Impossible to play .mov files in XP

I can't play the .mov files.  I have a new camera that records HD video in .mov format, and I can not play.  Cannot use Windows Movie Maker to create movies.  I'm frustrated.  Is there a free program out there that I can download that will allow me to watch my videos? I use Windows XP.

You need to convert it to .wmv files
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=.mov+to+.WMV+converter

Or download another video player that supports like VLC .mov files.

  • Is there a web module LR4, which can also play .mov files?

I would like to know if there is a web module LR4, who can also play the .mov files. If not, there is such an animal internally, you know maybe one I could download. Thank you

Adobe has not updated the Web module since version 1.5.

It is a bit exaggerated.  There has not been many visible changes, but the foundations have been updated along the way - for galleries Flash, ActionScript3 support color management, sharpening, new browser release, etc.

    And it wasn't a 1.5 version.

Integrated galleries do not support video, but some third-party galleries only.  CS2 TTG stage is one that comes to mind.  http://shop.theturninggate.NET/collections/all/products/stage

    Hello

I just upgraded to cs4 CS5 and I discovered that won´t cs5 allow me to something that has to do with the quicktime codec. I tried to make some mov files h.265 but seconds after I started to the make I got an error message (error code:-1610153464), after flows having failed to render a mov cs5 refuses to read mov files in my project or and refused to import other mov files so that I had to restart the program. I get a message saying that the "MooV" file is probably corrupted. I tried every mov. Codec and lots of mov. the files that I had, to exclude the possibility that this has to do with one of my mov. I used files. CS4 has absolutely no problem, the same files of reading or rendering of the mov files. Rendering view, tiff-sequences etc. in cs5 works very well.

I already tried to reinstall cs5, but still have the error message.

Premiere Elements on which OS? Have you updated 13 to 13.1 still using Help Menu/updates to date of an open project? If this isn't the case, please do.

What is the brand/model/settings for the camera that records video? AVCHD, 2 channel or 5.1 channel Dolby Digital, cadence (interlaced or progressive)?

What is the predefined project and does correspond to the properties of the media source?

    You read the rendered timeline?

You have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer plus Premiere Elements? You run programs as an administrator? What is your card card video/graphic updated according to the web site of the manufacturer of the guard or the computer manufacturer?

Please check and review and then we can decide what then. For any question or need more information, feel free to ask. We will clarify at any time.

    Thank you.

  • Beachball of death / impossible to find movie files shown in disk utility

Then, I started having the awesome beachball.  All the time.  I tried first aid utility disk, in addition to empty my cache dyld.  Seems to have worked.  Looking for a solution to this as well as when I ran disk utility, it shows that I have 380 + GB of movies.  And hoping the clearing space will decrease the appearance of the beachball if nothing else.

I realized that I had a bunch of movies sitting in a folder I have is no longer necessary, so I deleted, emptied the Recycle Bin and rebooted.  Twice.  And disk utility still shows that I have who have lots of space consumed by the movies.  I did a search through the fichiers.mp4/.mov/.m4v/etc finder and come up with very little.

Is there something else I can / does not?  I'm not really wanting to download third party software however.

And it is solved after leaving it alone for a while.  Probably just needs some behind the scenes stuff to happen.

  • Windows Media Player will not play a. MOV file

I have a new Dell laptop with Windows 7 Professional and Windows Media Player will not play a '. MOV' video file completely (the video but not sound). I am told by Microsoft Windows Media Player will not play a MOV file, and I need Codec VLC add on or another player who will play MOV file. What is the best solution and if its for download a Codec VLC, then what is the best source?

    Guess why?  [ :-) ]

Types of files supported by Windows Media Player:
    https://support.Microsoft.com/kb/316992

Which was probably that there was a lack of understanding between the container file and the codec here (in November 2013).  He says he's a "MOV" does not mean that he plays with the same codecs as all other MOV files.  ;-)
