Impossible to install fresh any version of windows.

I have an acer apspire m5-481pt ultrabook. It is basically stock except that I installed an ssd 250 GB samsung in there. I was running windows 10 for awhile but he got real unstable to t miss to win 10 drivers. I wanted to do a clean install of windows on the machine 8.1, but constantly, he throws a blue screen error during the initial stages (before the partitioning of the disk). What happened with disks of windows 7 and 8.1, although windows 7 has a slightly different error screen.

This is where it gets weird. I was able to do a clean install of 14.04 Ubuntu without any problem. and by doing this, the reader should be formatted during the process. After installed ubuntu, I was able to get all the way to the screen of score in 8.1 and I deleted the linux ext4 partitions, and it wouldn't let me install to unallocated space. When I tried to create a new partition, he said that a partition could not be installed on this drive. Now the pc hasn't ssd partitions and subsequently no BONES. Try to install costs 7 or 8.1 results in the same error as above. I know I could reinstall ubuntu without any problem, but I want to back 8.1 on it. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hello

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

I would like to know some information about the problem so that we can help you better.

What is the full error message when you say, 'the blue screen error?

Thank you for details on the issue.

This problem can occur because of a few errors on the hard drive.

Please refer to the suggestions for Sharief K responded on October 31, 2012 and check if it helps.

Turn off the laptop and look at the bottom of this one.  If it doesn't have Bluetooth installed, there will be a white sticker with BLUETOOTH printed on it.

I do not know what was causing the boot loop, but the solution was simple. I removed my second hard drive, my video card and 2 GB of ram. I've heard say that windows 7 like no more than 2 GB of ram to install. I reinstalled from the disk, and all is well. If anyone else has this problem, it's worth a try.

    Hello

    1. What are the troubleshooting steps correct you did to fix the problem?

2 did you a recent software or changes to the material on the computer?

I would say allowing you to run the FIXIT from the link provided and check if it helps.

You receive error 0 x 80070020 when you use the Windows Update Web site or the Microsoft Update Web site to install the updates

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/883825

You can also try the manual steps and check.

If you follow the manual steps to start the computer in a clean boot state, remember to start the computer in normal mode after you have completed troubleshooting.

Note: when you are finished troubleshooting, follow step 7, mentioned in the article to start the computer to a normal startup.

Note: It is possible that some data could be removed if infections are detected.

Hope this helps and keep us posted.

  • Install an OEM version of WIndows XP Home SP2 on multiple computers, "Dell".

Why is it possible to install an OEM version of Windows XP Home SP2 on multiple computers from Dell and have activated but not saved? Every Dell computer has its own product key sticker, but apparently this key on the sticker does not match the key that is part of the Dell reinstallation CD. I have this key finder utility that displays the same product key from the registry of each computer Dell. And that the key is not the same as the key on the sticker product key of the computer.

Dell (and other important OEM) have the right to use a special type of results to 1) facilitate easy mass on preinstalled systems deployment and 2) allow a user to reinstall Windows without the headaches of activation (including situations where the COA is not more readable, etc.).  This activation includes a generic product key, called a key SLP (System Locked Preinstallation), and because it is generic for the purposes of OEM activation, he 1) does not work when used by itself and 2) does not match the product key on the certificate of authenticity.  The COA is your rights real run/use Windows software.  Occasionally, you may be asked to activate Windows (because of the corruption, hardware replacement, installation media unpaired, etc), in this case, the COA product key will work to activate Windows.  With Vista + your COA product key can be used to activate an installation from the media non - SLP (or "retail"), although telephone activation is usually required.  Although generally, it will install and activate, you are ONLY allowed to install Windows using SLP/OEM media on computers that have an accompanying person and COST of qualification for this OS (or down).

    Hello

The product key you use to install could be a volume license key, you can contact your network administrator to download the iso from this site http://msdn.microsoft.com/ and install the W8. The W8 will be key during the installation or is installed with the default key that will work for 30 days. If it is installed with a default key, you can change the product key with the suite of measures

    -Run as administrator command line
    -Enter the following command

    slmgr.vbs-ipk TYPE-YOUR-KEY-RIGHT-HERE
-Now go to the properties of your computer and click on activate Windows.

She's... You are finished with the activation of new volume Windows8 license.

What has been said in the link is accurate enough-
-16-bit Installer is not compatible with 64-bit OS (64 bit XP as well).
-Virtual Machine or BOX BACK may be able to run the game.
Well it has been suggested that this game isn't a DOS game that's worth a try if

This works with some games that do not have the critical registry entries, and bypasses the problem of 16-bit installation program, but does not guarantee the Win7 compatibility with a game of this vintage.

  • Impossible to install NI-VISA Driver under Windows 7

    Hi all

Software isn't exactly my strength, so I apologize if this question is badly phrased or trivial.

I am trying to use NI-VISA 4.6 to create a driver for a USB mouse.  My ultimate goal is to read the RAW files positional USB rather than read the position of the mouse on the screen.  This way, I will be able to use the mouse to measure distance without having to worry about the cursor passes at the edge of the screen.  My VI will work pretty much along the lines of this one, which was kindly donated by Intaris on this thread.

I'm running in the driver installation problems, that I created with most of the time described NI-VISA here.  I created the driver .inf and copied in C:\Windows\inf.  Since I am on Windows 7, I copied the Vista driver rather than the driver for earlier versions of windows (another user on the tutorial I linked above says it worked).  I chose my .inf file and clicked "install" from the menu drop-down of the right button of the mouse.  I received a message the first error while I tried saying that the driver was not checked and proceed in any case.  No .pnf file was created in the inf folder (as I believe she should have).  I tried updating the driver for this particular mouse for the new driver, I created in the Device Manager.  Windows has resisted, saying that it had already installed the best driver to work.

