Improved administration server

I just installed the software later and taking on my server administration and since (the last 5 hours) all my servers appear as question marks.

I ran all the troubleshooting.  They perfectly, without error, however, depending on the device, always with the grey question marks.  The SNMP settings are correct on all my servers.  The previous version had run very well for some time, no communication problem with network servers.

I can't understand!

Kind regards

  • TMS and improved security server TCS

    Hey there everyone!

On the Tandberg Web site, there is a page that contains updates for the OS that have been tested for use with the administration server and content server security.  However, the last update was 9/2010.  Is there a comparable download page here on the Cisco site, with versions I hope more up-to-date?  I have looked, but could not find.

    Thank you!

I asked one of the ancient engineers TANDBERG, who is now with Cisco, just on this subject, and he indicated that he had used the Windows Update normak, even for the TCS, feature and if there is a problem, he would just roll back this particular update.

I did exactly that with our TMS server and have not had a problem yet.

The second generation servers TCS are not devices and doesn't look anything like first generation servers, so I'll start doing the same thing with the TCS as soon as the remaining 2 were replaced by more recent, industrial research material.

Cisco had a contract to upgrade in place for some time, maybe even the case, that they are eager to get rid of the old boxes of TANDBERG TCS - well, it's the impression that I myself still.

I want to improve my server database Oracle 10 g 10.2.0.4, node 2 CARS on OS: release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 5.3 (Tikanga)-version 2.6.18 kernel - 2.6.18 - 402.el5 to 128.el5.  This core does support my current Version of 10.2.0.4 or do I need to apply patches on the binary database after upgrading the kernel?

    Hello

    It should work without problem.

According to the following document, you should have the kernel version 2.6.18 - 8 or higher.

Oracle Database (RDBMS) under Unix AIX, HP - UX, Linux, Mac OS X, Solaris, Tru64 Unix operating system Installation and Configuration requirements checklist (8.0.5 to 11.2) (Doc ID 169706.1)

  • Administration server and the servers managed (WebLogic Server).

    Hello

What are Server Administration and managed servers , I saw these words as I read the installation guide for WebLogic server,

but I don't know what they are?

I saw them while I was reading on the Node manager that allows me to start the above mentioned.

-J' installs the WebLogic to develop applications with oracle reports and forms services.

1 - do I need a node Manager, Administration Server or managed servers?

    2. is the Manager nodes, Server Administration or servers managed as EnterPrise data control manager ?

    Thank you very much

Answers to most of your questions WLS lie in WLS documentation:

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E23943_01/Web.1111/e13752/TOC.htm

However, a simple answer to your questions could be summed up as follows.

If you are familiar with older versions of application server version 10, which include OC4J as its Java container, as a managed WLS server is basically the same thing.  In the context of WLS, a managed server is responsible for hosting java applications on the server side.  For example, Oracle Forms Servlet.  The WLS management server is actually a java application deployed on a managed server.  So, really, the "Admin" server is a kind of "Managed Server".  In a typical installation of forms/States, you will find that at least three 3 managed servers are created automatically for you:

    • Server Admin
    • WLS_FORMS
    • WLS_REPORTS

Node Manager is a separate process that is used to allow the two directors of the WLS environment such as command line allowing the administrator of the server to communicate with other servers managed, local or remote.

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E25178_01/Web.1111/e13740/overview.htm

Then, for simply "run" apply (forms, for example), all you need is the managed server that hosts the forms Servlet.  However, if you want to change the configuration via a web interface, you must also run the administration server (and Node Manager).

All these components are much more complex than what I've described here.  I would recommend to consider the documentation if you are interested in learning about them.  That said, the best way to really learn about them likely will be to install the product and start using it.

  • Essbase Rapid Deployment - 11.1.2.3 - unable to connect to the administration server

    People,

I downloaded the files required for Essbase and installed with rapid deployment. The installation was successful, and during installation, it is only requested a deployment password.

Now, I'm trying to connect to the server using the Essbase administration console.

    That's how I'm doing:

Start > > Oracle EPM System > > Essbase > > Essbase Administration Service > > start the Administration Console Services

This opens the console, however, when I try to provide the following as the connection information:

The admin server: name my PC

Username: admin (when configuring any username as requested)

    Password: password deployment

I get a "cannot connect to the Administration Server.

Oracle services seem to work very well in "Services.msc".

I also tried to start services using "C:\Oracle\user_projects\epmsystem1\bin\startEPMServer.bat". I get this message:

  • Creating a domain with the administration server on a remote computer

    Hello

I do not understand how to create the following architecture:

physical machine #1: installation of weblogic server = > for the administration server
physical machine #2: installation of weblogic server + OSB = > for the osb server 1
physical machine #3: install the weblogic Server + OSB = > intended to be the server of the osb 2.

If I create my machine field #1 I don't see any options of the OSB in the product list (I tried to copy all the pots in the directory of models of the installation of the OSB on machine #2, but it doesn't seem to work) so I can't create a domain for my server osb.
If I create my #2 machine field, I see all the options of the OSB in the product list and I can create my domain but I can't make a pack / unpack the machine #1 because I have an error message so I don't know how do to transfer my domain name to the #1 the machine and then start the server administration here.

All of the documentation I find examples with adminserver running on the same physical computer as osb 1.

Could someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks a lot for your help
    Emilien

    Hello Emilien,.

You must install the same products on 3 servers for this to work.

It also means that you need an additional license for the #1 server, so that may be an expensive route for :-)

Same problem discussed in the following Note of Oracle:

WLSTException: Error occurred when executing connect (Doc ID 1372757.1)

    CAUSE

JDK 6.0 was used to run WLST that connected to an instance of WebLogic Server 10 running on JDK 5.0.

In JDK 5.0, by default, - Dsun.lang.ClassLoader.allowArraySyntax is set to false, so that in the JDK 6.0 - default Dsun.lang.ClassLoader.allowArraySyntax is set to true. Because of the incompatibility, a mistake of demarshalling of steam that's happened.

    SOLUTION

To implement the solution, please run one of the following steps:

Use the same version of JDK to run WLST than that on which the WLS instance runs.

    OR

Ensure that the setting JDK - Dsun.lang.ClassLoader.allowArraySyntax used for WLST matches the parameter even used by the JDK that is running the instance of WLS. For example, set - Dsun.lang.ClassLoader.allowArraySyntax = true when executing WLST to connect to an instance of WLS running JDK 5 If WLST runs with JDK 6.

    Hi all

I'm trying to deploy an application to the administrator of the server using WLST and I had followed steps below.

    (1) I ran setDomainEnv.cmd

    It was performed without error.

    (2) connect to the Server Admin

    Connect ('USERNAME', 'PASSWORD', ' t3: / / localhost:7001', adminServerName = "AdminServer")

    (3) to deploy the application

deploy ('benefits', 'C:\Users\suhas\Desktop\benefits.war' target = 'AdminServer')

You can use the script here

Automation of the deployment of the application on Oracle Weblogic Server

Use a backslash instead of the forward slash... and type it instead of copy paste...

  • EAS - error: "connection impossible Administration Server.

    Hi all

I am very new to EMP

I installed EMP 11.1.2.2 with web application deployed to managing server

    OS: windows Server2008

    database: sql server

When I try to connect to the console of Regional service, it gives me error

Could not connect to Server Administration

    any idea?

If it has been deployed to a single managed server on the default port, then you will need to add the server in the Regional service console as servername:9000

    See you soon
