Impossible to uninstall Shockwave Flash 16.0.0.235

Hello. I can't uninstall Flash 16.0.0.235 no matter what I do. I have downloaded and run several different versions of uninstall, I went into C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash
%AppData%\Adobe\Flash reader %appdata%\Macromedia\Flash player and deleted everything that it and restarted my PC and when I reopen it FireFox it is always there listed as dangerous in the list of modules. Someone has any advice, how to get rid of this version?

Found the reason why. ARC installed and was not not let me get rid of old Flash. Uninstalled and old Flash disappeared.

  • Impossible to update Shockwave Flash plugin

I'm only updating Shockwave Flash because the plugin page says to do so; Otherwise, I have no problems. The sequence of update I'm having problems is different from those described by others:
    (1) check the updates of the plugin: Shockwave Flash 11.1 r102 was highlighted as 'Vulnerable' with red UPDATE NOW.
    (2) click on update now and was prompted to download Adobe Flash Player 11.1.102.62 (no Shockwave Flash); Downloaded ran .exe install file. Closed Firefox installation, such as requested and installation is complete.
    (3) Firefox open; Active plugins and now reviews of saw that version of Flash Player is outdated and people with disabilities.
    (4) as test, played a video of youtube; Click command prompt at the top of the screen for "plugin" missing Run auto update, called for the closure of Firefox and completed the installation.
    (4) Firefox open; Checked plugins and once again saw that Shockwave Flash needed UPDATE NOW (as described in #1 above). Adobe Flash Player is not listed anywhere in the plugin list.
So now that I'm back to where I was before, I'm wondering if I'm really vulnerable because of this version of Shockwave Flash.

    Of course, some confusion.

Pablo said: 'downloaded from your link (64-bit version). »

To clarify: to determine which version is installed in Firefox, use Firefox only when you go to the Plugin Check page or the Adobe page "about". I've known a few cases in which the computer must be restarted after the installation of the new version of Flash for this new version to be recognized.

If the information immediately preceding in this answer does not work for you, you may uninstall Flash completely from your system and start with the installation of Flash again. Note, in the article below, there are 2 programs uninstall, one for 32-bit and one for 64 - bit; Download and run at the same time. Then, follow the instructions in my original answer above to reinstall and test Flash.

Sorry that you have problems with the installation of Flash, but many users on 64 - bit systems posed problems with the new installer 32 bit/64 bit combined from Adobe.

  • Impossible to uninstall shockwave 9.0.45.0

I can't uninstall shockwave 9.0.45.0. I ran the uninstall software as staged and deleted all the files in the four sites. But when I check to check, it detects a version 9.0.45.0. However, this version does not appear in the programs/uninstall from the control panel. I found several file npswf32.dll in program files Adobe folder, but none related to flash and I'm afraid of any partner of Acrobat dlete, etc. I'm on Windows 8 and the latest version of Mozilla Firefox (that I also deleted and reinstalled). Firefox will not allow a new version of flash as a plugin because it blocks the version 9.0.45 it detects. So I did not flash.

I actually thought about it. I finally found the 9.0.45 version of a file npswf32.dll in C:\Windows\System32. I deleted this file and all is well now.

  • Impossible to uninstall Adobe Flash Player to reinstall later

From last Friday night, I noticed that I could not watch videos on ESPN and CNN. The video boxes were black or a message to d/l Adobe Flash Player. I went to Adobe maybe install a Flash Player update. He went through the installation, but on the page of confirmation, no pattern, or message that it was. By checking the FLASH file, I had (10,0,42,34). So I got the Flash uninstaller for Flash Player update online. I D/L the (Adobe Flash Player ActiveX) to install, but it collapsed because the old version was not removed? So now I can't uninstall Adobe Flash Player and install any Flash drive. I just can not in any way remove or install! I don't know why Adobe Flash Player gone bad. I can't find any resolution online so far. Does anyone know how to get around this problem or how to remove Adobe Flash Player to reinstall and enjoy the sites still...

