Impression of an 'attachment' in my e mail (how)

I have an "attachment" in my e-mail (Windows 8) - I just want to 'print' (for my printer - so I have a physical copy)-how can I do this?

Hello

Basically, you must save the attachment, and then print it out.

For more specific advice, go you e-mail via

1. the Windows 8 messaging application

2. a mail service like Hotmail or gmail via Internet Explorer and outlook.com

3. a program installed like Windows Live Mail?

You have Word? Office 2004 won't work with El Capitan.

You can save the attachment and then try to open it to see what happens. If it still does not open, try to open Word or Pages or TextEdit and use the command open.

  • How to open an DS_STOREFile attachment to an e-mail message in Outlook Express 6?

I got the DS_STOREFile with pictures as an attachment in an e-mail message in Outlook Express 6.  How can I open it?

First save you it to disk.  Then, you need to ask those who sent him this program to use to open it.  You can then right-click on it and go to properties and click the button change to set the appropriate program.  If it has a file extension that would help a lot of things, but if not, you will need to ask the sender.

What is the video attachment file extension? WMP does not play You Tube videos.

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for posting your question in the community of Microsoft Windows. I understand that you face problems when downloading an attachment of an e-mail.

I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing. I will definitely help you with this.

To help you suggest several steps to solve the problem, I would appreciate it if you could answer the following questions:

    1. What mail client do you use?

    2. you receive an error code or message?

    3. have you made any recent hardware or exchange of software on your computer before the show?

    4. What is the file format of the attachment?

5 is confined to a particular question or all attachments?

    6. What antivirus software are installed on your computer?

I suggest you to save the file on the desktop.

Also to disable the antivirus software and try to download the attachment.

Please follow the methods and mark the question below:

  • Since download IE9 has changed the font on my message preview, on Windows Mail panel, and the symbol of the attachment is not there. How can I change this back?

Since download IE9 has changed the font on my message preview, on Windows Mail panel, and the symbol of the attachment is not there.  How can I change this back?

Just go in the Panel. Programs and features and then click on the left of "view installed updates" and find Windows Internet Explorer 9, and then you can uninstall it.  You should know that it is installed automatically via Windows Update, so you'll need to keep it to be reinstalled.  I think you can go Windows Update manually, and then it will ask you, then you can't deny it there and it should stick.

I couldn't open an attachment in an e-mail message.  Asked me if I wanted to save.  He saved the attachment in a folder window, but I can't open it again.  How can I open the attachment?

    Hi MMLER,

    1. which e-mail account do you use?

    2. do you have a code error message when you try to open the attachment?

    3. What is the file format and the size of the attachment?

    4. what web browser you use to access the e-mail account?

If you use Internet Explorer to access the e-mail account, and then follow the steps below:

    Method 1:

I ask you to change the download location and check if the problem persists.

You can try the following steps to change the Internet Explorer default 'save' the download location.

    a. open Internet Explorer

    b. click on the gear icon in the upper right corner, and then click view downloads.

NOTE: You can also press CTRL + J instead.

    c. click on the Options link.

    d. click on the Browse button.

    e. find and select the folder you want to use as the default download location, then click on the selection to a folder of Internet Explorer button.

    f. click OK.

    g click Close.

    Method 2:

Temporarily disable any third-party security program and check if it helps.

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

  • Save, save as and attached to the E-mail Options greyed out

I have a client using Adobe Reader X, any PDF file open on their system (Win7 64 bit) has the save, save as and attachment to the E-mail option is grayed out. This is for all users of the system.

I can open the same PDF on my equivalent system without problems and have access to 'Save', 'Save-as' and 'Attach to E-mail' options. So I know the file PDF itself is OK.

I tried to remove and reinstall Adobe Reader X on clients machine, but the same problem occurs after re - install. I checked the options in the application, and they both look the same on both systems.

Are there options to the registry or any other thing, I can look at to compare the reason why we have to 'Save', 'Save-as' and 'Attach to E-mail' options and the other does not?

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide,

Doriana, just to confirm our email conversation (and update the forum for anyone else having the same problems).

I just solved the problem. As I suspected that he had no problem with the file, it must have been a corruption with the installation of Acrobat Reader. Although I had repaired and removed / re-installed application (nor with any success previously).

So this time I deleted the Adobe Reader software and then connected the Acrobat (acrobat_ittools_cleaner_p2_061713.zip) the site Adobe Web cleaning tool. I then restarted the computer and re-installed Adobe Reader 10.1.13. Now everything seems to work. Definitely under my ID, so just need to the end-user for testing.

Thanks again for your time and your help John. I will end this post on the forum.

  • Incorporating a completed PDF form as an attachment to an e-mail PDF

Is it possible to integrate a completed PDF form as an attachment to an e-mail PDF? The actors presenting the PDF can have Adobe Reader. I created a form, originally with Acrobat Pro 9.0, and then opened in LiveCycle Designer and added a button to send with the embed PDF option. It works fine for me, but not for someone else who tested it for me. Maybe because they don't have LiveCycle themselves? I read in some older forums on this issue and am rather confused as to whether it is still feasible for extraction of information from the general public. I am a newbie to forms and LiveCycle, sorry. I have a client who really wants a form is submitted in this way and I don't know what to tell them. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you very much.

First of all, you really have the wrong forum.  PDF Generator is the product side server that converts native files (Word, Excel, AutoCAD) in PDF.  You probably want the LiveCycle Designer forum.

Second, if you saved the file in LiveCycle Designer in PDF (as opposed to an XDP) then others will be able to open it as long as they have the free player.  To submit the data, however, you will need reader to extend the form.

Reader Extensions will allow users with the player free to do the things that they would normally require the complete to make Acrobat product.

You can apply Reader Extensions is using Acrobat (open your completed PDF and add them) or with the server, LiveCycle Reader Extensions ES product.  The main difference is the license (I think that Adobe limited users of Acrobat to 500 of the form).  The product side server has also some extensions that are not available with Acrobat.

  • If I want Outlook Express for my e-mail how do downloaded?

On my other computer that I want to get Outlook Express for my e-mail, how it downloaded?

OE is a part of XP, and you already have it.

Go to control panel | Add/Remove programs. Add/Remove Windows components. Make sure Outlook Express is checked.

Still nothing on the desktop? Copy this:

    c:\Program files\outlook express\msimn.exe

Start | Run and paste it in. Ok.

Now go to control panel | Set access to programs and settings by default and OE set as default and then you should have the shortcut.
