Increase space C drive

Hi friends,

I have a copy of windows 7 ultimate...

My C drive is almost full!

Can anyone suggest me some way to increase C drive space... as export some memory of other drives or nothing!

Please.Please help!

If you want to make more space for C, move the data from D in other players and then use a free partition manager to enlarge C such that it absorbs D...

  • Running out of disk space on drive D

    Hello!

Recently, I get a message warning me that I m not enough space on drive D. I'm clean as suggested, but it does not have any effect.
The MS forum moderator suggests it is not an operating system problem, but a problem for Toshiba.

It seems that the files are saved on disk D that shouldn't be the case...?

Sorry for this question but what is alert MSG?
And what was the argument why it should be matter of Toshiba?

Is this info from the operating system itself or given by Toshiba as Tempro tool?

Free space on drive C - Windows XP Security takes a large amount of space.

    Beachaven,

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers Community!

How much space you show the updates of security take?

It is recommended to leave all the updates security installed and continue to keep your computer up-to-date with Windows Update. Remove these updates will make your computer vulnerable to malicious software. If you need to erase the disk space, I recommend to uninstall old programs that are no longer in use. You can also check the disk cleanup tool to see if you can free up of any space there.

    ·         Click Start

    ·         Click on all programs

    ·         Click on Accessories

    ·         Click on System Tools

    ·         Click Disk Cleanup

    ·         Check the boxes of files to remove

    ·         Click OK

    ·         Click on delete files

Hope that helps, I look forward to hearing from you.

  • How will I know that I can uninstall it? It says "not enough space on drive D.

Original title: How do iknow, I can uninstall when I said im my running out of space

not enough space on drive d

    Hello

You may have a serious problem that you can't solve yourself.

Click Start > computer > see if D: is the recovery drive and in this case it must be sized anywhere between 5-15GBs about.

If it fits this description, you should contact the manufacturer of your computer, as they placed this hard disk recovery disk.

The recovery disk is placed there only for you to reinstall the operating system if you have a bad system crash recovery disk to reinstall the operating system in the event of total failure of the hard drive.

The recovery disk is cannot be used for these purposes.

The manufacturer will help you fix it.

If this is not the recovery disk please post back.

    See you soon.

  • How can I increase my recovery drive (d). It is fixed to 15 GB and I have tons of free space and want to bring to about 40-50 GB

After only 1 or 2 backups, it overflows. I want to open more space and I see a few large files, but I don't want to delete them without knowing what they are.

NT ATLEE/SYSTEM IS one of them to 12.5 GB. It doesn't seem likely that it would be to delete. I have no junk left to remover or.

I recently got burping on IE. I recorded everything and can reinstall the whole system, drivers, updates, etc.

Before that, I would like to know how to enlarge my recovery in order to have several bakups to restore later if necessary, without having to go through everything.

Sometimes I save a backup elsewhere for easier restoration also.

Using Win 7, IE 7 again, on a not to mention dell POS.

Really, I hesitate to use the most recent EI, until the BS is that they are ALWAYS overcome. Maybe it's time to IE8? Laughing out loud

In any case, all I really want is to expand my recovery disk. Tons of free space on hard drive. 844 franco departure 916 GB.

I seem to be close, but can't get on top. I have taught myself since military-electronic learning computers and

This seems to be a basic enough scheduling feature to be able to do it myself.

    Thanks in advance, Greg

  • Increase the C: drive and reduce the E: drive decrease?

    Hi all

My c: drive------fills constantly which is causing the overall performance of my laptop to be very bad. It is very slow! I don't have a lot of files etc on my C: drive, but it still keeps filling in shortly after a cleanup and defragmentation. My E: drive is constantly empty and I want to be able to use this space on my C: drive.

I don't want to move the files to the E: drive 'free' space on C: because I don't have a lot of files on C: to move.

Can I change the volumes of each drive to increase the capacity of C: and diminish the ability of e: or can I remove E: and give all the space on C:

    Any help would be appreciated?

    Thank you
    Colin

    Hello Colin

In General, you can do what you want and all this can be done in computer management > disk management.
I don't know what model of laptop you have, but for laptops with HARD drive recovery image, it is not recommended to change the partition structure because it can have a negative influence on the HDD recovery procedure. If you have ever portable model and you created the recovery DVDs then you can do this. For the installation of the OS, you can use recovery disk installation only.

    Back to your question.
In my opinion there is no great sense to change this structure of score because you can use the free space on the second partition for your daily activities. I don't know what you're doing exactly, but all your data like mp3s, pictures, movies, office stuff, and anything else can be saved on the second partition.
You can also set the second partition as the target of download and all files you download will be saved there.

Your sentence is a little strange to me.
    > You wrote
    > I do not want to move the files to the E: drive 'free' space on C: because I don't have a lot of files on C: to move.
So I wonder what you do to fill the C partition, but there is nothing to move. Can you please explain it to me?

Writing an effective question of communities of Apple Support

Time Machine is a backup software. If you mean that you're already using TM and you want to store other items on your backup disk, you can, but it is not a good idea and you will need to partition the drive. http://pondini.org/TM/3.html
