There is no way to change the RAM allocation, no.  These systems come with the option of hybrid video (Intel + AMD or Intel + nVidia).  To perform this upgrade, however, the jury of the entire system must be changed, as well as the heat sink (figure $250 or more in parts + $100 in labor).

The upgrade will void your warranty, if it is a review.

  • Question about increasing the size of the partition of the Qosmio Player on Qosmio G-series

How can I increase the size of partition Qosmio Player?

Well, the Qosmio Player is installed separately on a second partition.
I use a program 3rd party like Partition Magic 8 to create and manage partitions on the HARD disk.

You can try this software to increase the size of the partitions, but I don't know if the Qosmio Player will still work after the change of size m.

  • Increase the size of the Partition

I am trying to increase the size of the partition of my C drive.

About 12 months ago someone partitioned my C drive, but the C drive is full and needs to be increased in size. I deleted drive D and it is shown as being unallocated.

I'm in Diskpart in command prompt, try to expand the size of drive C by typing expand size 22000 but will not accept numbers that I entered. Drive C is 15 GB and unallocated is 22.11 GB

Does anyone have an idea of what I might do wrong or have I missed something fundamental?

By using the diskpart utility requirements

    1. The volume should be the NTFS file system. If it is FAT or FAT32, you must convert it to NTFS.

    2. With respect to basic disks, unallocated space must be behind the need to extend partition.

    3. The extension supports simply volumes of data. It prohibits a system partition or starting of extended. This is the reason why the diskpart failed to extend the volume on my 2003 Server system partition.

    4. The partition where the system pagefile is stored isn't available to expand unless the file is moved to a partition that you do not want to extend.

Other: in regard to Windows 2000/xp, you cannot extend the volume simple dynamic disk that was created on a basic disk. The limitation has been cancelled in Windows Server 2003.

As mentioned above, there are so many limitations in the line utility diskpart command, you cannot extend a volume easily. So I recommend you to use a free partition manager - Partition Wizard.

  • How can I increase the size of partitioned 'Recovery' drive in Windows 8?

I need to update my windows 8 to 8.1 in order to upgrade to Windows 10. The "recovery" partitioned D drive doesn't have enough space for the upgrade. Is there a FREE way to increase space partitioned drive?

    UPDATE: I GOT IT!

I have shrunk the drive C to unallocated space of 10 GB and used free software EaseUS to increase the size of the disk D (I couldn't increase using windows).

If your configuration is set with the partitions in a certain order or Setup, it can be moved using this tool, so you should come back to something like ZigZag3143 (Windows devices & for IT Pro MS - MVP) suggested.  Or another option is to save what concerns you, format the drive and reinstall everything fresh (it may be too much for you, but it is an option).

  • How to increase the size of the disk partition VMware Studio.

    Hello

I installed the VMWare Studio unit on ESX 4.0 host system. I've been running more disk space for builds, so I wanted to provide more space for the SCSI in ESX, Edit-settings of the Virtual Appliance. I increased the size to 256 GB SCSI disk.

I then went to the guest VMWare Studio system, and the device/dev/sda5 displays always only 30 GB, and 12 GB is exhausted. How can I make the Guest OS from VMWare Studio unit see the increase in size?

I tried to use "parted", but this fails because/dev/sda5 is mounted. "' I can't umount/dev/sda5 as/dev/sda5" is ongoing. " I am aware of the 1004047 of the Knowledge Base article, but it is of no use, because is not specifically for VMWare Studio unit.

    Thank you.

If you have a lot of disk space on the ESX Server, yes creating and adding a new virtual disk (vmdk) to the VM Studio is the way to go. Mount the new drive for the Studio colleagues OS (Ubuntu), and the key is/opt/vmware/www/build simple installation on the new disk to create the new space drive for Studio use. Don't forget to back up your existing data in this directory first. See http://communities.vmware.com/thread/244715?tstart=0 for the similar explanation. Let us know how it goes.

  • Tried to increase the bootcamp partition and now Windows will not boot

    I've got Yosemite.
I wanted to increase the size of my bootcamp windows partition, so I searched for a way online, and I found this video:

    https://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=zhkdOLXT6Eg

I followed all the steps in the video, but after you have started and to complete the process of the Minitool partition Wizard I got this screen:

This is what looks like my disk utility:

    https://i.gyazo.com/ee9967fc7ac9a2d1ad9afc5cde2f3529.PNG

It seems that free space is always there

Is there a way to fix this?

MiniTool is not recommended because it causes problems and can lead to data loss.

OS X Terminal please after the release of the following OS X Terminal commands. Enter your password when you are prompted by the command 'sudo '.

    diskutil list

    Cs diskutil list

    sudo TPG - vv - r see the/dev/disk0

    sudo fdisk/dev/disk0

Do not change the partitioning information any more, otherwise, you will lose your Windows data permanently.

There is no need to increase the size of the HP recovery Partition. In fact, this can lead to make non-functional... HP recovery Partition leaving you without the ability to create your recovery HP Recovery Media options or access the HP Recovery Manager or "F11".

You can't do this with the tools built into Windows XP, but you can use third-party disk partitioning tools. Although these tools are generally safe, it is always a good idea to make backups before using an any of them.

Here are a few options in alphabetical order:

    Acronis Disk Director ($50)
    EASEUS Partition Manager free (free)
    O & O Partition Manager 3 ($50)

  • I am running vista home basic, how you can increase the size of the D: Recovery drive

I am running vista home basic, how you can increase the size of the D: Recovery drive

    Hello

You use the D: Partition of recovery in 3 different ways to reinstall the operating system.

    1. you press a particular key or key combination at startup, F10, F11, Alt + F10 etc. to begin the process of recovery in new condition (as you bought) in the event of system failure.

    2. start > programs > find software from the manufacturer of your computer > look for a recovery method

    3. you can do recovery disk to reinstall the operating system in case of hard drive failure.

This will save you the purchase of the computer manufacturer's recovery disks.

The manufacturer will advise you on the options

    See you soon.

  • How can I increase the size of the drive D: Image factory D? My OS is Vista.

How can I increase the size of the D: drive?

How can I increase the size of the D: drive?

Your D drive is the configuration of your Partition recovery by the manufacturer of your computer.
It is used to restore your system in case it crashes.
It is not to be touched, adds anything in or remove anything from him.
The recovery Partition is usually around 10 GB. That's all he needs to store the files for recovery.
I strong suggest that you don't mess with it.

If you want to create a System Image backup, please do so in an external hard drive.

  • increase the size of /obj1

I use vWAAS. I attribute a large disks for the virtual machine. My disk00: 1.9 to. However, the /obj1 still have the size of 120 GB. Is there anyway to increase the size attribute to the /obj1? I don't mind delete /obj1 and re-create it. THX.

    Hello

Disk partitions are fixed size and locked, dependent on the size of the device/vWAAS.

There is therefore no need to allocate more disk space, than what is specified in the installation guides.

  • How to increase the size of the c: drive in image master clone related?

I have a pool of clone related with an image master.  drive c: must be increased because of all of the updates on the master VM.  But when I turned off the master VM, it is grayed out and cannot be changed.  I have a number of clichés associated with the master image as well.  I read that I have to remove or delete all the snapshots before I can increase the size, but then does that mean that I lose all my changes since the first base image?

    Thanks the community for comment.

Removal of the snapshots in snapshot Manager means in fact that you're merging deltas in the snapshots in the basic disk, i.e. preserve the current state. Assuming that it is a floating pool and only the latest snapshot is used for clones, it should work to remove snapshots, resize the disk/partition and recompose the pools of a newly created snapshot when you completed the master update.
