There is no need to upgrade - and no points.

We'll see if we can get rid of the feat...

Best way to fix it now (since we do not know what version of RemoveWAT served) is to run WATFix...

Download WATFix - make sure you UNCHECK the box for the "Download Manager and click on the link on the left of the page, not the big button on the right (which is an ad for the Download Manager!)" - and use that - extract the .exe file and run it, and then restart your computer.

Post back with another report MGADiag (new this time, if you please!), and then we'll see what we can do.

I had to wipe my computer and rebuild it and in the process, the manufacturer gave me a copy of Windows that is apparently not authentic, or they don't give me a product code, I didn't write down what they gave me. Now, I have less than 20 days to validate Windows. Need help. Cannot update Windows Media Player or download certain features of Microsoft. Have you tried to activate on the phone. Thank you.

    Hi Aaron,

What happened when you tried to activate Windows by phone?

You need a valid product key to activate Windows XP.

If you have the ability to validate Windows through the Windows Genuine Advantage tool, and it does not work, you can consult this article to solve problems.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/916247

  • Impossible to activate Windows 8 Pro build 9200

I have a MacBookPro running the Mavericks and I installed Parallels Desktop 9 for Mac. I then installed a new copy of Windows 8 Pro but I failed to activate. I get the error message "Windows could not be activated: go to the control panel for some other ways to activate."

    Error code: 0x8007232B

Error description: DNS name does not exist.

I ran the command SLUI 03 and manually enter the 15-digit product key, get a message "your product key works! Continue when you're ready. " I then click on activate only to receive the error message shown above.

    Help, please!

  • Impossible to update Windows XP Pro SP3 x 32

When I try to update W XP Pro I now have a message asking "I want to install this program?" with two buttons, "Install" & "do not install". The program name is "Microsoft Update". By clicking on buttons causes the button appear depressed but is not coming back 'out' and everything freezes for some time before another message saying there was a problem with the web page then it repeats once again. Center of Microsoft Fixit says it has solved the problem, but it still does not work. The first message box only began to appear last week, already the update just went forward without any problem since I had XP (since its release). I've tried many 'cure', but nothing seems to work. I would really appreciate some help with what I want to keep everything up-to-date. Thank you for your help.

    Hi chatrick,

    Step 1.
    1. go to start > run > cmd
type and press on enter each command line:
    net stop cryptsvc
    Ren %systemroot%\System32\Catroot2 oldcatroot2
    net start cryptsvc
    output

    Step 2.
    2. rename the folder c:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution
go to start > run > cmd
type and press on enter each command line:

    Net stop wuauserv
    CD %SystemRoot%\System32
    Ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old

then try again to install updates
Thus, you need to reset IE
Open Internet Explore go to tools > internet options > Advanced tab > reset >

  • impossible to reinstall windows XP pro...

Hi, I'm hoping there's an Assistant "you have not" reading of this...

I got tired of random programs from decide who wanted not run/open/work at all without reason aparant, some viruses of compensation or foolishly setting set somewhere im enough computer but I have the wrost chance in the known universe.

sort of, I'm so fed up with progs (Itunes 10, steam and a few others which im not to bothered all) does not work after reinstalling and ask questions on the support pages (no awnsers), I went to my irritable Local store "Yet-to-be-tamed" and am myself a Xp pro SP2 boot disk, I bung inside as he told me how to "repair" Reinstall if I lose any data/settings (I wondered weather it is possible but what _ I'l give it a shot.) So I stuck the cd player, auto run, I chose the installer of windows... a black magic happened, an error that happened (sorry I forgot what he said... no doubt VERY important, something put in shape) I click ok... He continues... cool it restarts... running the ASUS... What ever, it's that I had with the MB, entry of the Os, POST Hits startup boot screen... Then the Group of experts of vacuum... not even a mouse... the screen remains black keyboard stays on... CD player still spinning... nothing... then a new sound arrives, a little like a horn noise sounds / burrr dissaproval. I can enter the place of startup parameters (forget his name) and allso I can't enter the menu "what do you start from", but none or the start device setting will get me anywhere. This have on earth I did... that is why I hope that there is a reading assistant.

Oh allso not even invite him "press a key to continue."

I searched on google for about 3 hours... try each veriation of 'I failed to reinstall win xp pro' I think.

Aparantly... PERSON fails as hard as I do, that I have not found a single person who ahs experianced this. 0.o

I gave up with the Go how ever many music... game saves, docs edited, all, I fortunately will wipe away everything just to get it working again. I don't just save my data any more, if I can save is great, but I'm not going to be bothered if I lose everything...

I'll pop in my shop techy "yet to be tamed" and beg you to help me.

but for the time being. you guys will have to put up with me for abit.

Sorry for the spelling and I thank you for any response. bad or good.

    see you soon,

    VMR

  • Impossible to reinstall windows XP pro, error message "no HDD found"

Hey, I don't have my admin password ive tried everything to fix it with no luck so decided to reinstall XP pro, I put the XP pro cd in the cd drive, it loads the cd a little and told me then he can not find a hard drive for the windows installation can not move forward? I just want to be able to use my computer again?

The error means that the disk controller drivers are missing. You must get with the card website mother mftr. and put them on a floppy disk. At the beginning of the installation procedure, and then press F6. An alternative is to integrate the drivers into your installation of XP.

Integrate the RAID or SATA controller drivers:

  • Impossible to validate Windows 7

See you like a common problem for many people. "this copy of Windows is not genuine" in the bottom right.

Built my system a few years ago. Buy Vista OEM as well as all of the hardware components. This OEM of Vista version included a free upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium. Since the time of construction, until recently, there is no problem. Windows 7 validation was very good.

Have you tried to validate again in line with the link, but the green circle just keeps going. An error in script popped up, so don't know if this has something to do with it. Also, I took the advice of several other positions and ran the MGDT (results below). Thanks for any help you can offer.

To participate in the free Kit to upgrade to Windows Vista > Windows 7, PC manufacturers were required to provide a clean copy Installation DVD of Windows 7 with a COA label with product key.  Several included another disk with the drivers and/or their bloatware, but the DVD clean install with the product key, he had to participate in the program.  This allowed consumers to do a clean install and reinstall as often as necessary with the product key.

Because your key is detected as retail OEM System Builder, you can audit the now full key using ProduKey

and confirm with Showkey.  It must match the COA sticker.

What I would do, is to put the product key three times confirmed in the page system activation link.

If activation fails, open a command prompt , type slui 4, press ENTER, follow the prompts to update activation by telephone.  If it still fails once stay on the line to explain to the agent of your problem.

Hi, I had to replace my hard drive because he was almost dead.

I have a genuine copy of Windows 7 Home 64 bit that I bought when I bought my PC.

did you actually check your mailing address in your web account to yahoo? That is to say had them send you a special courier to check that it actually works? Sounds stupid, but they made me do it years ago.
