Incorrect 2016 calendar week numbers

Hi guys... It seems that for 2016 calendar week numbers are not correct.  Only he, they differ from what is listed in Outlook.  (this is important, because Outlook is the standard in my organization).

For example: CW1 2016 in the Calendar is listed as Dec 28 - Jan 1.  In Outlook, CW1 is listed as Jan 4-8.

My guess is that Calendar.app applied 52 weeks a year, while Outlook allows year 53/weeks (cover week last of 2015).

Is it possible to change this the week numbers assigned in the calendar, or perhaps is this a known problem?

I thought about it!

It seems that the default in Calendar.app (at least in North America) has the defined 'Gregorian' calendar, while Outlook seems to use ISO 8601.  The ISO calendar allows a year of 53 weeks (one week jump), while the Gregorian calendar does not work.

Go to System Preferences-> language & region includes an option to change the default value of (apparent) Outlook of the ISO 8601.  Dig in the Outlook preferences shows that it allows the inclusion of another (Gregorian) calendar, but it does not specify which is the norm. I guess it's ISO.

Hope that maybe you will find it useful in the future.

  • iPhone calendar displays incorrect week numbers

    Hello to you all,.

I use an iPhone 6 and I realized that the calendar week numbers are not display correctly on my iPhone. Unfortunately, in the settings for the calendar I can only put in power the week numbers calendar but I can't change other parameters.

even more disturbing is the fact that on my iPad and my MacBook in the calendar are displayed correctly. For example, on the iPad the week of February 15 to February 21 is number 7 of the week (even on the MacBook) but the iPhone displays as number 8 of the week.

I know also, that the American standard and European standard is different in the case of counting the weeks, and because this year began with a Friday, presents two systems show different week numbers for the same week this year, but I would like to see the European system (in which week number 1 begins with January 4.)

someone has any idea how to change the settings accordingly? Thanks in advance

Moreover, I use iOS 9.2.1 on my iPhone.

Settings - general - language and region - is it the same on the iPhone and iPad?

  • Week numbers calendar ISO 8601 of iOS?

When I turn on week numbers in the calendar and Mac OSX calendar iOS, a week number is displayed for each week in the calendar.

However, I noticed that the week of December 28, 2015 was shown that week 1 of 2016, but the ISO 8601 standard shows that this should be considered in week 53 of 2015 and the week of January 4, 2016 should be 1 week from 2016.

    https://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_8601

After further investigation, I could solve the problem on Mac OSX (El Capitan 10.11.2) by changing the system preferences / language and region, to the first set of "Calendar" "ISO 8601", then make sure that "first day of the week" is "Monday".» Then, exit the calendar app and relaunch it. Fixed!

However, I was not able to find a way to solve this problem on my iPhone 6 more (iOS 9.2). Under settings / general / language and region / calendar - the only choices are Gregorian, Japanese and Buddhist.

Y at - it somewhere to another configuration ISO 8601 in iOS?

In settings-> General-> language & region, select the United Kingdom in your area. I don't know what are the other results, but it sets the number of date for me (even though I live in the United States)

  • The week of Julian to the calendar week number

    Hi Experts,

Could if it you please let me know the syntax to convert a number of week of Julian calendar week number. Thanks in advance

    Thank you and best regards,

    Karthik R

As shown Etbin, you must do it in two steps. First, you convert "Julian Week" to a date data type that belongs to that same week.

When you have that, you can use the full power of the format mask oracle to extract everything you need.

Oracle got two different masks for weeks.

    • IW = ISO week
    • WW = common (julian?) week.

As you know, the year can also change, so there is a mask of the year YYYY and a mask of year IYYY ISO.

