In and Out point question of priority

Does anyone know how to do the In and points marked on the chronology to supersede those of the source?

Hi Neil,

You are right. I have expressed incorrectly. What I meant was how can I do first ignore the out point in the source and prioritize my inputs/outputs on the timeline. When I've been editing for some time and source clips have old marks on them I don't want to remove the points.

I found the solution. In preferences, you click on the dialog and Fit Clip... "Works a treat.

As a note, you have actually no I/O points in the source, you can change in where you parked as long as you have marks on the timeline.

  • 'In' and 'out' points while in the media browser (CS6)

I saw a video about the PR - CS6, while displaying a clip in media browser (click and play, not the maquis of score), you can mark in and out points using 'I' and 'o' on the keyboard.

The orange active zone will start and stop when selected.  'I' and 'o' are ignored when I try.  The whole clip is active (all the orange) without worrying.  'I' and 'o' work fine if I download the clip in the source monitor.

    Which is a setting somewhere?

You can set In/Out points until a clip imported, so not in the media browser.  What you saw were clips in a bin in icon mode.

  • Where the of can see the in and out point time?

I'm combining a lot of extracts from different movies into one and because sound levels are different in each clip, I extracted the audio clips, mp3gain applied to them and them inserted in the calendar below the corresponding video clip. Of course, I would first of all the points of entry and these audio clips on the same values as the video, but I don't know an easy way to see the in and out point time.

If I double click on the video (i.e. open it int the preview window) I can scrub the timeline and see where the point is in, but is not very accurate, and I wish that were true.

As well, any of this just ask: how to find exactly in/point of a clip in the timeline to exit?

For what you are wanting to do, I highly recommend using Audio Mixer. This is great to do exactly what you want and will be 'automate' changes via track keyframes.

I do this as on the process of the latest in my editing, because I want to make sure I have all my game cuts. In fact, any Audio work is at the end of my workflow. Once my changes are visually where and how I want them, I launch Audio Mixer. If I have several tracks Audio, such as Narration and soundtrack, I cut these and start "riding gain", or "soil" that I play the movie and listen very carefully with good headphones. As the movie plays, I adjust the Gain to exactly what I want for this entire Audio track. Because PE sets keyframes on the Audio track, you can go back and basically re-save your changes in a particular area. It is much simpler in PE, as Audio Mixer of PrPro, while the latter allows more "power". When I finished my Track dialogue, I leave on as reference and then reactivate my storytelling, adapting it properly. Finally, I will leave these two and address the same way soundtrack. Once this is done, you can then play with the Audio Mixer Panel open all and look at the 'pot' for Gain moves automatically in each Audio track.

The main reason for doing this the last stage of the workflow of editing is because key frames are on the Audio track (s) and NOT on Clips. If you go to edit the Clips, changing their duration, etc., you need to delete your key frames of the track and start over, or adjustments will be more correct.

It's basically how it's done in Hollywood.

Good luck and don't forget a good pair of headphones to really listen carefully. I do not work with a large number of meter settings, other than look for cutting, but rather listen to the piece and my changes.

  • I & O in and out point selection glitch...

    Hello

Have a bit of a nightmare with a strange parasite that has barely begun to happen with the first CS6.

(I don't know if it is relevant, I now Pr CC - but always with CS6 on some client projects. And this has only started to install afer CC happening)

In any case... Whenever I select a point ' in / out ' in the control panel monitor source - the grey below slider bar is cropping in the source footage. To be clear, I mean when you select the source monitor and press on + or - to zoom in on part of your layer source footage and the gray bar reduced in size.

Then, when I am coming down with bits of footage of a shooting, it keeps zooming in on this scroll bar. It's driving me crazy that I have to keep zooming after every time I make a choice!

Incidentally, it happens when I click on the pattern selection button in the source monitor and not only when you use the I & O hot keys.

Can someone please tell me what's happening, as it is by my edit a nightmare!

    Thanks in advance!

  • SkillBuilders modal and Page point question of value

    Hello

I created a version simplified a problem, I am trying to understand on http://apex.oracle.com (it happens on the two Apex 4.1 and 4.2).

