• Domain Active directory unavailable services

  I am running windows 7 and after the last set of updates (15/04/2010) I can access is no longer print servers (version 2003). It gives me the message: domain services Active directory unavailable.  I checked that DNS is properly configured and have tried without firewall active.  I also tried to do a system restore but who could not solve the problem.  I suspect a registry problem I have the same problem no matter what problem I try to print with.  I am now having a problem with adobe and get the error message: unable to print: no pages have been selected to print.  I noticed that these tasks are patches.  I am also unable to use the diagnostic program because it says that I don't have the "'regularly download a file to detect system issues" box "verified even if I do."  My computer is a tool that doesn't help with this ability.

  It is possible to configure multiple servers authentication LDAP, one for each area. I can tell you that it is much more efficient configuration and administration viewpoint experience and end-user to use AD as an external database Microsoft if your installation is actually all in the same namespace for example amer.CompanyName.com and canada.companyname.com.

  To configuration LDAP multiple databases, go to the external user databases > generic LDAP > create a BITTER called, then do the same for CANADA.

• Best way to upgrade of domain Active Directory from 2003 to 2008

  I have a specific situation.  I need to upgrade an AD 2003-2008r2.  We are not comfortable making the leap for 2012.  Basically, the original design was 5 offices of each with a domain controller.  Each domain controller has a file share, but also the "Users" folder  I thought up starting with the new servers side by side.  DCPromo the 2008r2 new servers to domain controllers.  What is the best method to move the file shares and files users in this case?  Once files are moved I can then DCPromo down servers 2003 and raise to the 2008 field.  All IP addresses are static throughout the environment.  He didn't design this way... but having to deal with it.

• Satellite L750 - impossible to recover anything from the CED

  I have a Satellite L750. I called and received advice from TS.

  I had suspected a virus and I wanted to restart from my CD that I created when I initially set the lap top up (I'm told that they are something of the image). I've learned to save and explained how to do this (I'm not warned technology; I know how to use the laptop for what I need, and that's all).
  So I followed the procedure given by TS and made a back up it took quiet some time.

  I contacted TS say again and again I have the CD I did again and I would like to save.
  I followed the steps for me: hold the '0' key push down the on/off switch and wait - then follow the steps on the scree for 32 or 64 bit, and some hand it the WARNING came up... it happened and then it seems to restart.

  When I asked help how really anything restart after that that it was not the support of security - and now I am unable to fix anything of the ERC myself nor I am able to recover something in the file 'back up' I - I made two more distinct (just in case).

  I would like to know if I can recover/reinstall/import/use / copy the CD information
  I did like the thing of the image

  AND

  How can I restore/reinstall/import/use/copy my files from this file backup that always asks me to 'restore' when I chose never - and even after this more than 4 times I have no files?

  I'm not at all intuitive in this area; I really tried to look on the internet without success...

  advice advice or info would really appreciate at this point, I tried to solve this problem since 08:05 Queensland times today (Friday 16.12.2011)

  Maybe it sounds silly now, but it is not easy to help with this. I think either it works or not.

  Very portable can be recovered on two tracks:
  -with the help of HARD drive recovery option (recovery image is saved on the HARD drive)
  -using the created the CD or the DVD

  If you use zero initially to the top, I guess you portable non-European. In any case try please to created once using more disks.
  -Start your laptop and press F12 to get into the boot menu
  -put the recovery disk 1 into the optical disc drive
  -in the start menu, choose the CD/DVD drive and press ENTER

  Optical disc drive will start to read the disc and you have to do is follow the menu on the screen.

  Please do and tell us exactly what is happening.

  We have a DMVPN configuration between a few sites and everything seems fine, except that the logons through the VPN for a new domain active directory are very slow (10-15 minutes). I believe that the problem may be with the fragmentation of tunnel and packages such as AD is configured correctly.

  In general the prolem is due to Kerberos on UDP traffic.

  There are several ways you can solve the problem:

  (1) transition to Kerberos over TCP. (suggested)

  (2) setting the MSS on the interface of tunnel not on telephone transmitter (recommended)

  (3) allowing the PMTUD tunnel (strongly recommended).

  You have an AD domain that is used for your server vcenter only - which is pretty safe. Ms. do guides on building server roles such as domain controllers - you may wish to consider looking at these.

  Regarding the DNS to use - there is no right or wrong answer, this is which option is the best solution for your organization, given the technical, commercial, geographical or political demands.

  There is a bug in the Apply-VMHostProfile cmdlet that is already filed in our bugtracking system. The fix will be available in a future release.

  The problem is caused by using an incorrect version of the API (4.0) which is not taken in charge of operations active directory.

  Here are possible solutions:

  1. join the domain without using the host profile feature. Here's a simple script that can do for you:

The message was "the Active Directory Domain Services is not available. I red how to get back to the work of the administrative tools but I cannot fins it it. In my view, which is simply stopped working. Can someone tell me can hoe I can put it back to work. It seems that it is a lttle lazy and want back tay and relax.

  I intend to upgrade a vCenter 5.0 to 5.5.

  The vShpere environment is used for the test and is not integrated with Active Directory, if users log on the vCenter uses groups and users local vCenter.

  During the upgrade, I have the option to check a box saying "Add < nom_domaine_dns > as a source of identity, Active directory native.

  Please can someone explain what this means?

  What it is supposed to happen if I do not check the box?

  Local users and groups vCenter will be able to log on again after the upgrade?

  SSO, you have the option to add Sources of identity (like LDAP, Active Directory) where the useres and groups are managed.

  This option has no meaning for you if you vpshere environment is not integrated with active directory. But it makes no difference if you select or deselect it.

  I use weblogic 12 c, I create the provider for active directory in myrealm like going to the console >security domains>suppliers > New and I put specific provider and I don't have a ADF application using security ADF taking Kingdom deployed to the same server, weblogic, its work well with username and does not work with the id of the user for example if the user as described below:

  its fine work when put the username: User of Test or Test User2 but does not work with aa123 or bb123 how I let provider to keep the user id instead of the username?

  for the user name attribute active directory samAccountName, can you please try that instead of CN?

  If it doesn't work, can paste you the information from the user, you can use the ldifde command to export the user to Active Directory.
