  How can I change my preferences app so that I can delete apps from my profile I want nothing to do with?  All I want in my profile are the apps that I use and you want, not the ones I don't want.

  'S done it on purpose in Windows8... have a list available of each application that you have installed with your Msft account is useful if for example you paid for an application and it is subsequently removed from the Store, in the "apps" section, you will be able to reinstall more removed from the applications list even if they are not in the store more

  Thus a list of installed applications is stored so that if you logged onto a new PC of Win8 using your Microsoft account all your apps will automatically install (and your application settings carry on) most of the Sync data is stored in SkyDrive

  If you uninstall an unwanted app (not only away from the splash screen) you should not receive Notifications to update these applications... I never got such a notification, and I try a LOT of applications. You have all updates applied to your PC Windows? (Windows updates not the app updates). If you receive notifications for uninstalled apps is not a behavior normal but if you're talking about Bing, finance, Sports, travel news App... it is currently a problem the Bank of Windows that always will inform you of updates of these applications (even if you uninstalled)

  We cannot change the food in Indian currency. They will be always displayed in Dollars.

  However, you can change your location in the application of Finance to get updates in your area. To do this, refer to the following steps.

  a. open finance app, tap/hit Windows key + C.

  b. click on settings, click Options, click on change content and language of app

  c. Select the India English, close the application and open it again.

  I installed Windows 8 Pro on my machine (Core i5, 4 GB Ram, 1 GB 6850 Radeon Toxic, 1 TB HDD)... I'm happy to use it except for one of the major problems that is search.

  I can't find the files on my HARD drive! Applications, the settings option does not appear under the search option in the charming bar. In Windows Explorer, there is no search option. If I go into the right corner and go to the research, I can get just the weather, bing, store, music, video, finance. There is no search option, settings app that appears in other windows machines 8. Also, there is no search bar in Explorer window next to the address bar.

  Yes. I contacted support and counsel really ruin my station with some rookie mistakes very until he was found. Basically, the solution was to re - install the search options in Windows by going to programs and features / turn on or off windows features. Once he did that options appeared in the search. But not before he has installed antivirus software freeware to scan my stations for viruses that took its logmein software that it has been detected as a threat how it decided to call my house at 02:00 once he realized that he was disconnected by its own hurt... Is it possible for me to enter a formula in a cell that will automatically fill the cell with current stock quote data provided by FinViz, Yahoo Finance, Google Finance or similar?

  No way to achieve in formula in number.  You can do by script, however, by this thread.

  You can also set up in Google spreadsheets using a formula and copy - paste it in numbers.

• AppleScript - quotes from removal of cells

  I need to remove the quotes of cells in number.

  Currently, I have a script that imports data from Yahoo Finance in numbers in a range of cells (for example b2:j8).

  Unfortunately, much of this data as of the dates & times that are imported are surrounded by double quotes ".» It is therefore impossible to manipulate the data in these cells (for example dates are imported in the format mm/dd/yy and I wish I could change it to the jj/mm/aa but because the format was imported as 'dd/mm/yy' column cannot be formatted into a date format).

  Also other cells that can contain text have quotes. Fortunately the data that contains numbers have no quotes.

  I've looked everywhere and can't find a script that would be able to remove the quotes of cells.

  Help would be really appreciated. Thank you.

  The script below will remove the first and last characters for the values in the cells 3 numbers.

  To use:

  1. Copy-paste in the Script Editor (in Applications > utilities)
  2. Select the cells of numbers with dates
  3. With the selected cells, lick the button 'run '.

  Because this changes the contents of the cells, best to test first on a copy of your data.

  BTW, you don't specify what version of numbers that you use.  If you use numbers 2, some changes will be necessary.

  And have you seen this thread on the use of API finance from Yahoo to retrieve data on stocks and place it in numbers?

  Using bing as search for it the default url, however on the topic: config under "keyword.url", I set it to 'http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8 & sourceid = navclient & gfns = 1 & q =' (without the quotes). I have tried to reset it to the default value as well as various other values too, still uses bing. 'keyword.enabled' is set to true, I also tried to put it as false. I have not found anything in the list extensions/add-on, nor in the control panel. I think this problem raised after 32-bit vista did an automatic update last night.

  While searching for a daily update for my portfolio with my newly installed MS Money Plus program, a yellow alert says "your last call encountered an error.
  Red alert says "an error occurred while Money was recovering quotes... try again later".
  I tried for several days, but later has not yet arrived. I tried the aid money, but they don't know anything about recovery quotes

• Cannot use e-gift card with a quote

  Hey guys!

  I have some major problems with a purchase. Thursday (four days ago), I got a quote for a chat for 13 Chromebook sales representative. I couldn't buy then because I had to wait until my gift cards has consolidated. (None of them are promo gift cards.) Today, I checked and gift cards have been consolidated (yay!), so I looked to the top of the quote to complete the purchase. He had nowhere to enter the gift card and apply it towards balance. The only mention of gift cards, I could find was in relationship with (and with) a financing statement. I didn't sign up for an account, but the word "gift" is not even on other pages until the final payment button.

  I spoke with someone in the chat, and he said to select "Gift card" payment type drop down. There is no such don't fall down I can find. The payment page has text links for the different forms of payment that each have their own page. I tried selecting the option 'Pay with two credit cards', but the card does not appear as an option of credit card here.

  then... How can I request a gift card to my balance? I am unable to use a gift card with a quote? Or do I wonder funding to use a gift card?

  Thanks for the reply, Lorna. In fact, I was able to get back in touch with the sales team and make the purchase by phone with no problems. Don't know what was going on with the purchase online, but the problem was solved in another way.
