Calendar - week notice

I would like to view the week starting Monday and ending with Saturday and Sunday (on the same weekend) together. At the moment week view starts Sunday and runs through to Saturday. Is this possible?

  • Incorrect 2016 calendar week numbers

    Hi guys... It seems that for 2016 calendar week numbers are not correct.  Only he, they differ from what is listed in Outlook.  (this is important, because Outlook is the standard in my organization).

    For example: CW1 2016 in the Calendar is listed as Dec 28 - Jan 1.  In Outlook, CW1 is listed as Jan 4-8.

    My guess is that Calendar.app applied 52 weeks a year, while Outlook allows year 53/weeks (cover week last of 2015).

    Is it possible to change this the week numbers assigned in the calendar, or perhaps is this a known problem?

    I thought about it!

    It seems that the default in Calendar.app (at least in North America) has the defined 'Gregorian' calendar, while Outlook seems to use ISO 8601.  The ISO calendar allows a year of 53 weeks (one week jump), while the Gregorian calendar does not work.

    Go to System Preferences-> language & region includes an option to change the default value of (apparent) Outlook of the ISO 8601.  Dig in the Outlook preferences shows that it allows the inclusion of another (Gregorian) calendar, but it does not specify which is the norm. I guess it's ISO.

    Hope that maybe you will find it useful in the future.

  • The week of Julian to the calendar week number

    Hi Experts,

    Could if it you please let me know the syntax to convert a number of week of Julian calendar week number. Thanks in advance

    Thank you and best regards,

    Karthik R

    As shown Etbin, you must do it in two steps. First, you convert "Julian Week" to a date data type that belongs to that same week.

    When you have that, you can use the full power of the format mask oracle to extract everything you need.

    Oracle got two different masks for weeks.

    • IW = ISO week
    • WW = common (julian?) week.

    As you know, the year can also change, so there is a mask of the year YYYY and a mask of year IYYY ISO.

    Back to your problem, if the conversion tip 351006 * 7 fits your needs as a week of julian to date, so I think that the solution is good.

    with week_to_date as (select to_date(351006 * 7, 'J') my_day from dual)
    select  to_char(my_day, 'Day DD/MM/YYYY') my_day,
            to_char(my_day, 'WW-YYYY') julian_week,
            to_char(my_day, 'IW-IYYY') ISO_Week
    from week_to_date;

  • iPhone calendar displays incorrect week numbers

    Hello to you all,.

    I use an iPhone 6 and I realized that the calendar week numbers are not display correctly on my iPhone. Unfortunately, in the settings for the calendar I can only put in power the week numbers calendar but I can't change other parameters.

    even more disturbing is the fact that on my iPad and my MacBook in the calendar are displayed correctly. For example, on the iPad the week of February 15 to February 21 is number 7 of the week (even on the MacBook) but the iPhone displays as number 8 of the week.

    I know also, that the American standard and European standard is different in the case of counting the weeks, and because this year began with a Friday, presents two systems show different week numbers for the same week this year, but I would like to see the European system (in which week number 1 begins with January 4.)

    someone has any idea how to change the settings accordingly? Thanks in advance

    Moreover, I use iOS 9.2.1 on my iPhone.

    Settings - general - language and region - is it the same on the iPhone and iPad?

  • Convergence 2u5 - how to get the ISO week number in calendar view?

    Hello

    Convergence seems to be displaying week numbers "US Standard" (e.g. 27/02/2013 is week 8).
    I don't see any option to display European/ISO week numbers (27/02/2013 is week * 9 *).

    You can test on this page: http://www.onlineconversion.com/day_week_number.htm

    Tested with 2u5 and Convergence 2u4.

    Technically, Convergence depends currently dojo to calculate WeekNumber (kernel.js called dojo.date.locale.format that calls dojo.date.locale._getWeekOfYear which uses US Standard).
    The dojox.date.posix.getIsoWeekOfYear method can be called to get the ISO week number.

    EDIT: ok, known problem.

    Yes, we talk about behavior. However, demand for next development was opened on this:

    15920988 DO WEEK NUMBERING CUSTOMIZABLE IN CONVERGENCE

    More on that we can read in the document of knowledge:
    The numbering of the week in the calendar week view is inconsistent with the ISO8601 (Doc ID [1508601.1 | https://support.oracle.com/rs?type=doc&id=1508601.1])

    It also contains a customization to get Convergence use week numbering.

    If you want to be officially added to the demand of development, you need to open a Service request, which contains this application.

  • Cannot change calendar view

    My desktop software and the device is in French and the display of the calendar/month (my notice of default) starts the week Monday.

    I want to change this so that the week starts on Sunday (I'm in Canada, not Europe!) but I can't find how to do this in the manual or in these forums.

    I'm under Palm Garnet 5.4.7 and Palm Desktop 4.2.1 on Max OS x 10.4 system.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • ADF calendar setting AvailableViews on initial load

    Hello

    JDev Version: 12.1.3

    I'm working on calendar ADF for a customer requirement. In recent weeks calendar, he could have more than 200 activities and this makes very slow calendar week and month view rendering.

    I am therefore dynamically trying to availableViews schedule based on the number of specific week activities. If there are too many activities this week, I'm disabling of the week, month, and list of the modes of the calendar.

    There are three steps that I put it. First and second work correctly. However, in a third, I am facing following error message:

    java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException: ADF_FACES-60080: attribute 'availableViews' of the calendar contains valid values.

