  OK, so this is the 4th or 5th time I posted on this useless printer. Now for almost 6 months. And 3 different HP printers. I can only print from PC in pdf format. If I select a word doc or printing online. The printer icon loads and that's it. It does nothing else. There is none of the queues. I'm so fed up with it. I will never buy a HP item ever. Includng the desktop PC, I was sold as a gaming PC. With a 545GT graphics card. I can barely stay on the line as overheating but it's a whole different story lol., I just want to do what I did with each printer ther I used. Press on print and it prints. Why are there 2 profiles? Series 4500 and 4500 networking. I have uninstalled re-installed and tried all the work around known to humanity. Wil still only print to PDF files and nothing else. Please can you help me. This is my last attempt to fix this printer. In the case of failure embarks on a garbage depot. I used to promote HP products, but not more. They have dropped the ball. • The model HP LaserJet 2430 Q5964A only print from the manual feeder

  The LaserJet printer will no print (Tray 1) manual feeding.  We need the printer to print only starting from tray 2.  I tried to change the settings to the local node as a server-side.  I tried to make the Tray 1 not available both client-side and server without result.  Regardless of what I select settings, the printer will always say, ' manually feeding heavy extra paper.  I do not use a card stock.  I use a brand line 2 MACO of 10 very similar to Avery label sheets.  How can I get the printer to pass the Tray 1 and only draw starting from tray 2.

  Currently, tray 1 is A4 size, and the Type of tray 1 is labels.  I also settheis to envelope #10.  No matter what is put here the printer insists on the use of Tray1.

  Tray 2 has currently the size value LETTER.  Default paper size is set to letter.

  

  Without the help of HP, on mine I found a solution.

  1 remove the printer from the server

  2. go to the computer of each user who uses the said printer and remove it form the devices and printers

  3. return to the server and add a printer again (used PCL 6) since August 2013 instead of new

  4. replace in the computers of users and add the printer again.

  5 test printing.  It worked correctly in my situation.

  Oh dear.  It turned into a terrible mess of a thread with opinions and advice.    You do your layout with Word.  In my experience, Word is a nightmare when it comes to positioning many areas of text and images.

  You shouldn't have changed the Word document in a JPG file, because the text all which perfectly progressive, which would be printed to "all" size without loss of image quality, then became an image file.  But if you "had" to make it a JPG, just about the worst possible way to do this is with the Snipping Tool, because the resulting image would have only the resolution of your computer screen.  Dows following?

  How big are the pictures you used in Word?  They probably didn't need to be very large, because each image is only an impression at a relatively small size.

  First thing to try is to open the Word Document and save in PDF format using the Standard option (after you select Save as PDF

  It seems that the download process and the automatic installation does not work or has been replaced by the manual process or these updates require a manual procedure for some reason any.
