Incorporation of audio and control icon

I am student at the incorporation of audio files (extracted from foreign languages) in a PDF made using Acrobat 9.

The audio files are made using NCH Soundpad and converted to mp3.

Place the cursor in the right place > Multimedia > sound > find the file

Everything works EXCEPT that I can't control the appearance of the icon. The dialog box indicates 'no border', 'the border' etc, but whatever I this really nasty inappropriate icon.

When you click on this icon (mean), the audio clip plays OK. BUT to play a second time, the icon must be large enough for the reader to identify a blob bit inside the icon. that is, after the first play through the icon changes shape slightly.

What you see in the screenshot is the poster image - JPEG format that is displayed prior to activation of the audio annotation. Once someone clicks on it, the Flash player widget appears in its place. The default widget comes with Acrobat is designed as a long horizontal Strip, so does not work in a small rectangle.

You have many options for changing the appearance and function of multimedia annotations via the properties panel (right-click on the annotation and choose Properties)-for starters, you can configure the annotation to play in a floating window, then the widget of the player is not limited to the size of your rectangle of the annotation. You can change the image of the poster before activate when loading a JPEG image (for example, a 'play' icon) and using the SWF file type annotation (or exchanging files in the Acrobat installation folder) you can use your own custom player widget - but which requires Flash programming skills.

  • Windows XP - installation of Realplayer changed audio and video icons

Running XP Home on my laptop.  I installed Realplayer and all of a sudden all the audio and video elements icons have changed.

I went into preferences/Options in Realplayer and Windows Media Player to select the default reader for WMP files, and while files now open with WMP, the icons are still those changed.

In the past, the minute I change associations (i.e. the value of the default WMP player), the icons changed as well, but it doesn't now.

How to restore the original icons, i.e. If a file is associated with WMP, how can I get the icon to show that it's a WMP icon?

  • Problems with error Windows Audio and Control Panel "one or more of the audio service is not running.

I'm a bit of a technophobe, but I'll try to explain my problem, I got better.  I recently had a problem with Windows 8 and refreshed my system.  After refreshing, I installed AVG Anti-virus and that's where my problems really started.  After installing AVG I have no sound and my control panel usually pop up.  The box is displayed but there is nothing in it and it sorts just of sticks, frozen.  I tried the fixes recommended to fix my sound. The speaker in my taskbar icon has a red x on it and when I try to open it it goes right to the problem-solving mode, then comes up with "one or more of the audio service is not running.  When I try "run services.msc' and try to start Windows Audio through Services I get error 0x800706cc.  I tried to uninstall AVG and reboot, but it did make a difference.  Please help, this leads me to the madness now.  Nothing I try seems to work!

Installation of AVG is when the problems started, I would start by undoing that.  Since the normal uninstall did not help, use system restore to return to a work situation.  Check here and use the #1 option.

    Hello

    1. what security software is installed?

System Restore takes a "snapshot" critical system files and some program files and registry settings, and then it stores this information as restore points. If your computer is not working properly, you can use these points to return Windows XP to a previous state when your computer was working properly restore.

    Hello

Notification options are only available for Windows Vista and higher. The Control of the Volume icon may appear from the Control Panel.

You said that the Spokesman of AOL could have removed the Control of Volume, please make sure that the following files exist on your system to see if the Setting of the Volume has been either deleted or not
    %SystemRoot%\system32\sndvol32.exe

If you do not want to enable the display of the Control of the Volume icon, please try the following

  • I have both add and remove icons in Control Panel

I have both add and remove icons of programs in my control panel.

My Question is :-(. How can I delete one of them I think that may be causing the other problem to take a long time to fill?  Any help would be appreciated

First of all the show all Control Panel items sorted by name by opening a window (Windows Logo key + R) Run, type, or copy and paste cmd /k %windir%\system32\*.cpl press dir (note the four spaces) and press ENTER.

Rename the oldest double (unexpected) by typing ren c:\windows\system32\nnnn.cpl nnnn.old (where nnnn is the name of the file), and then press ENTER. Close the command prompt window. If at a later date, control panel behaves itself, the renamed file can be deleted.

  • Sounds and control panel of Audio devices - the speaker settings & gray device Volume

System restore point created and then installed audio & video drivers from Microsoft Update.  Lost audio & fucking video, speaker in the system tray icon disappeared.   Tried to go back to a restore point, but system says that there was a problem and he is unable to restore my system to a restore point and no action was taken.

    What I did:

    1. Went to Creative & Nvidia and got the latest drivers and installed OK.
    2. Device Manager shows no problems.
    3. A ran Microsoft FixIt.  No problems found.
    4. DirectX diagnostic ran.  No sound on all the tests.
    5. Open 'Sound and Audio Devices Properties' Panel.  On the Volume tab, "Device Volume" & "The speaker settings" are grayed out.  Slider is set to low or non-existent and "speaker" icon is deselected.  "Audio" tabs & 'Voice', have selections SB X - Fi Audio as default devices.  'Hardware' tab has all the devices activated and functioning properly.
    6. As the loss of his is systemic, I checked the BIOS and he had disabled his, so I enabled it, but suspect it is for his mother integrated.
    7. Activated the Windows Audio Service, restarted and assured, it starts automatically at windows startup.
    8. Restored sndvol32.exe from the Windows XP installation disc.

Nothing has been able to restore all the sounds from my system.  Any other ideas?

    System details:

Dell XPS 400 card, Windows XP Pro SP3, Creative Sound Blaster X - Fi Extreme Music

Hi Jim384.Whenever I had a sound problem, I go to the Device Manager open the audio video and game controllers. In the list, you should see peripheral audio. Right click and uninstall it. Close all applications and restart the system. When the system reboots it should detect the hardware as a new device and proceed to load the material. Probably wouldn't hurt to run the program below. Click on the link, download it and then start in safe mode with network and run the program. If there is no bug in there it will remove them.

Alternatively, you can try to restore your computer to a point before the attack of Trojan with the Microsoft System Restore.

Go start > all programs > Accessories > system tool > system restore.

If the Trojan damaged your system to the point where you can't fix it, you may need to reload your OS using your HP Recovery Manager. Save all of your personal information. prior to this, as it will be deleted.

  • Volume control icon has disappeared from the notification area and unable to change.

Original title: missing Volume control on the speaker/icon

My volume control icon disappeared from my office. On my notification area icons > system icons, the volume icon is set to 'off' and grayed out so I can't change it. I did NOT choose this option. It just happened when I turned on my computer this morning and had no sound and no "speaker" icon appearing in my bar tasks, like she normally does.  In addition, my notifications area icons is set to DISPLAY the volume control on the taskbar, but it does not show.  Restarting my computer did not help.  What can I do to get this to redisplay the taskbar? Fortunately, I can always manually volume by going to control panel, sounds, speakers, level and make it work, but it's too long. I need to be able to turn the volume on and off quickly.  I have Windows 7 Home Premium. Thanks for any help that can be given.

Thank you very much for your answer!

The answers to your three questions are No, Yes, and No. miraculously, when I turned on my computer this morning, the icon is back!  I'm sorry that you have to spend so much time explaining what to do, but at least I'll have your answer to see if it never happens again, and maybe it can help someone else.  I doubt I'm the only person never to happen.  Once again, thank you!
