  I have a transition effect made up of several layers, I want to use several times in my project. I want to make more than one "module" in precomping, then simply copying this model to where I need my transition to occur. But the effects must have access to the main sequence of my project (I use cards to travel out of this effect). Is it possible to use the channels together, or something similar, to look outside of my transition precomp, to enter my main project/images RGB data?

  In addition, it is entirely possible that I'm on another simple solution please do not hesitate to assert that instead

  No, this is not possible. You need to actually duplicate the model of transition and Exchange on the front comps.

• How to make a loop made up of images in another comp?

  I rotoscoped an object in a montage video, composed before she and added to another composition, with the intention of putting in a loop. However, I am unable to loop the demo, get the error "this property has no keyframes.

  Copy and paste the shadow layer style to another composition blocks AE.

  Is this a known bug?

  To work around this problem, use a command in the layer > menu Layer Styles add a layer style (any layer style) to the target before sticking layer. Then you can remove the first layer style that you have added. The bug only occurs when. gluing on a layer that has not already a Layer Styles property group.

• linking the precomped wheel rotation to the position of another comp

  Hey guys,.

  I suck at expressions, but I think we could really help me here.  I have a car, part of a complex precomp, and I want the rotaion of the wheel in the precomp to rotate according to the position of the car in the main composition.  I've seen a few scripts to-link-rotation-post but does that I can understand how to change in order to make it work.

  Hope someone can help and apologize in advance if it's well worn territory.  I tried a search but could have easily not using the right keywords.

• Comps comps pre loose quality when put in parent

  Hello!

  I have a problem with my AE project and I don't really know what to do. I already watched the forum, but didn t find any help so far.

  The problem I have is that I'm working on a big project and must shape precomps in comps parent (most of the time through the layers of varios)

  This time, when I enter it s parent comp a precomp, it loses a lot of quality. If I do it again (put the hole thing in a new model of parent) he loses even more quality!

  I checked all my compositions and all are available for total quality in 1920/1080. I use raytraced 3D and fast project fast rendering, but when I RAM Preview render my project with full quality it shows always big deficits and pixelation.

  Like I said before, I can't reproduce your problem. You don't show me the properties of the demo where the quality is bad. You have a couple of nested compositions that you set as a 3D layers. in your device Introduction 2 COMP (BTW, it is easier to understand what you are talking about if you name the comps in your question) what is happening in these compositions? Why don't you have a camera in the model of camera Introduction 2

  There is nothing I can do to recreate this problem. What happens in your system if you just put a couple of layers in a model then the nest which comp in another? If it works without problem, then there is something in your device Introduction 2 Comp which is fouling things up. Begin to turn out of the layers or effects until you find the culprit.  Here is what I get with a model nested within a model nested. The only way to clog things upwards is to condense the transformations in Comp 2 because when you do the rendering device becomes the camera in Comp 2 (the default active camera) instead of the camera in Comp 1 so the framing change.

  

  EDIT - I missed the Ray-Traced device Introduction 2 composition. I wasn't looking for it because you didn't mention it in the description of your project. Why are you Ray-tracing a model when the only 3D layers comp are the intro 3D to the iPhone and the iPad 3D intro? The only thing you can do for a demo with tracing is fold the layer. I don't see any current flexion. If you animate them before comps in a 3D space and then just disable made traced to the RADIUS and see what happens. If these nested compositions are not animated in 3D space, then turn off 3D. If you extruded the phone and the IPad in their compositions before then let these comps traced to the RADIUS but turn render raytraced in the composition of your device Introduction 2.

  We could have gotten to this part of the penalty shot if you had explained that you have a composition that gives you trouble when it is nested in another comp. The model which gives me contains 2 nested compositions that are profiled traced to the radius of an iPhone and an iPad and a sphere that has been created with some effect (I don't know how you did the sphere). Now that I understand a bit better I bet Ray-traced rendering disabling in the model of problem will fix everything.

• How to make a 3D layered model in an another 3D model?

  Always learn this program and I'm not even sure I used the name of the good object for what I'm doing...

  I am really confused, and I know that there must be a simple solution to what I'm trying to do.

  I made a model with a 2D image in 3D space to give the movement and then take this model in another comp to add some animated text that I can move between the layers. (FYI I use monkey type make a third part of the app and it creates its own camera etc.) The problem I have is when I bring the model into the new comp it does not bring the 2d to 3D image, so when I try to put the text between the two two layers it just goes behind the computer as if it was flat.

