  • How to start a Windows XP production, Movie Maker with a fade in from black, white or any color?

I am involved in basic training people are just starting to learn to shoot events so that they will have to change the points that allow them to achieve a smoother finish, most of the people I take care of are in remote areas and not Ras with money at this stage, they need to work with what they have - i.e. computers with Microsoft Windows 7 installed.

I just install Windows Movie Maker 2.6 on my system Windows 7 because Windows Live is a dead loss.

There is a lot more for me to explore with WMM, because I've never used Windows Movie Maker to produce a full video myself. I've used other programs so any help will be welcome - and quickly if possible...

  • Windows Live Movie Maker produces vertical black bars when recording edition/16:9 (1680 x 1050) movies

Using Fraps, Windows 7 and Windows Live Movie Maker Version 2011 (Build 15.4.3555.0308).

Recording of sequences of video game in HD - 1680 x 1050 resolution. Gross .avi clips tagged in 1680 x 1050 display properties. When I open the clips in WLMM, black two vertical bars are added, even after the selection of widescreen (16:9) in the project tab.

    Help, please!

You are welcome! I have two monitors so I'm past that 1600 x 900 resolution and messed with my video card settings that it was not as blurry (I have a nvidia geforce gtx460-NVIDIA Control Panel open in the taskbar - adjusts the size and position - office no scaling). There are black areas above and below the screen, but at least I can play and record in the correct resolution for HD videos.

  • Windows 7 - with Movie Maker. How can I burn and finalize a movie on a dvd disc?

I can not play the movie on my computer.

He saved a MP4 on my hard drive - it wont; open for Windows Media, Quicktime - or one of several other mp4 players I downloaded (and uninstall)

I chose the option "burn to disc" - thinking naively that it would actually burn something I could put on a dvd player and play.

First of all - why not? Why I have this burn to a disc if it won't; Open or play on any computer or dvd player?

Many of the forums say the option 'Choose the Mastering' and don't forget to finalize the disc.

I can find no options of Mastering Windows Movie Maker 7 - and how I finalize with no obvious way to do it?

Three possible causes of the failure to save:

    (1) the incompatible source files... (eventually... MPG or MP3)
Sometimes it is useful to disable the filters... Tools / Options /.
Compatibility tab... Uncheck all the boxes / OK.

Several formats are apparently compatible with
Movie Maker, but the most reliable choices are:

    Photos - bmp
    Video - wmv
    Audio - wav, wma, wmv

    (2) files source corrupted... the only solution for this would be to
Remove the source files of the project one at a time and
try to save each time until the problem file is discovered.

    (3) project is too big or too complex for system resources.
Create several small projects... Save as WMV.
Then re - import WMV files collected / drag in the timeline
    and record the final movie.

The following of the former article has some info.