    Workspace: EDIAZJORGE

    User name: TEST

    Password: test123

    Application: 2188

    Page: 1

I have a field of date and a button that opens a modal page; When the date is changed, a dynamic action is triggered to assign a URL on an element hidden with the new date, for example f? p = 2188:2:105346728385780:P2_DISPLAY:21 - Aug-14

Whenever the button is pressed, it will open the modal page and display the value of P2_DISPLAY.

The dynamic action that opens the modal page has a defined static URL like & P1_URL.

My confusion is that when I change the date, I can see on Session State and HTML P1_URL organizes the correct URL with the new date; However, when I click on the button to open the modal, it displays the value of the page when was initially loaded. For example:

    • If the page load with 21/08/2014, no matter how many times I change the date, it will always show 21/08/2014.
    • If I change the value at 31/07/2014 and refresh the page, then it will show the 31/07/2014 no matter how many times I change the date.

    Two questions:

    1. When the plug-in receives the value of (the Session State and the input HTML to P1_URL element have the correct date)?
    2. How can I fix without having to submit the page?

    Thank you

    Erick

I am happy that it worked Erick. I didn't know if I explained.

As for the suggestion of 2...

If you run the page, as it is now (at least in a recent version I watched) you will see that when you changed the Date you can see that P1_DATE is defined in the session.

It's b/c you have a dynamic action that works PL/SQL and declares the value of P1_DATE. So, instead of setting the value P2_DISPLAY of the session in the URL, you can use this P1_DATE session state that is set when this is handled via Ajax.

If you were to change the action that affects your url "f?" p = & APP_ID.: 2: & APP_SESSION. "(or just use it as a static URL in the plugin) then changed P2_DISPLAY to have a value based on the value of P1_DATE it should work.

  • Set the in and out Points of Composition

    Hello

I'm sure that it's simple, but a new look at CS6 threw me!

Say I created a publication named "MasterComp", which consists of several layers of images. I now want to put 100 to 300 of the MasterComp executives in a new composition named Comp01, how can I do this?

I used simply double-click MasterComp in the project Panel, and then in the preview window set time to 100 using the timeline and click the button "to the Point". I repeat this to set the "Point" and then drag the palette of projects MasterComp in my Comp01 Panel.

It seems there no chronology in CS6 when previewing a composition as well as the associated ability to set the point of entry/exit.

    Any guidance would be helpful.

    Chris

    Hello Todd

I finally solved. I simply need to drag my MasterComp in Comp01 and then alt + double click on MasterComp to get a glimpse of the layer, or right click and select open a layer. Now I can define entry points and.

  • By selecting an element in and out point

I did some searching for this on this forum and go empty.  I can't find any mention of it either in keyboard shortcuts.

What is the keyboard shortcut when a clip is selected in the timeline panel to set the timeline s/points to the item in the entry/exit points.  I used to use it all the time, but with the first one, I can't find the nomenclature. In other editors, it is usually labeled "select outside" when they Park on a component in the Assembly.

    DRM for any idea.

  • simple question and Multi point question

    Hello

We have a publication which is published every 3 weeks. (17 times per year)  If anyone knows what kind of version of the app, we should use?

    Multi-Folio

    Integrated unique Edition App

    Multi-Folio with itunes subscription

any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Ryan.

You definitely want one of the variants of the multi-folio. As you publish all the 3 weeks is probably a good idea to offer an iTunes subscription, it's a great way for customers to purchase access to your questions. We see the vast majority of magazine revenue came from subscription in iTunes purchases, not single issue purchases.

  • Batch conversion clips cut with a razor instead of in and out of the points. How?

I cut a lot of clips on a large file with the razor instead of marking in and out points, and now I want to batch convert. How?

    Hi, AK,

You can do it in first Pro CC, but not before. Do drag the clips to the timeline in a locker and then export.

    Thank you

  • New problem/bug when I put in and out of the points on a clip. Auto zoom unwanted in clip timeline.