  The reason why I did it in a separate model is that its a picture of food that I've broken up, but if I try to scale or anything if I bring the image in 2D layers in the model of the text they scale but are now out of the training...

  How can long story short, I do a 2d/3d image move as a unit in a model when I move the image slightly apart along Z axes layers?

  I'm new to After Effects and I saw a tom of video tutorials in these last days, but something escapes me right now.

  I created a model with solids with the 3D layer checked to look like a room. With a camera that was added, I can move around the room in 3D space.

  I created another comp with an image of a TV and a few other flat images that fade in and out over time to watch as the TV is turned on.

  When I place this TV model in the model with the room, images animation plays, but television is not moving with the room when I move the camera.

  When I select the 3D for computer TV thwe switch in the room, then the TV moves with the room, but th animation does not play for the TV.

  When I select the collapse transformations, animation TV games, but the TV does not move with the room.

  How di get the animation to play TV AND TV move with the room when I move the camera?

  Everything worked fine, you just move your most loved Point of light to the camera (to you in space z as you sit in your Chair) in order to illuminate your model of sign. Your point of light being 'behind' your sign layer, it has not been illuminating it.

  I also had these problems when I burn a CD in my office and read in another PC, it is not recognized!

  After collecting information on the net, I had this conclusion:
  The CD wrter are becoming faster and each quick written CD has one or more failures! It depends on the CD burner!
  The manufacturer of CD is also an important thing! I tested different sellers of CD and found some brands that do not have so many failures!

• Probs windows activation... Help, please!

  After having probs with my computer, I decided to repair my windows xp using the original cd. I did a reinstall, I fixed the files just to hopefully solve my problem and keep all my data. Now, the installation went well but now I have a problem on my computer. When I try to connect I get "this copy of windows must be activated with microsoft before you can log in. You want to activate windows now? "When I select Yes need me just to my empty office and nothing happens. After a quick google it seems that its because I don't have IE 8 is installed. people to have circumvented by putting the installation file of the Explorer on a USB stick (after downloading another comp), then from the problem pc in safe mode, installed the file and then restarted. Aftr the prompt mentioned above, he apparently then takes you to microsoft whee you can activate.

  The problem is when I try to start in safe mode it doesn't. I press f8 to start high and select Safe mode, but he continues to go to a screen saying windows did not start successfully and gives me the option to select the etc SafeMode still but it always comes back to the screen if I select anything except start windows normally.
  Any ideas? Its driving me nuts and it should sort as soon as possible.

  The reboot is probably the result of a BSOD - unfortunately, the option "Disable automatic restart in the event of system failure" in ony start menu will allow to start in Normal Mode later.

  From the sound of it, you have a number of problems resulting from your attempts to patch on the system.

  Seriously, I would say that the time has come to consider a clean install after you back up the data on an external drive.

• Briefcase and not being able to open files

  I created a case and sent to a public folder in the office then sent the case to another office.  Added email and document to this file, but now when I try to open it, it says the file is open on another computer and can not be open - or something like that.  No other files are open.  Notice also that in the case in short there are folders with the same name and with the same files? -How can I access this information on just this computer?

  Go in your Briefcase and for all files that are NOT tagged orphan

  Right-click on the file and select Properties.

  Click on the update status tab

  Click Split from Original

  Press Yes and your file is back for an orphan.

  If you wish to continue using the synchronization options with the towel (on 2 or more computers) and you get this message when you try to save a file, close all folders and/or the portfolio himself and you should have access to the towel.

• problem usb 16gig

  So my 16 gig Cruzer thumb drive out of nowhere Glide seems to have issues.

  I have it plugged into my computer and it shows in my devices but I have no option to display its content, add or format it somehow.

  

  I tried to uninstall and reinstall, no luck. Stuck in another comp old I and was able to format it, but I still can't view files/add/remove things from him.

  any ideas? or it's just dead?

  I think I solved the problem after uninstallign and reinstall several times and formatting on a separate model, I was able to give him a letter via disk management and it seems to work fine now.

  Yes, but with few exceptions the programs copied will not work.

  That's because the program exe file is only part of the workforce
  program. There are also many other necessary files elsewhere and
  entries in the registry that you will not have copied.
