  I understand from your description you want to change the resolution of the screen.

  To change the Screen resolution, do the following:

  Step 1: Right click on the desktop and select Screen Resolution screen resolution window.

  Step 2: You can see the current screen resolution then the resolution box. If the resolution is less than 1024 x 768 pixels, you can set a higher resolution, if your PC supports. To change the resolution in progress, click resolution box and select a higher resolution.

I tried to run a cup of old games, like for example, Diablo, which I am not able to play on my physical computer and it works - what is cool there. However I tried different sizes of my computer virtual screen, the game still appears as a small square in the Middle, where the rest of the virtual machine screen remains black.   Many older games use a fixed resolution, ignoring what you set on your desktop.

  You can try to change the VM fullscreen and "Guest Stretch" setting in the display preferences.

  I hear your frustration. It is a driver problem. So, lets get set for that (I hope, your BIOS is OK). What is happening is that your system resets with the incorrect driver. What you need to do is to 'disable' (not uninstall) the driver of 'bad' and use only the correct driver. That you should be able to do it via the Device Manager.

  Try this approach and see how you rate. Once you can get the 'good' driver to work properly, then and only then we will get rid of the 'bad' driver (uninstall).