Game clips for log and set the scenes and out points I'll use later.  Something has changed with the new update and I think it's a bug.  When I hit the I and the keys O to set points on a clip before you drag the sequence, he zoomed in on the scenario of the clip.  I don't see the time line full clip unless I have to zoom out which is a pain at the time and repeatedly.  How can I get this back to how it was before?  It did not used to zoom in and out, it just marked your entry and exit point as he played leaving unchanged clip timeline.

I use windows 7 with first Pro CC

    Hello

Thanks for your post. I think you are using Premiere pro CS6 as the project option is included in the file menu and in the video there is an option of the project available and visible. Please update your CS6 with 6.0.5 last updated and the problem will be corrected. The link is provided below. Please update once the issue is resolved.

  • Stretch script for time so layer out-point is set at the time of model determined.

    Hello world!

After doing some reading on the documentation and thinking through this problem, I thought I would ask some advice.  I'm curious to know if it is possible with ExtendScript, temporal layer such as its land to outpoint s on a point determined in the timeline panel.  I see that we set the value of a layer .stretch property, but I guess I wan to know if there is a way of thinking that this percentage is based on where I want the layer .outPoint meet.

Let's say I have a layer including inPoint starts at 0 and out-point ends at 5.  Now, let's say I want to stretch the negative layer so the out-point ends at 3.25.  What is the best way to determine the stretch value for the layer?

    Thank you
    Arie

I guess it depends on how general you need, but for the situation you described, perhaps like this:

    var layer = app.project.activeItem.layer (1);

    var d = layer.outPoint - layer.inPoint;

    Layer.Stretch = (3.5/d) * 100;

  • the value entry and exit points at start and end of the clip

Hi all, I am new to first having already used Avid and FCP. One that allows you to set both and out points according to both the beginning and the end of the clip is a key that I can't locate. that is, when I want to put the whole clip in my sequence or lift a clip of my sequence help tip. I know there are other ways to do these things, but I want to stick to the way I'm used to.

    Thank you

If I had to do... I would not put any points and just use Insert / Overlay or extract / shortcuts lift.

They all need choosing the clip or the window anyway.

  • Question about the reduction of noise/hiss & fade in and out

Hello I am new to hearing. I use Audition CS5.5. I was wondering how I can remove the "whistling" singing (whenever the words with "s" or "EC" are sung as "silence" or "stones"). I have a multitrack project open and I have the vocal track selected, but the function "hiss reduction" Effects-> noise reduction/restoration is gray. Similarly, "noise reduction" and "capture point noise" is also grayed out (even if I have a section of the track selected with the time selection tool). Why are these unusable?

Another question is how can I add fade in/out effects in multitrack view? I know that I can draw lines for the fade in and out while a single track is selected, but I always like to use multitrack view, while working so that I could easily move the vocals to match the music.

    Thank you.

Noise reduction is an effect that only works in Edit/Waveform mode.  It doesn't have multitrack real-time.

However what you're saying, your problem is the sibilance not "whistling" anyway.  Hiss reduction is there to get a constant background hissing like a pre amp out in noisy mic.  You may do better by using what is called a De-Esser which you find in the FFT filter under filters and EQ or compressor multiband in the effects of Amplitude and Compression.  I must be a bit vague because I've never bothered with CS5.5 in order to remember here is that it was these effects.

On your other question, you have "volume envelopes" in multitrack view and can 'draw lines' it too.  If you do not get them, go to the view menu and make sure that "Show Clip Volume envelopes" is checked.

  • Why use ins and out of the points for the clips?

    Hello

I use PPCS3 and never understood the need for the ins and points for the clips.

Always just, I took my clip (no matter how long or short) and he parried on the chronology of the sequence.

Is this just another method or y at - it something I'm completely missing when it comes to the ins and outs?

I guess it depends on what you are used to doing.

Any guidance here on where the ins and outs made a big difference would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Simon

    Simon,

You are using and the Points on the instances of your footage on the Timeline. You're just doing it on the timeline, instead of in the Source monitor. It's a matter of how you want to work. PrPro offers many ways to do different operations. We could also use the monitor fitting to do this, if that's how they want to.

Good luck and we hope this helps,

    Hunt
