In the non - HP Desktop HP graphics card?

Recently we bought a NVIDIA Quadro NVS 450 for a Dell Optiplex 960, but when we got it, we discovered that it was manufactured by HP and had a warning label on the package "For use in systems HP ONLY." Does this mean that the guarantee will be simply cancelled using a system not HP, but should still work, or that the card does not work in a system not HP?

It was also noted that the same card is manufactured by other brands such as PNY. Are there differences between this map and the same card from another manufacturer that would cause the card to operate in some systems?

It's the card in question:

http://h10010.www1.HP.com/wwpc/us/en/SM/WF06c/A10-51210-64268-348724-64268-3794266-3794267-3861776.h...

If the card has been delivered with a PC, it would have a warranty 1 year. If bought separately later warranty is 1 year.

HP always has its own specifications for many PC products, even if there is the same similar components sold at the counter. Sometimes HP requires the card to work with a smaller power, but then performance may be less.

Get HP to guarantee in writing that the card will be guaranteed in non - HP computers can be difficult. However, the card should work.

    Hello

First of all I'm really putting t understand why you start two topics with the same theme. It is often better to have a subject with good content and interesting comments. Am I wrong? ;)

Anyway, in your case, it is interesting that Toshiba use adapted drivers because of the material. This means that this graphics card is not required to run at the maximum level. Material cooling in laptops is very problematic and high temperature can cause overheating or a material damage. All hardware components are placed on a small square. Graphics card produces a lot of heat and it is not so good for other material.

When you use graphic driver non-Toshiba card is forced to run faster. That's any use of support laptop manufacturers don t of third party drivers. The fact is that physical protection is a priority.

I didn t do all the experiments, but according to some reports on this forum, there is how to install the driver of non-Toshiba graphics card.

Please check this forum and you can find a lot of comments about this. An interesting topic is http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=18063&messageID=66186

  • (HPE h8-1120 desktop computer) graphics card upgrade

For now, I have a desktop HPE h8-1120 and there a GT 530. I want to upgrade to a better graphics card. I'll be able to upgrade to an EVGA GTX 670? (Will adapt and everything?) If so, what food should I upgrade to?

You should be able to upgrade to a GTX 670 but first read Guide of Dave_G of selection of a discrete video card for more information on the subject. Corsair CX500, or CX600 are good choices for power supplies and are known to adapt to most cases of HP.

    Hello

I have a 'HP Pavilion Elite HPE - 590uk Desktop PC' and seeks to update the graphics card - what is the maximum power of the graphics card can I install? The 420 has a request of 50W - would I be able to switch to a 660GTX to 150W?

    Hello

The HPE-590uk PC has a 460 watt power supply with a 1 connector PCI-E 6-pin power supply. When considering a graphics card, it is always best to consider the recommendation of power supply as indicated by the manufacturer of the graphics card.

Consult this publication articleand a measure inside your PC.

There are a lot of different brands and models of the NVIDIA GTX 660.  The reference of the models are rated at 140 watts to several do not require a 450 Watt power supply.  Looking for a model that is 9.5 "or less in length.

    Hello @DeAdEnDsHaDoW,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, so many other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff.

I read your post on the issue of the graphics card and wanted to help you!  I understand that you are looking to upgrade the desktop computer and wanted to know what might work.

Here are the specifications of the product of the GeForce 210:

    Bus support: PCI Express 2.0

Minimum system requirements power: 300 W

Here are the specifications of the HP Pavilion p6130yproduct:

    Expansion slots: 1 PCI Express x 16

    Power: 300 W

Based on the above information, the Bureau should have sufficient power to use the card.  However, you may experience a lack of performance, because of the PCI ports.

  • HP Pavilion p6530uk Desktop PC: graphics card

Hi can I upgrade my g210 graphics card EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti FTW I have ms-7613 lona gl8e motherboard and I have also recently upgraded my power of 600w.   the full name of my pc is HP Pavilion p6530uk Desktop PC thanks

I just checked the specs for Farcry 4 and your machine should run perfectly. I just wanted to point out that this graphics card is very nice and that it will not restrict your computer somehow. Your motherboard and processor are still going strong, even if they are not as new and shiney as your new graphics card. Good luck in your game!

  • The envy of office - two graphics cards?

    I am considering the

    HP ENVY 700-215xt desktop PC

Can I add a second graphics card so I can support two monitors?

I want to run the Powerpoint presentation with two screens mode.

Lasvegaswireman said, most video cards will have at least 3 ports; an hdmi and a vga and one dvi. Some will also have a display port. You can attach 2 monitors hdmi by plugging into the HDMI port and a dvi port using an adapter dvi to hdmi. The signal carried by the DVI video part is identical to hdmi digital signal, so nothing is lost with the adapter. HDMI carries audio also you need only with a TV as a monitor.

  • The HP Pavilion Elite 340uk graphics card upgrade

Hi guys, im using a HP Pavilion Elite 340uk desktop computer that came with a Geforce GT320 video card. The map is gone... dead disappeared and I'm looking for a better replacement. Can I get some suggestions of compatible with my motherboard (MS-7613) graphics cards. ? So, if I change this card with a better, should I upgrade of feeding as well? Thanks for your help.

    Hello:

My recommendation would be to get a GT430... you won't need to change the P/S.

Just make sure you get one with an interface 128-bit for the best performance memory (I think there may be a few models with a 64-bit memory interface).

    Hello:

There is no graphics card AMD switchable for my model, even with a BIOS update.  That is right.

Or is it still be grayed out as in the current state.  That is right. An update of the BIOS will do nothing to allow you to change the graphic memory settings.  Everything will be grayed out as before.

So if I overload a game settings, from the middle to the extreme, this means that most of the 3 GB memory graphics will be allocated to catch the game? Or even will not use the 737 MB dedicated?   The laptop will initially use all the dedicated memory.  If that wasn't enough, he will then consume the maximum (2.4 GB) memory system available and put it to the chart.

  • HP Pavilion p6110f Desktop PC graphics card

    Hello

I have a HP Pavilion p6110f Desktop PC, what is the best graphic card for this computer for gaming? Thank you

It seems reasonable to me. I think that the 460W should work but if you can get a 550W for just a little more, you should consider it.

  • HP Pavilion p2-1102 Desktop PC graphics card help

I'm looking to see if I can change the integrated graphics card came with the computer for a better update capable of executing some 3D software I bought it is incompatible with the current graphics card. I've looked everywhere and I can't find information on it with this computer. Any help would be appreciated, thanks

The map DM-IPXSB-mother (Cork) in your desktop HP Pavilion p2-1102 is unable to accept any graphics card. Indeed, this computer cannot be upgraded with the exception of memory and, possibly, the CPU.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

  • HP ENVY 700-349 Desktop PC: can I put this desktop computer graphics card at a 960 GTX?

I decide to upgrade my videocard to a GTX 960 a GTX 645. My question is if I can spend in the first place (I'm not the most ideal for this kind of situations). The exact specifications of my computer is listed here: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04337197 . The exact information of my video card is shown here: http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-960/specifications .

Please help I'm dying for a response

    Greetings,

    Seems good.

960 is 9.5 inches in length and requires a power of 400 W.

Check the clearance in the tower. Measure along the 645 to verify that you can adapt a 9.5 inch to 10-inch card in the case.

Hard drive cage can be in the way.

Check that your has a PCIe auxiliary cable as the 960 supply requires six extra pins to connect. The manufacturer will usually provide an adapter if you need. Or you can get one online.

    See you soon!
