  Maybe this can help someone else...  I had to simply properly uninstall CS3 and reinstall again after that.  I think what he sort!  I also remember having a similar problem with the Mac at work a couple of years back.  Not sure if it is the same for CS5/CS6.  Here is a link on how to properly uninstall CS3 on Windows XP, Windows Vista and Mac OS.  I'm on OS X 10.9.2 but it works beautifully.  Remove from Creative Suite 3 and CS3 products

  I bought a 960 GB of Sandisk SSD to replace the hard drive in my MBP of 2009.   I backed up the existing time machine hard drive before replacing the drive.   Then I replaced the drive.   When you take control R on startup, I get the folder with exclamation mark warning.   So, I inserted the installation disk and then boot the disk containing the option at startup.   Now, the disk rotates forever (I let go 18 hours).

  Try to run up all by holding down the Option key. Theoretically, that should launch the window of Boot Manager where you can select the startup disk, and then click on restart.

  You are using Safari, the link to get to the error you receive. I used Firefox and the download worked.

  The program is installed without problem.

  I had a previously installed version restored after a hard drive replacement. However, this version gave me a message that some of the files needed to run the program disappeared. I ran the uninstaller and tried to reinstall, but it is yet to complete installation of the program.

  Migration wizard does not work in the case of Adobe applications.

  Please, try the following steps:

  • Uninstall Adobe CC (Creative Cloud help |) Uninstall the creative Office Cloud app)
  • Reboot the computer.
  • Install the latest Adobe Creative cloud version from the link: CC help | Creative cloud desktop
