You can try to re - install in compatibility mode.  You can also contact the developer to see if there is a newer version

To run in compatibility mode do the following:

Click with the right button on the installer > properties > compatibility > choose OS

Lol IE7 has noting to do a clean install.

Are you sure that you boot from the disc.
How do you start the Windows XP installation. First start XP and go inside the computer and click the CD drive icon.
Are you sure that you format the HARD drive when it offers you the possibility to do? Cause if during installation you have not selected the option that shows the drive using NTFS Format, then all programs will always be there and will continue to occupy a lot of space on the hard disk.
  • Error message: this action cannot be completed because the other program is busy. Choose ' switch to ' to activate the busy program and correct the problem

    Original title: server busy

I get a popup server busy with the message: "this action cannot be completed because the other program is busy.  ' Choose ' switch to ' to activate the busy program and correct the problem.  There are two buttons"'Switch To' and 'Retry '.  Neither fixes the problem and I do not understand what they are talking about.

    Hi adarb,

    1. when exactly you get this message?

    2. what applications do you use when you get this message?

    Method 1:

You can restart the computer and check if it helps.

    Method 2:

You try to perform a clean boot. A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.

You can read the following article to put the computer in a clean boot:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

If your problem is resolved after the clean boot, and then follow the steps mentioned in the article above to refine the exact source.

After you have used the boot is a way to solve your problem, you can follow the steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.

    Hope this information is useful.

I have a new computer because the old computer was broken. Can I use Lightroom license more far. Or the license needs to be reset?

The license agreement that you signed up to you to have two machines with enabled facilities.

The option to turn off depends on which version of Lightroom, it is.  Anything older than that version 6 has no option - simply reinstall and activate if necessary.

I just got a 2 hours with tech support chat where their only suggestion was to make me go to

"C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe, find the folder Cache SL and place it on your desk.

They then told me to record and then try again (alas, without modification), and then told to try this "Creative Cloud Cleaner. So I downloaded that and asking him to remove 'Creative cloud' only, and Photoshop CS6 now throws as Extended CS6, I do not have and do not want. But the Extended CS6 activation dialog box wants my serial number, which are not good for Extended CS6 because 1. This is not what I paid for and 2. This isn't what have installed on this computer. I had Photoshop CS6 (not CC) and Lightroom (not CC) 6.

Somehow, CC got installed when I updated to LR6, but not by any deliberate by me. It has been installed automatically by Adobe and now I have no way to access my files 140 thousand image dating back to 2001, which have all their adjustments made in Lightroom v6.

I've been on Photoshop since it was in Lightroom and Aldus since v1.  Clueless on Chat at Adobe people sent me here because they have "done all steps"... sigh.

Anyone know how I can just go back to where I was yesterday, CS6 and LR 6, no CC, on my computer Windows 7 Pro?

Thank you, I have many customers who do not need it.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Firefox reset function move your old folder settings on your desktop, inside a folder named old data from Firefox. Please keep this record for a few weeks in case you need to recover anything of him.

If the reset does not help, there are two main variables remaining here: possible corruption in the settings (your profile folder) files that are reported after a reset and possible problems in your Firefox program folder.

    Create a new Firefox profile

A new profile will be your plugins installed by system (for example, Flash) and extensions (e.g., security suite toolbars), but no themes, other extensions or other customizations. It will also have databases of completely fresh settings and cool a cache folder.

Out of Firefox and start in the profile using Start Manager > Run (hold the Windows key press R):

    firefox.exe -P

    Do not delete anything here.

Any time want to switch profiles, exit Firefox and return to this dialog box.

Go ahead and click on the button to create a profile, give it a name such as Nov8 and ignore the possibility of changing the location of the folder. Then launch Firefox in the new profile that you have created.

Until you return to the profile and start-up Manager in your regular profile, your desktop shortcut should launch the new profile.

Other than not having your settings, it works normally?

Note: When you return to the Profile Manager, you might be tempted to use the button Delete a profile on your new test profile. It's a little too easy to accidentally delete your 'real' profile, so I recommend you to resist the temptation. If you don't want to clean up later, I suggest to make a backup of all your profiles first in case something go wrong.

You can replace the Firefox program files without disturbing your settings by using this clean reinstall procedure:

    (1) download a fresh Installer for Firefox 33 of https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ in an ideal location. (Scroll down your preferred language).

    (2) as appropriate, close Firefox or make sure there is full compliance in the Task Manager.

