Impossible to update Acrobat Pro

Hello

When I try to upgrade to the latest minor version (9.3.3) Acrobat Pro, I can't complete the operation due to a dialog box that appears in the background and can not be moved to the foreground. To finish, I have to click a button in this dialog box, but it is impossible, and I have to force - quit the update.

This bug was already in the previous version of Acrobat, and despite the fact that I and others pointed out, it's still there. Maybe someone knows how to solve the problem without waiting for a fix?

Paolo

As you can see, the lower dialog box remains in the background (and cannot be moved forward).

Have you tried to repair the installation before the update?

  • Impossible to reinstall acrobat pro XI with creative cloud

    Hello

It has been several times Acrobat Pro wants to update with creative, in order to update cloud, but everytime, at one time, he says that it is impossible to install the update, because the current version has been modified (?). So it seemed like a bug and I let go.

But as it's several weeks he says, I found it boring and today decided to uninstall Acrobat Pro with the uninstaller (in acrobat pro folder). He uninstalled it pretty well!

But now I want to INSTALL the latest version of Acrobat Pro XI, so I go to my creative Cloud applications, and it is said "to date".

OK, so I go to the website of 'download' application, but it opens up the creative cloud app that says that it is up to date! But it's not! ...

    So what can I do?

    Thank you

Yeeees! I found the problem! For all installations! X, XI and 11.0.04!

The problem: I moved the folder tmp of Mac OS in a hard drive named "Macintosh HD". The Acrobat installer do not like to all spaces in folder names. Perhaps Adobe could solve this problem, one day, regarding the whole mess around this installation of # $@ and Acrobat.

The solution: move your tmp folder on another place where there is NO ROOM. That way, after opening the Terminal application:

    sudo Ditto/private/tmp/Volumes/your_hdd_name_without_spaces/private/tmp

    sudo rm - rf/private/tmp

    sudo ln-s/Volumes/your_hdd_name_without_spaces/private/tmp/private/tmp

And everything is in order now. Or should be.

  • Can I manually update Acrobat Pro XI of 11.0.0 to 11.0.17

I have three computers HP laptop with Windows 7 Pro 64, and each has a unique full version of Adobe Acrobat Pro XI 11.0.0.

When I try to update a laptop (help, Check for Updates), it brings up a window saying there is an update available, past through the download process, but in the end gives me error 1328.  I removed the program (Control Panel, uninstall a program) and reinstalled.  I tried updates again.  Same error message.

I tried a second laptop, and it does not yet to the top of the window saying there are updates available, but a window appears in the taskbar indicating the download of Acrobat updates.  When I click on the pop - up it disappears, there is no progress download and software window does not update.

I have not yet tried third laptop.

Can I update to version 11.0.0 directly to 11.0.17 of this Web page:

Installers for all products supported also appear on the pages of the product (with the exception of the full Acrobat) download. You can download and manually install these products as follows:

    Adobe - Acrobat: for Windows

Or, what I need to download updates for the 11.0.01 version, first and then cross updates one at a time?  Or can I still use one of these links I do not have the listed version?  So, what to do if since version 11.0.0 is not listed?

    Thank you for your help.

I'm pretty sure that updates to 11.x are complete and you don't need older versions. Unlike 9.x where you would have to run at day of 20 or more separate updates.

  • Impossible to install Acrobat Pro XI on Mac

Hello, I've recently upgraded from Acrobat Pro 9 to XI (Mac version) and failed to install.

When I first installed Acrobat Pro version 9, I was running an earlier version of Mac OS X (I think it's Snow Leopard), but since then have updated my OS periodically and now spin El Capitan 10.11.5. Recently, I bought a license for Acrobat Pro XI and been affected by errors. Before attempting installation, I uninstalled my machine using the uninstall program Adobe version 9.

After the first failure, I found I was able to launch Acrobat Pro, but not all the features worked.

I have ran the Adobe Unistaller, rebooted, tried installing again, had the same fault message and once again found I could launch Acrobat Pro, but did not have all the features

Yet once, I ran Adobe Unistaller, rebooted, this time in the recovery Partition where I ran disk utility and performed first aid on Macintosh HD, as well as on the physical disk. I can't say that that first aid is no. In earlier versions of Mac OS X, disk utility included functions such as the Partition of repair, repair disk permissions, etc., but now all these functions are missing and replaced with a single function called first aid.

After that, I rebooted into OS X, again ran the installer, once again got an installation message failed.

What can I do now? Is there that a saved Setup log file somewhere that I can read and publish? Is there any other information that I can provide to shoot evil?

My computer is a MacBook Pro 13 "mid-2009 with 8 GB of RAM.

    Hi davidb66287241,

I apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.

You can try to install Acrobat using root user, visit this user account activation link root Mac: activation and using the user 'root' on OS X - Apple support

Also, try to delete this file: /Library/Preferences/com.adobe.PDFAdminSettings.plist and try to install Acrobat XI as a root user.

    Let me know the results.

    Thank you

  • Impossible to update Acrobat Professional version 9.0.0

My situation: I bought Adobe Acrobat Pro (version 8) for Max OSX and subsequently bought an update to version 9 (Acrobat Professional). However I'm unable to update the software that I receive on the message that the software is not in it's original configuration (plugins are missing). I should correct this problem which could be done by reinstalling the software. However, who advises did not work for me.

