dv6968ca - installed Win7, missing drivers for 2 "Base system devices.
I run Windows 7 upgrade advisor with no problems noted.
Install Windows 7 Pro (required a clean installation rather than an upgrade).
When I look in Device Manager, there are two elements by symbols. Both are called "Base system device". The only identification information I can find are the location: 9 PCI bus, device 9, function 2 and the second is bus PCI 9, device 9, function 2. It is said that the drivers are not installed (Code 28)
I tried to update the driver, but nothing was found. What devices are and how can I solve this problem?

For SP 2100 base system device driver
I do a bit of volunteer work at a local school and a teacher uses a Toshiba Satellite Pro 2100. There is an entry in for a 'Base system device' Device Manager, but it doesn't have a driver installed. I have no idea what this is referring to and if I remove and refresh it simply returns to the list that is unable to find a suitable driver.
I don't have the drivers disk for the laptop than the previous company that they paid because IT supports he did not leave when their contract expired, although he belonged to the school.
Can someone tell me what device it refers to and what driver I need to download? Thank you. I noticed this problem while difficulties to get a pcmcia wireless card works on the system, it does not appear to be a problem, but I don't like the idea of a device without driver.
Hello
Go to http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com then download driver! There are all the drivers and tools for the SP2100 available!
Verify that the drivers are still installed and download the missing!
You can order a new CD tools & utilities (contains drivers) each partner Service Toshiba!

W520 - Base system device driver does not
Greetings.
This morning at the start of my ThinkPad W520, the player no longer works. A glance in the (Windows 7, 64-bit) Device Manager shows the 'Base system device' and points out that "the drivers for this device are not installed." Trying to get Windows Installer natively drivers does not work. Some googling shows others with similar problems in the past; recommendations include installing a card reader driver Ricoh for Windows XP or Vista; It did not work. Other drivers available include 8ass82ww.exe and 8axv51ww.exe - these don't work. Installation of the own Support Center Lenovo software shows that the Base system device driver is not installed. I can't find a way to install it. I tried installing driver exe files and searching the same files using the browse-for-the window Windows files during the installation of the drivers for the Base system device.
Seriously, * beep *? I lost more than two hours on Sunday morning trying to solve this problem. It worked yesterday. I did install new software crazy, or any software besides. Why this happens and more importantly, how can I FIX it?
This morning, ran Windows automatic update; I don't know if the updates were designed to the card reader, but the driver is now installed and the operation of the device. Too many updates to list them all, but thank you all for your help. Between the time I opened this thread and now probably I rebooted my machine 30 times and tried all combinations of drivers + restart. Then, poof, this morning, it is fixed.

base system device and a HP ev2210 1xEV-DO Broadband Wireless Module as well. Missing driver
Your search: I have a laptop Pavilion dv2500tw CTO. I have upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 Home premium. Now it shows 2 missing base system devices and a HP ev2210 1xEV-DO Broadband Wireless Module as well. Help
Note: Mistakly I delete the partition system (Win Vista) when I clean install win 7 32-bit home pre.
Hello:
You need this driver for the base system device.
You can try the Vista driver for the card broad band. There are no Windows 7 drivers for it.
If the Vista driver does not work, you can see if this driver windows 7 works. I don't know whether the pilot includes your model too or if it's just for the 2400. This driver appears on the history tab of revision for the HP ev2210.

Missing/unknown 'Base system device' is the Ricoh 5-in-1 card reader. You can try to use the Windows Vista Driver Ricoh 5-in-1 Card Reader of your computer driver page. Alternatively, you can try to use this Ricoh Media Card Reader Driver for Windows XP, Vista and 7. Finally, Windows update may be able to automatically locate a driver for the 'Base system device '.

Hello, gentlemen:
I've been looking on this issue and the problem you are experiencing, it is that the driver files do not contain the & Subsys secondary ID for the card reader (2393197B).
This is why the driver is not installed.
I did a search of the forum and another person who had ID.
David has provided the driver and the person never anwered one way or the other.
In any case, I believe that there is a problem with the hardware with the card reader because here is the list of caught IDS supported by versions of the driver that I could find.
It took a while to browse a few files, but there is no drivers in the 4 or so MS # files that I looked through this full support of ID.
It's in the folder Driver2, jmcr_hp file of configuration information. I keep my message below this list of ID.