So now I know exactly what to do.  I think that other people have figured out how to make it work, but I am helpless as to what I can do differently.  Is - anyone out there know what could be wrong?  Is there must be a .pnf file in order to get the driver to work?

    Thank you

Thanks for the help everyone.  I think I finally found the solution .

I did a lot of trial and error with Windows and finally I got a driver that I created in NI VISA is accepted.  Since it has been hacked together, I have a problem determining the stages that I have to work.  I'm not sure that this list of steps is quite necessary or complete, but in the interest of helping people with a similar problem, I'll try to explain what I did to get the mouse to be read.

The key was probably uninstall the mouse that I wanted to use for the project.  I did this in Device Manager and then found the USB root hub that was running my camera.  I have updated the driver through here rather than through the section 'mouse '.  Information on the procedure to be followed are explained in detail in these two knowledge base articles:

    http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/28C5E7D2E9FBB4CC86257536005A3692

    http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/3C335141B64C038886257141000036F2?OpenDocument

I created the NI-VISA drivers and saved in the default folder (under my documents / National Instruments/NI-VISA) and they installed from there.  I don't know if the installation step was necessary.  Then I updated the drivers as explained in the second article knowledge base related to listed.

I think that the crucial stage is uninstalling the mouse in Device Manager.  This could be the "firmware" mentioned in the article by following the link, but the formulation knowledge base is so ambiguous that I thought I have to uninstall the drivers.

  • I have Windows Vista Business Edition. What I need to upgrade to Windows 7 Professional or can it be any version of Windows 7?

I currently have vista 32 professional and I want to upgrade to windows 7, I understand that I must use windows 7 Professional

is this correct and just use the regular windows 7 pro upgrade disc?

original title: Vista Business 32 - windows 7

If you want to make a room upgrade, you can use Windows 7 Pro 32-bit - you can buy and use the upgrade version. You can also buy Home Premium, but will need to perform a custom installation.

Then my computer run Windows 7?
Basic system requirements are listed below.  Features have additional requirements.

    • 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x 86) or 64-bit (x 64) processor

    • 1 gigabyte (GB) of RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)

    • 16 GB of disk space available (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)

    • Graphical device DirectX 9 with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver

Run Windows Upgrade Advisor to see if there are known problems that might affect installation and if you need to install the 32-bit or the 64 bit version of Windows 7.
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/UpgradeAdvisor

    Installation - 'upgrade' means what?
Upgrade means that you can install Windows 7 simply by inserting the Windows 7 upgrade software in the DVD drive of your PC and follow the instructions on the screen. While you are not required to backup and reinstall your files, or reinstall your programs, it is a very good idea to back up your files and settings before you start any upgrade to the software. Get more information on the software updates and best practices .

Installation - what does "Custom (Clean)" Mean?
A custom (clean) installation clears the contents of the hard drive of your PC. Your files, settings, and programs will not be transferred to Windows 7. This means that to install Windows 7, you must:

    • Back up any files and settings you want to keep

    • Install Windows 7

    • Reinstall all your files

    • Reinstall all the programs you want to use.

These four steps take time, skills, techniques and Windows Easy Transfer can help. However, if you are not comfortable with this process, please consider having the installation carried out by a local service provider.

  • Can I temporarily install an OEM version of Windows Vista Edition Home Premium on a virtual PC?

original title: can I TEMPORARILY install a copy of OEM Vista home on Virtual PC

I want to do a test run of my upgrade scheduled by using Virtual PC to make sure that I select the correct options which will not FUBAR my current system.

To this end, can I take the drive provided by gateway labeled "Disk Operating System" and install on virtual pc by using the product key from the back of my PC, while at the same time that the current key is used to run the host operating system.

I don't care about activation within 30 days, nor I care incidentally WGA (unless to do an upgrade installation), or even legality because of some stupid too restrictive EULA, I just keep can I do to make it work, then try to upgrade to 7 business to a second drive.

When the tests are done, I'll delete the virtual machine and try it on the "live" system The problem is that I need to use the system with the keys that I use for these tests to do as I have nothing else not powerful enough to run Virtual PC for Vista/7.

I'd rather FUBARing a virtual computer to the computer that I use to post on this forum. I don't want to take the risk of disabling the key on my current system because he thinks that I moved the key to a new.

in fact, you were right for the wrong reason. It did not work with Virtual PC, but not for the reason you think. Setup requires a 64-bit computer.

Makes me wonder, which actually means "virtual PC 64"? I thought I had the 64-bit version of VirtualPC.

On the other hand, VMware Player had no problem with the installation. I put the virtual machine have no network card or any medium of communication. Also found it was a good thing that I was intending to double, as I can't upgrade with what I have. Or maybe it's because I have a not activate the installation I did.

What I was trying to do, is check what to do a dual boot works the same way with Vista/7 as it does with previous versions of windows. I was thrown off the coast by warnings from installation CD on "this option does NOT keep your files. Audit confirmed through VMware Player.

I install on a second disc with a backup of some files on what I decided to save the 80 GB for Linux drive. ACS currently cannot be installed on a server running Windows 2008 R2.

As an alternative, you can install ACS on a member server.  Authentication

ACS uses the local machine net API authentication both compared to a 2008

R2 domain will work.  The Remote Agent can also be installed on a 2008 R2