When I select the REPAIR option (my version is in Dutch, I don't know if the REPAIR is the menu item in the English version, but it is an option in the HELP menu) in version 8, there is nothing to fix. In version 9 I can fix the Adobe PDFViewer Safari plugin and the plugin from the Adobe PDF printer. After the repair of these plugins, I get a pop-up confirming that everything is fixed. However: the update is still not installed and when I asked to REPAIR again, it seems that the same plugins still need to be repaired.

So: it seems to be the case that I am unable to fix these 2 plugins in version 9.

One of you knows this problem? If so, (how) did you solve this problem?

    Best regards

    M.

The repair under the Help menu will not help in this instance. You will need to uninstall Acrobat 9, and then reinstall it. :-( I would recommend setting permissions before you reinstall Acrobat 9.

  • Impossible to buy Acrobat Pro on business account

I can't believe how overly complicated Adobe have done for businesses to buy acrobat as an individual application!

    So here's our scenario:

I want to put in place a team of business account (monthly) which consists of:

    3 x full CC

    2 x Photoshop

    2 acrobat x pro

    Sounds simple right? EVIL!

If I do the above, I have two incredibly stupid options! :

Option 1 is to have complete team paid the outset (including Acrobat DC Pro licenses) on an e-mail address. Don't pay upfront no chance! where the flexibility in one!

Option 2 is to have one team, paid monthly on an e-mail address (team for two Photoshop CC licenses) and the other team paid full upfront (2 x DC Acrobat) + 3 x CC on a second e-mail address. More complicated! I have to be able to handle all applications and Central users do not separate scattered across accounts!

I spent all morning trying to get clear answers and simple configuration, but adobe doesn't seem to help businesses, Acrobat Pro is such low spec program but because of major problems!

    Hi Nathalie,.

You must subscribe to the single application Adobe CC teams account for each application.

If the team admin e-mail can be kept as identical.

Licenses for each app will be available in your administration console to assign to the user ID.

Licensing Pro Acrobat must be purchased from a dealer (find an Adobe reseller)

Moreover, I advise you to join Adobe sales to place your order.

    Kind regards

  • Impossible to download Acrobat Pro because of the 'restrictive access privilege' on Mac

I am unable to download Acrobat Pro because of the 'restrictive access privilege' on a Mac Mavericks folder ('Applications', where else?), but I left "Read & Write". I won't install anywhere else, so need help. Thank you.

Mickey McFly please make sure you download your download folder or a different folder in addition to your Applications folder.  Once Adobe Acrobat is downloaded you can install the software in your Applications folder.

  • Impossible to install Acrobat Pro XI through CC

Whenever I try to install Acrobat Pro 11 ends after 51% saying "the older version of Acrobat 11 Pro cannot be deleted. Well, there is no earlier version, is to not install this software before, even if I already had Acrobat X on the machine that I uninstalled before. There are remnants of the old installation? If so, how can I get my own PC so XI will install? And: Yes, I already tried installing via "as Administrator" with the same negative results.

In addition, dear Adobe developers, the error message '7' is far from useful ("42" would be more acceptable )

    • Payload of third party installer AcroPro.msi failed with exit code: 1603

    P. S.: I found the installation of the program itself (acropro.msi) and it started. This is the error it produces:

  • Impossible to install Acrobat Pro

A few months ago, I am the creator of Cloud 1 month free trial, and I downloaded a bunch of applications: Acrobat Pro, ID, PS, Dw.

This morning, I bought the 1 year subscription, but when I try to launch Acrobat Pro, it says that my membersip of the cloud trial has expired. So I uninstalled it, but Adobe Application Manager has always said that it is "installed". And he gave me the same message for other applications as well: "Installed", but I could not run without getting this error.

So, I unsintalled ID from my computer and re-installed in the App Manager. Then I was able to run and I can use it, no problem; I can also use Dw and Psalm but for Acrobat X Pro, it is said that it is "installed", so I can't download it (or use it as I uninstalled it).

I restarted my computer, but to no avail.

    I'm on a Mac, OS 10.6.8.

    Everyone knows what is happening?

    Thank you.

    René

    OK, I fixed it.

The target of the navigation/Applications/Utilities/Adobe installers.

And in the "Adobe Installers" folder the Acrobat X Pro is still listed. I double clicked it and it uninstalled again, and now it is correctly listed in the "uninstalled" App Manager

    Everything is good.

  • Acrobat Updater - Acrobat Pro DC - error 1636

Unable to install the update gives an error code 1636 so I don't have any idea what can cause this error to occur. I've recently updated Mac OS version 10.11, El Capitan. Can someone help me please?

  • How can I update Acrobat Pro version 9.0.0?

The option to update with aid says there is no update. I saw ftp.adobe.com and attempted to install those update patches, but I am given and error message that they are not compatible with my current version of Acrobat. I need to install this update for 100 users.

You must install first of all patches in order, oldest.  They must be for the right variant for example Acrobat Standard/Pro/Pro Extended. If they are available. You left this much, much too long.

  • Impossible to update Acrobat Professional 7.0.0

I'm on Windows 10.  When I click search for updates now, one, opens the window Adobe Update Manager asking me for authorization for the program continued.  After that I give him permission, nothing happens.  Help!

We are surprised that you're even Acrobat 7 to install all the Windows 10.

Acrobat 7 is not fully compatible with any version of Windows beyond Windows XP! You must upgrade to Acrobat DC for full compatibility Windows 10 as well as compatibility with any version of time reasonably modern Microsoft Office.
