Besides, if it has not been used since August of last year, do I need at all?

Information on "Last use" and "size" in Add/Remove programs are notoriously inaccurate.

Each of the Adobe Flash Player uninstaller from Add/Remove Programs entries.

Open Windows Explorer and go to C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash

The current Flash ActiveX control is Flash10s.ocx.  There are several other auxiliary files as well.  If there are any files with the previous letters after 10 (e.g., Flash10p.ocx), delete them.

Go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ to download the current version.
