Impressions of Lightroom on HP C6280

Printing with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom on the printer C6280 and HP Premium Plus photo paper colors are not correct. I select the printer to manage colors and by selecting the type of appropriate paper but already on the preview before printing, the colors are bad (too green). What I am doing wrong?

It in fact I solved myself by setting the profile sRGB color in Lightroom. Managing color in the printer driver is set to sRGB. Now the colors on the printed documents are ok.

  • Their impression of Lightroom 4 for Canon Pixma Pro 9000 MK II

I tried to print from Lightroom to a Canon Pixma Pro 9000 MK II 4.   Every time I try to print via try it before (to the canvas), I get an error message (code 1281) and I can't print.   I tried a few different papers as canvas and give them the same error code.

I also tried printing from Elements 9 with the same problem.

I can print via try it before using the own Canon, Easy Print Pro software, but I can't soft proof of the image first, and can't do the correct image size or the other.

Anyone have an idea how I can get around this problem?

  • What part of my photo is printed from Lightroom

What impression of Lightroom (last version, Mac OS x, latest version) on my Epson SC P800 not all photo is printed and the image is also biased. When you print the image of Photoshop, everything seems fine. Any suggestions?

I found the problem. The Epson SC P800 communicates its parameters to the computer, but there is a left setting, the preferred paper size is A3, always even if the A4 is loaded. Apparently only Lightrooms engine to print reacts to this setting as well as Photoshop has no problem. So I can not print again, as long as I remember to manually change this setting in the Epson driver for this printer, because my other printer gives no problem.

  • Why lightroom takes as much HARD drive space?

    Hi guys.

I am currently using the trial of Lightroom CC, really interested in buying, but one thing really bothers me.

I left on my Macbook 10 GB of storage. After you import all my RAW files that are stored on a disk of 1 TB external HARD, my Macbook internal storage has dropped to 8GB.

I was under the impression that Lightroom does not copy the pictures in its library, but references the original files on the external HARD drive.

What would be the reason why take so much space?

My Macbook's internal storage is very limited, so I have to rely on external hard drives, so this is a dealbreaker for me.

    Thank you

    Hi stuontour

The best thing to do in such a situation would be to keep the catalog and images on the external hard drive.

    How do mentioned below-

    • Open Lightroom
    • Click file - new catalogue
    • Now create a new catalog on the external hard drive and click ok
    • Lightroom opens now with this new catalogue
    • Click Import, and then use the Add option to import images

In this way, you can keep all the data on the external hard drive, but ultimately you need to increase your HARD drive you can install plugins or applications of presets.

  • The Lightroom prints do not match the size of the cells

Impressions of Lightroom is smaller than the size of the cells

Until this week my 6.1 Lightroom print Pixma Pro-100 routine worked well.  This week, when I printed out a few test photos that Canon Photo Paper Plus semi-Gloss of Lightroom on my Apple Mac Pro Quad Xeon 6.1, size of Lightroom cells in the print module has been set at 3.493 x 5.5 inch 4 x 6, but the actual cell printed on paper 4 x 6 was 2.38 x 3.72 inches.  Lightroom is updated (version 6.1, Camera Raw 9.1) and I am running Yosemite 10.10.4 on Mac Pro, also updated.   There is no printer error code when I look at the print queue, just the small print on paper 4 x 6 and 8.5 x 11, shiny and glossy, two newspapers of barrel size. The photos are of a Fuji X - T1 in. Format of the RAF, supported by current versions of Lightroom and Yosemite.

This happened with or without the scale flag to adjust the paper size set in the dialog box printer under the paper handling section. I repeated this three times on test paper Canon 4 x 6, with the same result using the ICC driving Canon color profiles.  I then switched to a different image on 8.5 x 11 Canon Photo Paper Plus Glossy II, with a cell size of Lightroom set to 5.104 x 7.437 in. on paper, but the size of the cells printed was 4.34 x 5.31 inches.  In both cases, I checked the document selected in the library module, developing and printing from Lightroom 6.1 were all together at the same size, 4 x 6 or 8.5 x 11 as appropriate.

I always print at sizes reduced to check your and before committing to print full size 13 x 19, but I'm now the printer produces contrast to avoid making any impression until I can be sure that the size of the cells that I want to size prints will be the cell sizes.

I tried different images and orientations (portrait and landscape) and tried to scale to the size of the paper was on and off the dialog box printer under the paper handling section.

Another test, I printed two pictures of the Canon Print Studio Pro application comes with the Canon Pixma Pro - 100-4 x 6 Photo Paper Plus Glossy II cannon and they printed to the correct size, so I'm sure that the printer is working correctly, but somethings wrong in Lightroom, maybe a flag set by mistake, but I can find nothing of different of when I printed before exactly the sizes specified in the dimensions of the mesh of the print module.  I have 2/3 ink remaining in most tanks, 1/3 in the other, so ink supply shouldn't be a factor.

Any help in troubleshooting would be appreciated.