Hi QSX, must be a full moon, people come out of sorts, including myself :-) I understand the frustration, a little over 50 + messages on another thread with problems and it gets that way on this side of the fence too.

OK, let's see where we are. In your first post, you still had the enumerated 10.0.42.34 vs. I guess, that was the vs you wanted to uninstalled in order to install the last vs 10.0.45.2. If this is the case, then what happened during uninstallation, something prevents installation of vs 10.0.45.2 and when that could not be installed, then the 10.0.42.34 was left in place.

Now that you have installed one of the 10.1 RC, I think its RC6 now. Also, you have tried the SubInACL and it did not work.

The way to sort it, is the last-in first-out. The 10.1 has to be uninstalled, but the installer is for beta versions, not the normal uninstall program. I will post that in a minute. First of all, I see no reason why you can't have (after removing 10.1) vs10.0.45.2 install Flash Player 10. Everything is necessary is to determine what happened the first time, but we can go into that if you want to do.

The reason you get pop ups, is that Web sites are looking for Flash Player 10, not a beta. Or if you do not have the Shockwave Flash Object your add ons. It's the command that works with Flash files.

There is a way to ensure a successful uninstall and install Flash Player, I think in your case, it has not been done correctly.

Here is the link to the site that has the link to uninstall for the 10.1. Page down and you will see the uninstall information.

    http://labs.Adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer10.html

Let's get the 10.1 uninstalled first, don't forget when you finish to Reboot (restart) your computer. I'm not sure but I thot, I read that this program uninstaller to uninstall the on-board version also?

  • Impossible to uninstall Macromedia Flash Player 7 on Satellite A100-533

    Hi there :)

I use an A100-533 with a Toshiba restore CD.
But I can't uninstall Macromedia Flash Player, which is installed automatically from the recovery cd.
If I try, I always get the message:

"The feature you are trying to use is on a network unavailable resource.

Click OK to try again or enter a different path to the folder containing the installation package 'install_flash_player_7.msi' in the box below.

    Use source:
    C:\Sysprep.

Download install_flash_player_7.msi and put the file in the C:\Sysprep did not help.

In another thread about the same message, I found this link that helped the author of thread: http://support.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB6501GM0002R01.htm
    But it no longer works.

Someone at - it an idea to get rid of Macromedia Flash Player? :(

    Hello

Why you want to remove it?

First of all it s no more Macromedia Flash Player but the Adobe Flash player.
So I recommend you to visit the Adobe page and download and install the latest version of the Flash player on the site.

Finally, it should be possible to remove the Flash player from the system in the Panel-> Add & Remove programs

In addition, I recommend the free application called CCleaner. Some guys recommended this too. You can manually delete all the files in flash player and you can clean the registry using this software.

    Welcome them

  • Shockwave Flash 16.0.0.235 keeps crashing / failing.

Whenever I open a Web page in firefox, IE or even google chrome my Shockwave flash crashes. Especially in firefox. I tried to update, uninstall, reinstall, clear my cache, restart firefox, through each troubled shockwave shoot of the shock wave reset cache to disable hardware acceleration, but none of this solves the problem. I can't even open my homepage without crashing at least 3 or 4 times. Thank you for your time and your help.

I've been hit my head against the wall on this for weeks. I'm at school and cannot use my computer laptop because flash keeps crashing, and it seems that almost every site uses flash. I tried to uninstall flash and my browsers, deactivation, reinstall, reboot, etc, ugh, nothing worked. I finally found this little useful information on the Mozilla site. I've updated my Intel graphics drivers (I have an Intel-based computer) and now I don't want to chuck my computer out of the bridge, the flash works again! If you have trouble, try to update your graphics card driver! This page has a few other ideas and also update the links. I really hope this helps.

Update your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL. Firefox help

EDIT: Okay, he started crashing again. But it's even better than before.

