include the shortcut in package

We test the Thinapp solution and of the DBMS is a customer navision Ms. We need to specify a server name and temp file locations when we start to the customer. So we used to specify this information in the shortcut properties. How can we include the short in the package so that the settings are kept in the package.

You can accomplish this by using the command line parameter =...

Here is an example:

[Mozilla Firefox (Safe Mode) .exe]

Source=%ProgramFilesDir%\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe

Shortcut = Mozilla Firefox.exe

WorkingDirectory=%ProgramFilesDir%\Mozilla Firefox

CommandLine="%ProgramFilesDir%\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" - safe-mode

Shortcuts=%programs%\Mozilla Firefox

Basically, you use: CommandLine = "SameAsYourSourceParameter" AddAnyParametersNativeApplicationSupports

  • Can I create an action that includes a shortcut for the patch tool?

    I am trying to create an action that includes a shortcut for the tool room.  I changed the patch (now R) tool shortcut to be different from the correct place (J), it works fine on the keyboard, but it will not record in action. Is there a way to include this point in the action?

    Something do not have in stock, and there is no menu item for the function you want to save.  The easiest way around your problem is to create a tool preset for the tool part then record by selecting this predefined in your action patch toll to pass to the tool room.

  • Way to package the shortcut pointing to the network drive

    I have a package with 2 files - a .ini and a shortcut on the desktop. The .ini file will fine SystemRoot. The shortcut on the office lights, and points to a network drive, but fails it as in package.ini, the source for the shortcut, which is the entry point main, pointing to a target that is not in the package, which is a file on a network share, which is mapped to the user through a login script.

    I tried build the package with the shortcut pointing to the .ini file, as it exists in the package and then try to generate scripts to change the path of the shortcut target, timing of the launch of the shortcut, but I can't get that to not work. Any ideas?

    I've already fallen on this kind of installation so I know a workaround for it but I'll be honest with you; What is the point of creating a virtual set for a shortcut and an .ini file? One of the main objective of virtualization app is isolation.  As a best practice and avoid possible isolation question (s), your package must contain all the files, that is to say, all of these files on the network (drive P :) must be placed in the thinapp package.)

    But if you still go with this configuration for any reason, you can try the following:

    In the project folder:

    -Create a shortcut in the folder % desktop (create it if it does not exist) and type the following location: P:\SBRTS\SBRTS. EXE (you will need to have your mapped P: drive)

    -Name of your shortcut "SBRTS.lnk" (or any name you want)

    -Change your point of entry as follows:

    [Clinic Workstation.exe]

    Source=%desktop%\SBRTS.lnk

    ReadOnlyData = Package.ro.tvr

    WorkingDirectory = P:\SBRTS

    Shortcuts = % Office

    (Note that the WorkingDirectory may need to be adjusted. Normally the folder holding the binary is the working directory)

    -Rebuild you app with build.bat

  • The shortcut error message: the specified path is not; Maybe reinstall Firefox whenever I want to use.

    When I install Firefox, it works very well. Installation does not include a shortcut on my desktop, then when I try to start it again, I go to "all programs." Next, I get the message "the specified path does not exist. I think it has something to do with the confusion between two hard disks. C: drive, a small SSD, contains the operating system and other software. D: drive is my data disc, contains other applications, photos, music, etc. The way referred to in the error message is D:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe.

    Firefox does not have the ability to choose a disk for installation. Is it possible that it is automatically installed on the C: drive, the shortcut continues to send on the D: drive?

    If you have any ideas or suggestions, I'd like to hear them.

    Using your file browser, look for Firefox in c:\Program Files (x 86)
    After, look in other files of the program (x 86)

    Once you find it, click with the right button on Firefox.exe and create a shortcut.
    Move it to your desktop. It work?

    Note: In the creation of shortcuts, you can without spaces. Instead of use;
    c:\Program Files (x 86), you should use; "c:\Program Files (x 86)".

  • Satellite Pro A100 - how to activate the shortcut keyboard-support on Vista?

    Hello. I've recently updated my satellite pro a100-828 to windows vista, and things work well to a large extent with two exceptions:

    1. I can't figure out how to activate the shortcut keyboard-support: media-keys to the left and the fn keys do nothing. There seems to be no shortcut keyboard-utility for windows vista in the drivers * tion. So what to do?
    2. the standby electricity utility is not available, which is good because of the power saver new vista. Except that I can't dim the screen, so the battery does not last me too long. How can I do this?

    Thanks in advance
    Best regards

  • Compare the module tool VI to the development base package / edition

    Hi all

    My company has hired some contractors to assist in reviewing our work of LabVIEW and bought packages of development basis of LabVIEW for them to use (because they do not need to build the final application or something like that).  Imagine my surprise to find that the tool to compare, which is essential to make sizeable screw comments, is not included in the basic development package!

    Now, a lot of other references that I found on the web indicates that it is only in the professional package (which is ridiculous for such a basic tool, in my opinion), but a page OR (http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/3493C58EA0E842FA86256F86006142C0) implies that compare is now in the full package, and only the line tool command requires the professional set.  Can someone tell me if this is true?

    Is there as an even better option, any add-on that I can buy for the features to compare VI added to my basic package?  The page buy LabVIEW (http://www.ni.com/labview/buy/) lists 'Review Code quality' as an option module, but I just thought it just means that VI Analyzer, and comparison feature is not listed in the table (a hunting in big enough witches away from the list, once again in my opinion).  I hate to tell my boss that we need to pass a package of $1,000 to a package of $3000 or $5000 for each contractor, so they will be able to examine the code.

    Thanks for your help!

