Improve the resolution of Image of USB camera in LabVIEW

Hello:

I am currently working on taking images in LabVIEW using a Logitech HD Pro Webcam C910 USB camera. I have attached the simple VI that I use. For some reason, LabVIEW is no longer able to take a picture of resolution 640 x 480 with this device. However, its capabilities are well beyond that. According to me, it can reach a resolution of image fixed of 1920 x 1080. How can I get LabVIEW to snap a picture at 1920 x 1080 with this device? I have attached a jpg of the VI.

Thank you in advance,

Brad

Brad,

IMAQdx functions will not displayed either because you have not installed IMAQdx or they are not allowed. Both come on the setup of the Acquisition of the Vision, but are separate elements that can be enabled/disabled during installation. If you use the Vision Development Module, you should have a license to activate the IMAQdx as well. Check with the License Manager AND verify that it is authorized.

You'll really like using IMAQdx much better than IMAQ USB functions. There are many more features supported and it is fully supported in all software OR, as measurement and Automation Explorer. You can configure your camera inside MAX settings and then save and use them in LabVIEW automatically.

    But for those who have an old CRT monitor, this table is empty.
    You must use any resolution you prefer.

    And another point: the table could be correct for native resolutions

  • How to improve the FLIR A315 Image similar to what I can do in GIMP?

    I have a problem of detection of defective hot mastic with VBAI injections and a camera FLIR A315.  While I can identify vulnerabilities of large size injection, small defects are not detectable, in large part because of my inability to improve the image in a way that would allow me to detect the smallest mistakes.  I tried using the tools provided by the Vision Assistant, but have not been successful success, partly because of my lack of experience with the software and in part because the Vision Assistant freezes on me on a fairly regular basis and slows my progress (which is quite frustrating and boring).

    I could save a few recorded images that acquires it camera FLIR A315 (using the VBAI program I created) and attached them to this post on the forum so you can see what I'm working with.

    I've been able to post 3 of 4 images in attachments to this post, please see more of this in the response I want to add...

    You need LabVIEW to create vi you can then call with step vi runLV.

    You will not be able to call a dll or code C/C++ from VBAI.

  • Detect the resolution of image

    Is there a way to tell the resolution (dpi) of images online (e.g. on Wikipedia)?  "See Image Info" only gives the number of pixels and the size of the file.

    You are at the first stage for the image resolution & xp, go to run, type: DXDIAG

    Run audio and video tests, Direct X... In addition, xp has a download, called resolution of the image,

  • How can I improve the resolution of the text in the interactions?

    By making the interaction in publications, I noticed that the resolution of the text is less. I want to know how to solve this problem.

    What are the interactive elements? If you scroll image make sure to set your folio version v24 or later, the article in PDF format and the value of the render method (in the overlay Panel) to the vector.

    If you use buttons, you should not put the text in buttons. Instead let the text as text only and draw a transparent top button.

  • Cannot use the NOR-IMAQdx with 3 USB camera driver

    I have a system WIN7 64-bit I would use with two USB 3 Vision cameras (both are 24UJ003 from The Imaging Source DFK), which works very well with the software IC software. The camera can be opened with IC software but will be visible only with a cadence of 1fps, any size I put it.

    I can open them able and Automation Explorer, but they do not appear under NOR-IMAQdx in the tree.  When I click on the software in MAX tree below, NOR-IMAQdx revealed as being installed (14.5). The camera (and OR) instructions say change the camera driver to that found in C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\NI - IMAQdx\Staging\NI USB3 Vision, but my driver is located in C:\Program Files (x 86) \National Instruments\NI - IMAQdx\Staging\NI USB3 Vision.

    Attempts to install the driver displays the following message is displayed:

    "The folder you specified contains a compatible software driver for your device.  If the folder contains a driver, make sure that it is designed to work with Windows for x 64 systems".

    This makes it sound like the driver is in the wrong place or it does not for a 64 bit OS.  Any advice on how to switch them TIS drivers to drivers OR-IMAQdx and also how increase the pace of the second camera would be very much appreciated.

    I tried to connect the cameras individually, and they both have the same performance as when they are connected together (we have good pace, and the other has only 1 fps).

    Are you sure that the camera is Vision compatible USB3? Nothing that I do not see in the marketing material says it is compatible. Is it possible you need a firmware update to make it compatible?

    The installer put IMAQdx driver in the space provided for an x 64 system and he always puts the number of correct bits of the driver down to the system that you have installed. My hunch is that the camera is not to expose a USB3 Vision interface for the driver to bind.

  • How to get the resolution linked image (in PPP/DPI) in Indesign CC2014?

    Hi all

    Is it possible to get the image linked in PPP/DPI resolution? I tried it by the following code snippet, but it always returns the value, 72 dpi.

    IImageCache * imageCache = nil;

    imageCache is Utils < ILinksUIUtils > ()-> QueryThumbnailForLink (iLink, iLinkResource);.

    if(!imageCache)

    continue;

    PMReal iResolution = imageCache-> GetResolution();

    Thanks in advance.

    I use the IImageAttributes::kPMTagXResolution or IEPSAttributes::GetTargetRes tag.

  • MAX cannot find two usb cameras at the same time

    Hello

    I want to use two cameras usb (Thorlabs DCC 1545 M) in NOR-IMAQdx in Labview, but it cannot find a single camera (the one plugged earlier), and also a single camera is shown in MAX. Both cameras working in the manufacturer's software, and if I unplug the 1 unit, the 2nd will be displayed in MAX after a refresh.

    I found that one camera is supported for each USB hub in Labview, and all USB ports in this computer correspond to a same hub online. I don't know if this is causing the problem.

    In fact, I need to take the picture in both cameras at the same time, a switch programmed between the two cameras will work for me.

    Any suggestion and comment will be appreciated.

    Hello Hosni,

    According to this link, you can acquire from multiple USB cameras simultaneously.  The limitation is on the manufacturer and how they interface with the bus of DirectShow.  When you use two cameras of the same make and model, it sometimes happens that not enough information is not IMAQdx to distinguish between the two cameras.  When you switch to MAX cameras, they come as different cameras, or they appear actually virtually the same?

    Since you said switching between them might work, I found an example that does just that.  Just make sure you give a name to each camera single camera.  I hope this will be useful for you.

    I use USB cameras with labview 2013, and I can acquire images in the MAX and in the Acquisition of mink (express) settings, but when I run the VI, always appear the same error as shown in the Image below.

    -J' checked the correct versions of my software, IMAQ, IMAQdx, VDM 2013 IMAQ of e/s

    -J' I also make sure I had all the updated device drivers.

    -I'm using IMAQdx LKD schema and examples, getting the same error uu

    Help, please!

    Any suggestions would be very helpful.

    If it works in the pop up app Express VI and inside MAX (the two 32-bit applications), then I guess it will work in 32-bit LabVIEW. We wonder why it does not work in 64-bit LabVIEW, but these are the drivers of the device and other pieces of infrastructure/DirectShow Windows.