    (3) to rename the folder (Windows 64-bit folder names)

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox

    TO

    C:\Program Files (x86)\OldFirefox

    (4) run the installer you downloaded in the #1. It should automatically connect to your existing settings.

    It runs?

Note: Some plugins recently installed can exist only in this OldFirefox file. If it is missing something essential, present in these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \OldFirefox\Plugins
    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \OldFirefox\browser\plugins
  • Removal of the old program files

I installed my old hard drive in my new computer for more space, but when I tried to delete the old file to program, he did a new Program Files folder on my C drive.  I can't delete it-it says I need permission.  Someone knows how to do this? Thank you

You may change the default application assigned to open files to point to the new.  How you do that depends on what operating system you have. If you use Google, you should be able to know how to change the default programs for different files.

  • Order of steps, replacing the old program Adobe with the upgrade program

I just bought 3 copies of the version of windows Adobe Pro XI to replace the Adobe 9 Pro software.  I know that last time I did an update I had problems with the old software.  Initially, I deleted the old software, but the version of upgrade said while I have not had an earlier version.  Rather than delete, I think I should do something with the program.  I tried to read the information on the website I can't find anything on point.  It should be a simple process that I can reproduce at each workstation. Help, please

You don't need the old installed software but it takes the serial number of the old software - this will be asked as "qualifying product".

Probably (but not necessarily) find that the installation removes the old version.

  • Cannot uninstall the old program, reinstall, or remove the folder

I bought this home edition of XP used from Lady in my building.  His father-in-law was.  It has the older version of mozilla firefox here since 2009.  In the Panel of control-add/remove programs-it will not uninstall.  I tried to click the icon for it and it will not open.  I tried to delete the file and receive error message: access is denied.  I went on the site and can not download the latest version either.  What should I do now?  It does not close also.  It restarts after said save setttings and stop.

You bought a computer with a preinstalled operating system or just the OS and put it on a computer that you have ever had?

    Search for malware:

Download, install, execute, update and perform analyses complete system with the two following applications:

Remove anything they find.  Reboot when necessary.  (You can uninstall one or both when finished.)

Search online with eSet Online Scanner.

The less you have to run all the time, most things you want to run will perform:

Use Autoruns to understand this all starts when your computer's / when you log in.  Look for whatever it is you do not know using Google (or ask here.)  You can hopefully figure out if there are things from when your computer does (or connect) you don't not need and then configure them (through their own built-in mechanisms is the preferred method) so they do not - start using your resources without reason.

You can download and use Process Explorer to see exactly what is taking your time processor/CPU and memory.  This can help you to identify applications that you might want to consider alternatives for and get rid of all together.

You can free up disk space (will also help get rid of the things that you do not use) through the following steps:

You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.
    2. click on the System Restore tab.
    3. highlight one of your readers (or C: If you only) and click on the button "settings".
4 change the percentage of disk space you want to allow... I suggest moving the slider until you have about 1 GB (1024 MB or close to that...)
    5. click on OK. Then click OK again.

You can control the amount of space used may or may not temporary Internet files...

Empty the temporary Internet files and reduce the size, that it stores a size between 64 MB and 128 MB...

-Open a copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
    -Select TOOLS - Internet Options.
-On the general tab in the section 'Temporary Internet files', follow these steps:
-Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
-Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
    -Click OK.
-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
-Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer.

You can use an application that scans your system for the log files and temporary files and use it to get rid of those who:

    CCleaner (free!)

  • problem when the old program running on windows 7

Hi I am using windows 7 64 bit.

At the moment, I really wanted to go back to the era when I still have a kid who play soccer games on computer. at this point, I use windows xp, and it's my favurite game program

    Manager FIFA soccer 96/97

    The 98 World Cup

    FIFA 99

    the 99/00 Championship Manager

now I am using windows 7 64 bit and meet a lot of problem

the game works well, because I set the compatibility mode to windows 98.but it is just the text.so in the game of football, his divided to two parts. the first part is text, where we see players, statistics, etc. that work well

the second is soccer game. I believe that associated with vga and color. and that's the problem. I see so many pixel, playing the football game on these games

I guess that this is related to my "64 bit version" of windows. because when I was googling somewhere, I see old-fashioned, using 16-bit. This my vga downgrade and cannot display video smoothly.

    What should I do?

    Hello

    Please contact the Microsoft Community.

I wish that you contact the respective developers of the game or play the game and check if there is a patch available for the same thing.

We know if you need help.

    Thank you.