    Solved.

Under printer, in the section of the margin, the value had been set long-side stapling at 1.2 inches.  I have never had a reason to enter the print area, with no need to staple the photo prints, but it must have fat fingers something last week.  I have reset the value of the margin at 0.0, and size of the cells is printed correctly by the Pixma Pro-100.

Jim, thanks for your help and have a great week!

I have the printer pro100 for 2 weeks. I could make a few nice prints from the impression of Lightroom (5.7) module using my wireless network. I just recently added the "pro printing studio" plugin, but I can't make an impression. Once the plugin starts (after clicking on an image, then on the Options of the plugin, then print studio pro), I got an error message (I translate from the french) "no supported printer has been detected by the software. Connect to a printer that is taken in charge, then install the driver. Pro printing Studio will turn off automatically. »

I got the message, that I am able to print from the module printing from lightroom (wireless).

My computer is an imac Yosemite (10.10.1) running.

  • IPhone volume button doesn't work is not as trigger

    Hello

I was impressed by Lightroom Mobile on my new iPhone 7 more, but everything ended with a major feature missing.
Using the touchscreen for trigger is really awkward, so for years all iOS camera apps allow you to take a picture by pressing the volume button. In this way, you have a completely different handle and more stable on your phone, essentially using it as a regular camera.
For some reason, it's missing in iOS Lightroom. I hope that this will be addressed soon in an update. I'm really looking forward to use Lightroom as my default camera app, now is not ready yet.

In addition, the switch between the scale and telephoto is very slow, with a noticeable pause. On the application of default instant sound camera. Not a deal breaker, but I wonder why this delay happens.

  • Zoom of collage?

Nice day.  I am new to lightroom and who seek to make a collage post on social media sites.  I'm not a professional, just a photo enthusiast.  I found many models for the impression of lightroom for collages tab.  I don't understand how (crop) zoom in on a picture in the collage.  I can preposition the photo by pressing the 'CTRL' key  What I have to crop the photos tab to develop first?  I'm not necessarily reframe my real pictures, just zoom in only a little for the collage.

There seems to be a lot of Web sites that will allow me to create collages for free.  I was looking to do things in lightroom.

    Thank you

    Jason

I don't think it can be done in LR.  You have to crop the photo to effective zoom in the collage.  Please note: cropping of the photo in the LR develop Module is non-destructive, so you are not constantly cropping the real original photo; You can always return to the full original photo at a later date.

  • Epson R1900 and iCC/iCM, profiling... When do you give up?

    I use Windows 7 64-bit (non - SP1) and Lightroom 3.3 with an Epson R1900 printer.

Sorry if it's breath, but I tried a lot of myself and had to break and post it here.

I read a lot of posts already on disabling color management in the printer or LR 3.3. I downloaded all possible profiles of Epson or other places that sound quite logic to help with my tray paper. I understand that my screen might be too light or too dark and lightroom interface itself could even give the impression of a photo is too bright or too dark. I read on shaping iCC twice, first in the software then the printer. I used a calibrator Spyder3 Print SR and Spyder 3 display.

No matter what combination I try, my photos print too dark, well sure, but worse still, the color is really off (plus brightness). I understand also, there are many printers, so it can be hard giving accurate toggles in the options that may not yet exist with those printer.

Now, I'm not nearly as educated as most of you on these issues, so I will ask a few questions (sorry if they seem 'newbish').

First of all, I understand (or am currently under the impression) that Lightroom uses what is called "MelissaRBG or alias"BastardRGB"to print to the screen (?).» If this is true, the iCC-exporter profile should not be MelissaRGB.icc? Now if this is true, shouldn't the host (Win7) look different being set to sRGB for what is in Lightroom? It is not on my system. Yet once if this profile of Melissa is true, export-only Lightroom in MelissaRGB between characters on the screen and what to give .icc profile you have chosen to export in? In other words, are there only a handshake that goes with Melissa.

Secondly, where the host .icc beginning and end. I guess that since Lightroom does not come packed with drivers for each graphics card, Manager of color of the host must pass a matrix of colors for the Lightroom software.

Third, being 2 questions above might be a simplistic uncontrollable users and I don't see what I'm doing wrong, we should just use the basic controls of the printer module? In my case, I get better prints are when I use color printers Manager modules of 'Sharp Epson' with a 10 + 4 to saturation and brightness. Of course, that does not help when I want to print canvas or perhaps other types of paper. However, all the profiles in the world with my Spyder3 Print SR could be correct, but I'll never know because the impressions come out still average.

Try them all and failure make me feel like the guy who's barely qualified to do small rocks of a rock, just give me a hammer. Should I give up and let rip with cursors and keep your eyes closed?

Moreover, it is really very few found easily by search engines that explain how the profiling must be set UP on a computer in specific practice. But yes, there are MANY who want to will guide you through mathematics and the theory of it all, the software simply not special how managing, not even the operating system.

