  I have just updated to 2015 for CC and I have a very strange problem with performance GPU functionality.

  When I turn on the feature, my guidelines appear very thick (see photo below) and when I turn it off the guides normally appear. This does not change even when I zoom right in, they always appear very thick!

  In addition, the GPU is activated zoom turns into what Photoshop calls "scrubby zoom. Is there anyway to disable the zoom stunted, even when the GPU performance is. I find it very frustrating and imprecise.

• Does anyone know how to disable GPU performance for good?

  Everytime I open a file in Illustrator 2015 GPU Performance is enabled and graphic renderings are jagged and pixelated, so I have to turn it off. It's extremely frustrating because I have to do for each file I open not only once per session.

  It would be really good if I put my preferences to turn off this new "feature/obstacle" for good, anyone know how?

  OK, so I have not forget I have updated my Illustrator to the last 2015 yesterday and it seems that the update solved the problem.

  Now when I disable GPU it remains be off, even when I have Illustrator to close and reopen Hooray!

• InDesign 2015 CC will not update

  I read a few threads recent re: problems with the last update InDesign 2015 CC but none are quite the same as my question.

  I am running OS X El Capitan, version 10.11.6 on an iMac. I was able to update Illustrator CC 2015.3 this morning without problem, and all other CC applications that I have installed are up-to-date and it seem to work OK.

  When I tried to run CC updates of Adobe Application Manager this morning, I've updated Illustrator without problem, as I said. But InDesign had finished its update. After a few minutes of progress, he found himself at 99%. I closed all other and just waited, but it would not solve or complete the update. I waited about 30 minutes.

  I leave the Application Manager and restarted my machine, tried again, the same result.

  I hunted around on boards for solutions and those, including the verification of the permissions of preferences (they write), tried to rename the 1.0 file, etc. None of this has helped.

  I uninstalled (running uninstaller in the InDesign application folder) and reinstalled in the Application Manager, choosing to save preferences. Again the installer stopped at 99% and stayed there for more than 20 minutes.

  I uninstalled again and reinstalled again, this time, allowing preferences should be deleted. Once again the installer stopped at 99% for 20 minutes and counting.

  I get no error messages, a failure just to complete the updates.

  This type of installation failures / crashes occurs generally if you have problems with the network.

  If you use a wireless connection, we recommend to use a patch cable.

  OK, that means it is a problem in the user profile files, probably the permissions on the folders preference for InDesign. You can try to replace the prefs (see replace your preferences), but most likely that will not work, then you must delete or rename the two hidden folders (the paths are in this link), then copy the two files from the user to work.

  I use InDesign 2015.2 on Windows 7.  I'm working on a document and you want to use a family of fonts installed on my computer.  Not all fonts display correctly in the window however.  When I select some fonts to a paragraph style, they appear as symbols and glyphs.  These fonts appear in the drop-down type (and an example of the face appears in the drop-down list).  They work very well in other applications Adobe, such as Illustrator.  No idea why I can't get to work in InDesign?  TIA!

  I manually deleted the preferences of the library after the suggestion of Peter, but it does not work

  With the new GPU enhancements and updates, InDesign now defaults to the screen of high-quality on any paper. If I try to change the value default of standard or fast display in the preferences, click OK and then go back to the preferences, it is always set on high quality screen.

  A work around I have found is to just change the typical display and high quality settings, but I wonder if there is a real difficulty for this.

  Couple of workarounds:

  • Quickly change the view, click OK, go back and change to typical.
  • Leave the app, clean the prefs, raise, typical Exchange.
