  I'm puzzled. You have posted in 9700 model section and does not state, that you had a 9000, then it was quite obvious that you have a 9700.

  But since you now that you have a 9000 "BOLD", the SIM card is insertedwith a press hard in the unit. Yes, you might think that you're going to push too hard.

  9000 SIM card is inserted in the side of the unit, and you don't have to press hard, Gold contacts facing the front.

  If you go to Options | Advanced options | SIM card, does show the phone number?

  Also in this screen, if you click on the menu button go in edit SIM phone number and the phone number of the device type. If the number is not always appear try to reset the device by removing the battery for a minute and replace it.

  I read on one of the post here on the screen click does not not in some places.  The "do it yourself difficulty" was to loosen the screws of the "two" #5 located couple at the back under the door (a have a red sticker with a white stripe on her) 1/4 turn or so.» I tried this and in the process he loosened the small metal plate that keeps the SIM CARD in place too.   If not feeling brave bring it to phone tech and request them also try this... If it works, it's better then to replace the phone and go through reinstalling all your contacts apps. and just plain ol ' hassle of waiting on a new phone. I used a glass with little eye Flathead screwdriver that fit just right if you do not have the driver of torture of good size...

  P.S by loosening the screws not fixed my problem by clicking on... I just can I have loosened them too and I went only to 1/4 turn... Decline of the Sim Card facing downwards by a 1/8... fixed .all works fine now

  I just bought a microSD 16 GB for my Blackberry "BOLD" and the phone itself is concerned, it works very well. I am able to navigate the map using my phone and he wrote that a multimedia card is present.

  The problem I have is with the Desktop Manager of "Media Manager". I want to be able to transfer/encode music and videos on my new media card, but it does not appear in the list. I tried upgrading to the latest version (4.7) and still nothing. The only thing that appears in the "My devices" list is the built-in 1 GB memory of the device.

  I called Rogers for technical support, but they do not support the Media Manager.

• BlackBerry Smartphones Media Manager does not recognize the Media card

  Installed the media 2G card.  Card is able to format and presents itself as 1.8 GB.  With mass storage, office software (Roxio media manager) does not show - memory card from the device.  In mass storage mode (which, according to the manual means the acts of the device as a USB storage device), PC sees the device, but does not not the files copied to it.  Has spent about 2 hours with the technical support of Verizon... they are puzzled.

  I found a workaround for the music files on the card.  I removed from the Blackberry and installed in an SD adapter full-size and there in a USB key with a SD slot.  My computer has seen the media card (embedded in the USB device) and I flew over songs in the repertoire of music on the media card, put it back into my phone and viola... the music file was there!

• BlackBerry Smartphones my PC does NOT recognize my Blackberry Curve 8330 at all!

  I'm at the end of the roll, trying to figure out this question. My Blackberry Curve 8330 just will be not recognized my Vista PC running at all.

  Here's what I know:

  -My phone was purchased new may 9. It's the Verizon service, so what matters.

  -My phone has a microSD inside memory card.

  -(Home and car chargers) USB charge cords work to charge my phone. I see the icon taken directly to the left of the battery and it stays there until I have unplug the unit.

  -I tried different USB cords to connect my phone to the PC and nothing works. When I plug in, the phone displays the icon card very briefly and then disappears. Nothing appears in the device for the USB slots Manager, either.

  -All USB slots are the same, even those at the back of the computer.

  -Other USB devices (iPod, for example) work very well.

  I uninstalled Desktop Manager and installed the USB/Modem drivers (as it says). Those that I have used is worm. 4.7. still nothing. I restarted the computer and still nothing. This solved nothing. (Even used such 4.5 recommended in this thread, and it does not, either.)

  What exactly should I do to get my PC recognise the Blackberry? I can't do some of the things I want to do until this issue is resolved. Because the USB port works to load, then I think that it must be my computer, but where the conflict is and how to fix it, I don't know.

  Believe it or not, this problem has been resolved by the simplest of ways - simple up to what I feel embarrassed!

  Know how they say when he's broke to book on I have and it works? Well I hate to be energetic on electronics, but I hit just the USB cable in the port of the BB curve. Then it started working like a charm.

  All that stress and all I had to do was show some muscle.

  After that it would not recognize the device in Windows as a mass storage device. This has been fixed by the backup of the memory card on the PC to save my pictures then insert into the BB and put in shape.   This morning I look a some photos on my BlackBerry Pearl 8130 (carrier Verizon) and all of a sudden, when trackballing on a thumbnail and trying to open the photo, it just sort of frozen. She would not open the photo.  After a few seconds, the best hypothesis, I would say that 30 or less, it says "Media Card can not be Read. I went to the Options > Media Card and checked all my settings.

  Enable Auto-> guest

  I put the MicroSD card in the card and my laptop and he could read all the files correctly. I put on my C: drive and formatted the card in the phone. • BlackBerry Smartphones windows 7 does not recognize the device

  I was connected my 8330 for a desktop XP for a long time.  The sw of the device is v4.5.0.175.  I recently got a new Lenovo T410 laptop, running Windows 7.  I downloaded the software (version 5.0.1) DM and checked my camera SW is updated, but the laptop is still not recognize that the device is connected (via USB).  I tried all ports USB on the laptop and also followed all the steps detailed in KB13146, with no luck.  I find nothing in any of the forums that refer to Windows 7.  Can anyone help solve this problem?

  In addition, make sure you use only the root USB ports... without hubs (sometimes the front-end ports are hubs... use a rear USB port). And don't forget to try to disable the USB power management in the configuration of your system (Device Manager).

  My apologies in advance if this is redundant - there is no way to be sure that if you have already seen and tried these. I can attest that DTM does not indeed a BB under Win7... mine is exactly so.

  Well, I fixed it! This problem occurs mainly when I turn on data services. Otherwise, it works fine, after that I change the SIM card with another.
  As soon as I turn the "Data Services" on WE, USSD codes do not respond. A call is made by the BB device rather than request a response from the network.

  There is no location for SIM card on a 8530, it does not use a SIM card.

  The 8530 is a CDMA network device only = no need of SIM card.