    There are three steps:

    1 users click the arrows for previous and next. I use calendarDisplayChangeListener. This works as expected.

        public void displayChangeListener(CalendarDisplayChangeEvent calendarDisplayChangeEvent) {
            if (calendarDisplayChangeEvent.getNewActiveDay() == null) {
                Date activeDay = getCalendar().getActiveDay();
                setCalendarViews(getResourceId(), activeDay == null ? new Date() : getCalendar().getActiveDay());
            } else {
                setCalendarViews(getResourceId(), calendarDisplayChangeEvent.getNewActiveDay());
            }
        }

        private void setCalendarViews(Number resourceId, java.util.Date d) {
            OperationBinding getAvaliableViews = ADFUtils.findOperation("getAvaliableViews");
            getAvaliableViews.getParamsMap().put("resourceId", resourceId);
            getAvaliableViews.getParamsMap().put("activeDate", DateConversion.getSqlDateFromUtilDate(d));
            String views = (String) getAvaliableViews.execute();
            List<String> avaliableViews = new ArrayList<String>();
            avaliableViews.clear();
            if ("day".equals(views)) {
                avaliableViews.add("day");
                getCalendar().setAvailableViews(avaliableViews);
                getCalendar().setView("day");
            }
            else {
                avaliableViews.add("all");
                getCalendar().setAvailableViews(avaliableViews);
            }
        }

    2. users can change suppliers of a drop-down list box. It works also as expected.

        public void changeGarageListener(ValueChangeEvent valueChangeEvent) {
            valueChangeEvent.getComponent().processUpdates(FacesContext.getCurrentInstance());
            Number resourceId = (Number)getIdFromLov("XxntcInventoriesVO1", "ResourceId");
            _logger.warning(resourceId.toString());
            Date d = null;
            if (getCalendar().getActiveDay() != null) {
                d = getCalendar().getActiveDay();
            } else {
                d = new Date();
            }
            setCalendarViews(resourceId, d);
        }

    3. the loading of the page, I need to define views of the calendar. To do this, I use method call activities in the workflow. In this method, I can not set component properties directly because he has not yet been made. Therefore, I use EL Expression on the availableViews property.

        public void setDefaultCalendarView() {
            OperationBinding getAvaliableViews = ADFUtils.findOperation("getAvaliableViews");
            getAvaliableViews.getParamsMap().put("resourceId", getResourceId());
            getAvaliableViews.getParamsMap().put("activeDate", DateConversion.getSqlDateFromUtilDate(new Date()));
            String views = (String) getAvaliableViews.execute();
            List<String> avaliableViews = getInitialAvaliableViews();
            avaliableViews.clear();
            avaliableViews.add("day");
            /*
            if ("day".equals(views)) {
                avaliableViews.add("day");
            }
            else {
                avaliableViews.add("all");
                //avaliableViews.add("day");
                //avaliableViews.add("week");
                //avaliableViews.add("month");
                //avaliableViews.add("list");
            }*/

            setInitialAvaliableViews(avaliableViews);
        }

    Common properties of the calendar:

                <af:calendar value="#{bindings.XxntcCsCalendarActivitiesEOVO1.calendarModel}" id="c1"
                             styleClass="AFStretchWidth" toolboxLayout="all customToolbar" inlineStyle="caption-side:start;"
                             partialTriggers="soc1 s1:b3 emptyAssignButton b4 b2"
                             activityStyles="#{calendarRequest.activityStyles}" binding="#{calendarRequest.calendar}"
                             calendarActivityListener="#{calendarRequest.activityListener}" view="day"
                             calendarDisplayChangeListener="#{calendarRequest.displayChangeListener}"
                             availableViews="#{calendarRequest.initialAvaliableViews}">

    This also puts availableViews correctly and calendar is rendered as expected. However, when I click to an activity CalendarActivityListener is not fired. Instead, he throws after error message:

    java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException: ADF_FACES-60080: attribute 'availableViews' of the calendar contains valid values.

    Here are my questions:

    1. why this is happening? Any solution to this problem?

    2. is there any other way I can define properties of calendar just before it renders without using Expression EL?

    3. is there another approach to the third step?

    Kind regards

  • Calendar of the apex; limit values for each day/cell

    Apex 4.2

    I'm working on a calendar widget to my page. The calendar will be specific sectors (using the abbreviation of sector space maximze) for each day. When you use the calendar, I noticed the sectors more you have, the cell for this day will begin to stretch down / vertically. I tried to change this so that a specific day / cell would show only a number of areas. For example, maybe one day 20 sectors are attributed to him, however, I only want to show 5 of them and then a text saying 'See more'. The text 'see more' will eventually be a link, but it's far from being the problem.

    Initially, the request for this was along the lines of:

    select
    the_id, the_date, the_sector, the sector_abbrev
    from Table
    where this = that

    It would show all sectors for all the days on the calendar. Yet once, I wanted to limit the output every day as some days would indicate all 20 sectors (their abbreviations), and some would be 3 or four in function. So to say that there are 30 sectors (10 1st), 4 of the 15, 12 on 20-4 on November 29. I want to allow only five abbreviations of sector which must appear in a cell until the link "see more" appears. I came up with the following query:

    Select
    the_sector_abbrev, the_id, the_date, the sector
    from Table
    where rownum <= 5 and (this = that)
    union all
    Select 'View More', null, null, null
    from dual

    I found that it would be limiting my calendar for showing that four areas throughout the month of November and not for each day / cell on the calendar. I am to discover that 'rownum' is perhaps not the way to go. I don't know how to specify for each of the calendar days rownum. I don't know how to capture every day / the Calendar cell. Maybe I need a more complicated or a subquery where clause. But overall, from my example above, the 1st show four of the sectors and then the link "See more", the 15th would show the four sectors and thats all, the 20th century would show four sectors and her "see more" link and so on.

    Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
