• Outlook does not open & said run scanpst.exe, Inbox repair.

  I have the same problem posted by Rick Bolderstone, a month or two ago.  Can't get Outlook to open and he tells me to run scanpst.exe - Inbox repair.  I can't find this tool and believe that my Outlook software is damaged.  If you're out there, Rick Bolderston how solve you this problem?  Don Burks

• Cannot run microsoft outlook; message says use Inbox Repair tool (scanpst.exe) how can I do? In addition, how to restore windows media player; the program name is missing from the selection list.

  I suggest that you follow the steps mentioned below.

  Step 1:

  Check if Windows Media Player is disabled in Windows Features.

  I suggest that you run SFC scan on your machine to verify if this is related to missing or damaged system files.

• why I can't open emails in my Inbox that happened before today - I can open the messages today and I can't open emails earlier tha are stored in other folders

  Yesterday, I got a message that I "could not mail" because my Inbox was full and that I should delete some files or compact. He had only about 20 messages in there, but I had ignored the suggestions that I have compact for awhile I went to the menu and hit compact. Then I could get mail and I could open it while he was in my Inbox.

  This morning I got the email and I was able to watch it and I deleted a lot. A little later (I had rebooted my computer at the same time) I wanted to watch an email in my Inbox. He seemed to open but didn't have any content at all. Similarly when I looked at the message at the bottom of the screen it doesn't show there at all. The only messages in my Inbox that I watch are the two that happened today.

  I am able to open the messages that are stored in other folders. But by moving a message in the Inbox to a folder not in fact could not be opened.

  Something else odd; in the Inbox, a message that I can open shows the sender evil - the sender of a message that I had been in motion to see if it could be opened if it was stored elsewhere; but the sender is correct when I opened the message.

  It's all very weird.

  It sounds like you do not have a corrupt Inbox file.

  First create a backup of your profile folder.

  Right click on the folder of Inbox Repair - properties-

  The problem is with your profile, so re-setup to do nothing.

  In general it is not a good idea to let your anti-virus scan your Thunderbird profiles folder s/w and the incoming and outgoing messages.

  Regarding your problem, try to rebuild the index for the Inbox file.

  c:/program files / office 12 / SCANPST.exe run & map the path to the PST, and then repair PST files.
  It's the tool that Microsoft recommended.

• Run-time error Outlook express

  In my outlook express, I get a message on a runtime error. How can I solve this problem. It won't even open to read my mail.

  1. Enroll in two important Outlook files. Go to start > run and type regsvr32 OLE32. DLL
     In addition, type regsvr32 inetcomm.dll
     
     Then try opening OE.
     
     2. check if the folders.dbx file is corrupted.  With OE closed, find folders.dbx and rename it to folders.old.
     
     The file is located in C:\Documents and Settings\Settings\Application Data\Identities\\Microsoft\Outlook Express folder. This is a hidden folder, so you must display hidden folders and files to see. Go to any folder and select Tools > Folder Options > view. Check 'show files and folders '. Click OK.
     
     3. check if the DBX file is corrupted. Perform a repair with
     OE-Mail repair at http://www.oemailrecovery.com/inbox-repair.html
  2. Create a new Outlook Express identity.

• X 200 problems with MS office Please help!

  I tried the demo version of MS office teacher on my computer when my computer completely froze and I had to use the power button to restart. After I did that I couldn't use my Outlook he said to fix it using. PST. I tried and tried I couldn't fix or even find.

  I purchased Office Ultimate through my student website and now I installed it last night. I went to use Outlook and it still gives me the same error message that I need to repair it with PSTSCAN. I uninstalled and reinstalled again and I still can not use Outlook. I went to the MS site to see if there is a problem, and I can't always find something. I can't even call customer service without having charged $50 to talk to someone.

  I installed Thunderbird to get me by until I can find that hopfully, however, I would perfer to use Outlook. If there is someone who can I would greatly appreciate your time.

  I finally thought to her, I couldn't locate the Office\Office.pst file that needed repaired. I finally spotted after research on and off these days. I used the inbox repair tool scanpst.exe to repair the damaged file. The oulook file has been altered after that I had to use the power button after that my computer froze. Everything works fine now.

  I had problems with my emails, I noticed earlier the date of receipt is "filter applied?  When I opened an email that I can read it, but if I close down his party.  This isn't in the deletion of the items either.  At the bottom of my screen of outlook I filter applied and 182, 17 not read?  How do you get the applied filter disappeared and can I recover my lost emails?  Please help Im going nuts

I tried RESTORE but it did not work.  How can I get my personal settings?

  I use my wife's computer to ask this question because I can access is no longer my internet connection.  The system took me back to the State of the implementation for the first time as if I use a new computer.  How can I go back to shoot to the top of the computer with my usual settings?  I use Windows XP on a laptop Compaq nx7400.  (Got!) broadband using a modem and a telephone line.

• My Outlook crashes whenever I am trying to send mail. It won't let me send mail, why?

  You use Microsoft Outlook or outlook express...

  The possible cause is corrupted pst file, you use the Inbox Repair tool to analyze and repair your pst.

  Search for scanpst.exe on your drive c :\--> start scanpst.exe--> select the location of your pst file and select scan--> to the end you will have the option to repair.

  To locate your pst: start-> settings-> Control Panel-> Mail-> data files.

  You need to close your outlook before performing the analysis.