    -Joe

    FYI, to finish this topic, I finally got an official response from back of NEITHER: there is not any other add-ons or third-party tools that allow a graphic comparison of voluntary initiatives.  So, as previous Seraphim (thanks again) have said, the professional development environment is your only option for the use of this tool.

  • Programs for the shortcut icons on the desktop of the user different?

    My adult son and I are two Admins on what is basically a computer. I try to keep a very clean desktop so that I can easily find any new DOCS or IE shortcuts.
    We each have our own connections. He installed games with CD and when I connected and found new icons for its games on my desk, I deleted them. But then he told me that they had disappeared from HIS Office too, so we had to go out of the Recycle Bin.
    What is the only way that Windows XP work? I had always thought that each user has been mainly in charge of their own office, so it makes no sense to me.

    Everything you see on your screen is just a shortcut or icon of a folder on your system, and there is a folder on the desktop that applies to all users (everyone gets those) and another folder in the office that applies to all users for things that belong to them.

    When certain things are installed, they ask if you want the new program will be available for all users or just the current user (logged).

    If you install for all users, shortcuts and icons will settle in the all users desktop folder.

    If you install for just you, shortcuts and icons will settle in your desktop folder.

    What you see on your desktop, it's all desktop users folder and your desktop folder combined.

    What your adult son sees on his desk, is the all users desktop folder and its combined desktop folder.

    If you install and tell the facility to apply to all users, shortcuts and icons to put in the desktop folder for all users - everyone sees them.

    If the installed program shortcuts and icons in the all users desktop folder (and each user sees) and if you remove if from your office, you are also removing the all users desktop folder, then they are removed for everyone.

    What you see on your desktop being things just in a folder, you can navigate to your folder office and add/remove things from him, just like any other folder (and therefore cannot your adult son).

    If you have access to all the users desktop folder and add/remove things that will affect all the folder on the desktop.

    If your installed program does not require and has just put all the stuff in the all users desktop folder (so everyone sees them) and that you don't want to see such things, cut the shortcuts in the all users desktop folder and paste them into your grown son file and then only he will see them.

    Don't forget - what you see on your screen are just shortcuts and icons in a folder (s) that you can manipulate using including cut, copy, and paste.

  • Tab shortcut in the shortcut properties

    The shortcut tab has mysteriously disappeared from my Vista 64 shortcut properties.  I right-click and 'properties' and information arrives, but the tab shortcut, isn't here.  Something must have happened recently to change but I can't imagine that.

    Even the shortcuts that I for one was the tab a few weeks ago now don't have it (I know because I had used this tab to change their icons).

    So if anyone has an idea on how to solve this problem, I'd appreciate hearing it.

    Hah! I never noticed this checkbox. I bet that's the problem. But now all system restore went for some reason any.

    Anyway, I did some more research on mine and it seems that my DVD service Pack1 included as service pack 2 is the only one that appears in my list of installed updates.  So I think I'll save my hard to replace the files, prepare to try the upgrade of repair. The computer is perfectly usable outside the strange missing tab so there is no immediate urgency.

    Thanks much to Mick and Lorien for advice. I'll pop in later and let you know how it went.

    Oh - one last question.

    Did an install of windows 'clean' completely erase the hard drive as if I did a format or let it files outside the windows single directory structure.  If I do a full reinstall I can live with reinstall all my software, but I have a ton of data files that I prefer not to see disappear.  If I move out of the folder 'My Documents' they will survive a clean reinstall where I do not reformat the disk partition?

    Always back up your data to an external source.

    Never reply on your main hard drive.

    And a facility normally clean wipes your own HD everything.

    Read the info below re clean install:

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

    Would help if you told us in which application.  If it is in reference to Hotmail/Outlook, it's in the wrong place.

    In Internet explorer, you can use these shortcuts.  Other browsers are similar.

    Zoom + (more) CTRL in
    CTRL + (Zoom out less)
    Scrolling CTRL + mouse wheel

    3. under writing e-mail click on signature and Message fonts.
    4. Select the font size, type of police and formatting you want at the top of the police of Message box (you can see how it will look on the sentence under).

  • ORA-06508, procedure cannot call the procedure of package

    I have a large stored procedure that calls a package (procedure) that manages a number of procedures to determine whether the process can continue or not.  (It checks authorization of the student to enroll in a class).  We have a web process calling the stored procedure, and that works fine.  What does not work, is a call to the package.  Oracle returned ORA-06508: PL? SQL: could not find program unit called.

    I have included instructions for debugging, so I know that it is the specific call to a procedure in the package fails with ORA-06508.  Thinking it's perhaps something in the package, I inserted a debug statement as the first line in the procedure called in the package.    (Debugging instructions call a procedure inserts of rows in a table of debugging with independent validation).

    When I log in the user account with sqlplus and run a test, everything works fine.  But when the web process is running under the same user, the process fails to call the procedure of package and fails with ORA-06508.

    It seems as if the web process runs with the rights of the appellant, or a role is not granted.

    Can someone help me understand what the problem is?

    offered hv, I appreciate your comments.

    We solved the problem: remove the package that couldn't be cited, then re-create.   That's all!

    Apparently, something in the database was tangled upward.   The server recently had problems with disk space, then it might have been related to that.  But we'll never know for sure.

    The stored procedure and packaging (procedures) which he called were owned by the same schema, and there is no mechanism that I can find to prevent one of the other appellant.  But that was the case - Oracle threw the ORA-06508 exception when the stored procedure called the package procedure.

    I replaced the stored procedure and package several times fine-tuning debugging code, but this has not fixed the problem.

    Finally let it drop and then re-create the package, it's which solved the problem.

    Regarding requests to view the code, there is no way that I could reproduce the problem, since the error that occurred was against the permissions and rules which packages run and the procedures of the Oracle.  Thanks for all the tips and suggestions.
