In a 8530 verizon blackBerry Smartphones sim card?

Hello

Can I put a sim card in a verizon 8530?

If so, how is this done?  Is the card placed on the piece of metal under the battery and put the battery on card_

Thank you

There is no location for SIM card on a 8530, it does not use a SIM card.

The 8530 is a CDMA network device only = no need of SIM card.

Hi @Jenny7733! Welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums!

You will need to perform an erasure of security on the device first before you can connect with a new BlackBerry ID credentials Please see: How to delete all data and applications from the smart phone BlackBerry with the optio security wipe...

Don't forget to make a backup because it will erase all your data. Good luck!

  • Change of blackBerry Smartphones SIM card during a trip overseas

I have the BB Bold 9700 on plan with Optus (in Australia). I wonder if I'm going on vacation to the Viet Nam, how can I use overthere Blackberry while I'm not in the area of detection Optus. Can I buy a prepaid SIM in the Viet Nam with a data package to use with my BBerry?

    Thank you

    Hello!

You need two things to be able to use your BB in another country than the one where you have your cell phone plan:

1 - your BB must be unlocked, so that it accepts a SIM card from any carrier, not just the one that you have a contract with at home.

2 - your BB must use / have at least one of the GSM bands same those of the carrier you choose to go with the uses (whether at home or abroad).

    Hope that helps.

    See you soon!

How to install the SIM card on my bb curve 9320?

In the Image below, the SIM card is red. Insert as indicated.

  • BlackBerry smartphones SIM card not valid

I have a storm 9530 on VZW, latest official OS. A bit ago I got an error SIM card at random, and now I see 'No. valid SIM Card' in the advanced options. I tried to remove/replace, without change. I know that in the United States the card is not actually "used", but I would still like to know why her broke.

    Any ideas?

I read on one of the post here on the screen click does not not in some places.  The "do it yourself difficulty" was to loosen the screws of the "two" #5 located couple at the back under the door (a have a red sticker with a white stripe on her) 1/4 turn or so.» I tried this and in the process he loosened the small metal plate that keeps the SIM CARD in place too. So I had all of a sudden the error SIM CARD also. I tighten the screws of couple next to the SIM CARD, a 1/8 turn and she was reading the SIM CARD again... If your feeling brave, you can try turning the screw JUST a little... 1/8 turn perhaps and see if it locked it some.

If not feeling brave bring it to phone tech and request them also try this... If it works, it's better then to replace the phone and go through reinstalling all your contacts apps. and just plain ol ' hassle of waiting on a new phone. I used a glass with little eye Flathead screwdriver that fit just right if you do not have the driver of torture of good size...

P.S by loosening the screws not fixed my problem by clicking on... I just can I have loosened them too and I went only to 1/4 turn... Decline of the Sim Card facing downwards by a 1/8... fixed .all works fine now

  • Card Sim Verizon blackBerry Smartphones

I have read that remove the Sim Card can clear up some blocking and reduce pulling the battery. Im running OS 4.7.0.109.  That I have no intention of leaving the United States is that true?  Can I remove it?

You can certainly delete it.  I have not had mine since the day 1.  Just keep a very convenient place where you don't end up needing at some point in the future.

  • BlackBerry BB Storm 9530 Smartphones - SIM card to use in Ireland

Hi, I have a Storm 9530 in large part unused for several years. I had Verizon.  Can I consider in Ireland and get a SIM card it for use as a mobile phone only to make calls to the Ireland and receive calls from the Ireland and the United States, also?  (I'll take an iPhone, using for the WiFi only).  I have to clear this with Verizon?

Hello and welcome to the community!

There are several factors to consider... because you intend to use a local SIM card, then roaming does not apply (in other words, you don't need 'Permission' VZW).

First of all, your device must be unlocked to the Association so that it can run on any other carrier at all... refer:

Second, you must be sure that the radio technologies and frequencies that supports your device are compatible with all other networks of carriers that you want to use operated with. You can search for your device here features:

But you have to look on the Internet about what the carriers available in the places you want to work with.

Since you intend to only level of voice services, there is no problem with any BB exclusive service requirements... which would introduce a completely separate level of complexity, but it should before satisfaction of the above anyway.

Good luck and let us know!

  • Coping of Smartphones blackBerry on sim card contacts

Hi, I just bought the BB 8310 curve and I currently have all of my contacts on the phone's memory, and I want to transfer them to the SIM... is it possible and if yes, how can I do this.

    Thank you.

There is no way of really good to do. The only way to do is a number at a time. There is no way block to do. Your best bet is to use BlackBerry Desktop Manager and create a backup of your device.

If you really want the contacts on the SIM card:

    1. Open a contact in your address book.
    2. Scroll to a phone number.
    3. Press the menu button, and then select copy to SIM Phone Book.
    4. Repeat for each phone number. If you have multiple numbers for a particular contact included!

  • Pin code of blackBerry Z10 Sim Card required daily

My required daily BBZ10 my sim card pin code, what should I do to prevent this?

I'm not reachable when I'm on call to work during the night because of this.

Thanks a lot for some feedback

    Gino

    Hi Ginodesoomer,

    Welcome to the support community!

Looks like you have security enabled on your SIM card. You can disable this option to avoid to be invited for the PIN. Please see this article for more information. "" Enter PIN"is displayed when the BlackBerry smartphone is locked" KB18647

You can disable this on your BlackBerry Z10 smartphone in settings > privacy and security > SIM card > SIM Lock card PIN.

Please let me know if that helps.

Hello I bought a blackberry 9530 Internet. This phone is Verizon brand. I am able to make and receive calls using my sim card 3, but there is no option to use wireless for example? This phone does support wifi or internet? If yes how do I activate them? Thanks in advance.

No, the 9530 is not a WiFi device. I'm sorry.

With the right plan for BlackBerry data on your mobile account, you'll be fine.