I installed malware bytes software and has been infected by a number of things. When I put in quarantine them, flash was back to normal.

  • Impossible to uninstall Toshiba Flash Cards Support utility

    Hello
I already followed the instructions I found on the forum. Uninstalled PVAT. The SCCF is a separate program and doesn't want to uninstall through Control Panel uninstall procedure. I downloaded a new SCCF file and it won't install and I get a message that the program already exisist and that there is an incompatibility problem.

The reason why I want to perform this task, it is that my function keys Fn do not work.
    Can you help me, please?

Can you please tell us which model of laptop you have, what operating system you want to use and so on?
When you write on PVAT I assume you are using Win7.

You want to install the clean version of Win7?

  • Shockwave Flash 20.0.0.235 set to update automatically, however...

Under December 2015 Adobe Security Bulletin, I wanted to check my previous Shockwave Plugin update and viola! It was already updated to 20.0.0.235 in date from 12/08/2015. Great! That said, I also noted that, under the foregoing to day was a previous November 2015 Shockwave 19.0.0.245, still in place... a bit strange, nespau? I'm wrong, but the new update should completely replace the old, do not install the older version of again and remain status quo? Doesn't seem to be a problem in terms of performance, however, I would be recognizing opinions as to whether the latter should be removed manually, or left as that is.

    See attached screenshot.

    Thanks in advance.

First try to restart Firefox if it was running when updating Adobe Flash Player. Sometimes the Flash Player doesn't have older version on Windows.

You can use the uninstaller to uninstall Flash Player, and then install the current version.
    https://helpx.Adobe.com/Flash-Player/KB/uninstall-Flash-Player-Windows.html
    https://www.Adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html

Make sure Firefox is not running / closed before uninstallation and installation of Flash Player.

  • Shockwave flash 16.0.0.235 installed, there is a security risk, cannot update

There is an obsolete page on the Adobe Flash website blocked by Firefox 35.0.1 under Windows 7. Version 16.0.0.235 of Flash is labeled a security risk, "Always enable" is grayed out. I was on the Plugins page, and there I clicked on the update now linktext. I have been informed that all the old versions of Flash in the range of version 11 are blocked. Anywhere where go to from there. (My screenshot has a piece off the coast the Plugins page over top of the resulting page when I clicked the links provided).

Obsolete page being blocked has been received and I was able to run through the download process, but in the end, I got an error.
I tried several times to download install_flashplayer16x32_mssd_aaa_aih.exe, that downloads OK, and when I run it it downloads and installs Adobe Flash, then said: finishing and "There was a mistake."

Flash software Glary Utilities Update update Internet Explorer, says nothing about Firefox, now I know why. It is a mess.

I opened firefox Pei and went into the new profile Virgin I had created sometimes back. He was happily running a fully compatible version of Flash 11 (I bet that wouldn't last long because my browser's biting me in the end and disables it).

Firefox Pei and I created a new profile today. It has this crippled version 16.0.0.235 Flash.

It seems that Mozilla has an obsolete page telling me that all the old versions in the range of version 11 are blocked. No word on the newer versions.

From what I've read, others are in what concerns other browsers and come with a bad Flash, too. I don't have Firefox (well, Internet Exploder, which I cut like a piece of trash since they came out with IE 7).

    Any advice? Thank you.

This is over my head. I called the big players to help you.

    Hello

From Windows 8 Microsoft embeds Flash Player in the browser.  This includes Windows Server 2012.  For this reason, Microsoft locks the permissions on files to prevent users to erase files.  Microsoft does not provide a standalone installer of Flash Player for IE/Edge on these platforms and all updates from Microsoft via Windows Update.  By force to unlock the file and forcing the removal of the file you probably made your system unable to re - install Flash Player because there is no separate standalone installer for Flash Player on Windows Server 2012.  If you do not need Flash Player on this system, which is not a problem.  But if you need Flash Player on this system, you can, or can be not, be able to reinstall it.