Back to your problem, if the conversion tip 351006 * 7 fits your needs as a week of julian to date, so I think that the solution is good.

    with week_to_date as (select to_date(351006 * 7, 'J') my_day from dual)
    select to_char(my_day, 'Day DD/MM/YYYY') my_day,
            to_char(my_day, 'WW-YYYY') julian_week,
            to_char(my_day, 'IW-IYYY') ISO_Week
    from week_to_date;

    Hi all

Is there a function or method in oracle 11g to get the calendar week start date? for example. If 1st week begins January 3, 2011, the function should return January 3, 2011.

    Thank you

    Try this

    SQL> select next_day(trunc(sysdate,'YYYY'),'SUN')+1 from dual;

    NEXT_DAY(
    ---------
    03-JAN-11

The solution given by Mahesh is a gross... 3 jan was just for example... not to hardcode

  • Update my Photo from 2015 to 2016 calendar

I created calendars of gift for recent years with pictures for each month.

But then I have to insert birthdays and personal events day date.

Is it possible to import the created calendar year last in the new schedule for 2016?

Hi there - just happened to see this solution to a different problem... I like the idea of an option "Save as", but I've not seen during the creation of calendars of Costco, Shutterfly or Photos.  But, Photos has a good solution because you can create several calendars in the calendar of Mac application with repetition of dates (birthdays, etc.).  In the Photos when you create a calendar, you have the ability to import one or more of these "calendars" custom fill in Calendar Photos.

    4. slide the day labels in the main table on the left.

Try to increase the size of the calendar by expanding the borders before printing.
Also, you can try to capture a screenshot of the calendar and try to print in Microsoft Word.

  • Sansa Fuze 8 GB file incorrect names (adding the numbers and letters in front of the name of the folder)

Hello all, I had this problem with my folder names on my rocket with random letters and numbers at the beginning of my files.

    Example: 0B030000_Folder name

How would I go about to fix? Also note, this is visible on the "rocket" itself. If I connect it to the computer the files are fine as I originally intended them to be.

If someone can help me here would be great, thanks!

You send files more in MTP mode via Windows Media Player, which adds the extra junk to help itself index and update the database faster.

If it bothers you, you can go to Settings/System Settings/USB Mode, replace MSC, then drag files yourself, keeping WMP out of the picture.

Note: Your computer will see mode MSC or MTP - not both. So when you connect to the MSC, it will look like your music has disappeared. And when you connect to the PSG, you won't see the files that you send via MSC. The "rocket" don't care how they got there, but the computer doesn't. You can remove records of the MTP, and send even more through MSC.

  • Incorrect page in index numbers

I generate a Word with RoboHelp 6 HTML document.

The generated index contains entries that always point to the first page of the topic (chapter) even if the keyword is included, for example, on the fifth page of the subject. Nobody could find information!

What is the soltuion to the case described for the correct page numbers in the index?

I think that it is really a challenge for help is very appreciated.

Sorry, but that's how. Remember that the Index in RoboHelp works that is to associate a keyword with a subject, this keyword doesn't have to be in the topic for that to happen. Kind of RoboHelp associates the Word key the subject rather than any part of it.

For some reason any, so that you can associate a keyword to a bookmark in the online help, which could be used to reach your goal, that does not have Word. Have not tried to make this work so. Might be interesting to explore.

  • Weeks are FALSE on calendar Xperia Z3-

    How much is it?

If you have the week commencing Sunday, the week on the standard calendar of Xperia number are incorrect.

If you have showing week numbers take a peek in January & you'll notice that 2014 was 53 weeks! This results in 2015 with being WRONG in 1 week - week numbers IE in the calendar it is indicating that this week (from today Sunday, March 22) week 12 when it is week 13.

    Basics are hurt Sony.

It's all to do with ISO8601 and the Gregorian calendar and how it works-January 2015 had 1 on Thursday, so if the week begins on Sunday then because it would have been only one day, then the weekend this is part of a long weekend and so number begins the week the following week - so if the week begins on Monday and then then you would have had two days was 1 and 2 and the 3rd and 4th weekend so this would not have been a long weekend, and that's why the change of the week numbers

Not the answer you want, but the week starts on Monday officially except China, Japan, South Korea