Checking just a few things.  You did all this, and some have been said before, I'm trying just for the complete list:

    • I think you are saying that you have calibrated your screen with Spyder 3.  To check, when you check the profile in the control panel of W7, it will show the profile that you created with Spyder 3 by default for the monitor (if not, something is wrong)
    • I'm not familiar with the Spyder 3 software, but it gives you the possibility to adjust the brightness of the screen?  It should be 100-120 cd/m2.  None.  If you can't put it in the s/w Spyder, try changing the brightness down and recalibration with Spyder.  You can also use the software "Colorimeter HCFR" (http://www.homecinema-fr.com/colorimetre/index_en.php) to measure the profile settings, including brightness.
    • Another control on the brightness: get a piece of white paper for printer and with lighting ambient normal hold it near your monitor when something white showing.  The screen seems much brighter than paper?  If so, it may be too bright.  Modern monitors are much too bright by default.  My HP monitor glow going on 15 / 100 to get 100 cd/m2.
    • When printing from LR, select the box "Print Job" (bottom right in the print module) "profile: SPR1900 Premium Glossy ', or whatever the name of the profile is for the paper you're using (I guess the name, I have a R1800).  That is to say LR to color - eat the printer and it say what profile to use.
    • Click on Page layout... (L, down) and set the type of paper in the Epson dialog.  Click Advanced (I think it's a separate tab in the R1900, it's a button in the main tab on the R1800) and in 'color management' check ICM and (very important) check "(no color correction).  I'm not sure with the R1900, but on the main tab, you may need to ' Mode: custom "and"No. color adjustment"in the drop down menu.  It says that the printer driver:
      • color management is used (so don't mess with colors to make them 'pretty', what she would have done otherwise)
      • color management is done by the application, not the driver (in other words, saying: the pilot to do nothing)
    • The important thing is that the printer color management should be in one place only.  The method above gets done in LR, you can also disable in LR and use the driver, but I recommend the steps above.

If this is all OK, it should work.  Print to the output will never be the same as the screen - they are different physical representations of the image - but the color should be close enough.

You said LR using a form of color space ProPhoto as his workspace.  This isn't a problem.  It is just a convenience for LR and has absolutely no effect on the output.  The only point is that the workspace must be at least as large as the original image color space, the color space of the monitor and the color printer (so it does not limit the color). LR automatically converts the image to:

    • the color space of the monitor to display the images (if you have an appropriate profile for the monitor, which should be done by spyder 3)
    • the space of color printer, you specify when printing, without forgetting the driver as shown above.

  • HP C6280: Lieutenant cyan and impression both on the Diagnostics Page HPC6280 cyan

I was getting reddish color, I'm trying to print black text where there are also a few areas of blue on the page text.  I know that the black cartridge is OK because I can put the printer to print only from the black cartrdige, and it comes out nice and black.  I put this setting back to normal.  So, I go to my tools and print a Diagnostics Page.  It prints 6 blocks from the color cartridge, but something is wrong!  Lt. Cyan print by resemble dark Cyan and prints resembling lieutenant Cyan Cyan!   The cartridges are all correctly inserted.  Also, all the other good color solid up printing block, but the block of color Cyan white lines through it.

I have the drivers from the HP C6200 series since 2009 and are close to the more recent, if not later.

I guess an uninstall of the complete driver and reinstall is in order.  It could not be mechanical, could it?

The attached picture was taken with a flash, I assure you that the Lt Cyan is a deep blue.  Note the white lines on the block of color Cyan.

    Just a follow-up:

After this HP C6280 to a repair shop to printer with high on Yelp ratings, the tech told me that the print head is no longer available (which is true) and that he cannot do a lot with it.  However, he told me he got all the blocks of color print properly, but said that black was spit or something, I never noticed.  Long story short, I'm going to pick it up and he says he will be happy to remove my hands which was nice of him, but I declined his offer and told him that I would use it as a copier and scanner, a printer in B & W.  There are no fees for his attempt to solve the problem, which was nice.

I go home and print the most beautiful photos of brilliant!  Perfect colors. I ask him what he did, maybe just replace the free cartridges (they sometimes do, and why they get high marks).

Repair tech almost got a job perfectly HP C6280 for free!   in any case, I'm glad.  The C6280 cost me more than $350 new 5 years ago, and a rebuild.  Refillable cartridges no more for me. I'm sure that they cause a lot of posts here.

I just bought HP ($49) brand inks.   I think the rechargeable ink cartridges at low cost caused the problem in the first place, when well recently I replaced by HP cartridges in an attempt to solve the problem.

I just installed Mac OS 10.11 (El Capitan) and now can't print from Photoshop CS5.  All other software installed, including 4 of Lightroom, has not printing problems.  Contacted Apple and they said that it is a problem for Adobe.

When you reinstall CS5, you start to 12.0 there's a 12.0.4 update that includes bug fixes.

You need to directly download this update and before you install, go into osx security & privacy > general tab and temporarily allow app installs anywhere.
