  CS6 is not supported because there is no financial sense to spend money trying to 'fix' an old program to run on a new hardware/OS with (no guarantee of success), or a willingness of users to pay for repairs when new versions are already in operation. There is no reason why you can't continue working in CS6 - do - if you don't need the features that have been added since then. You just need to run it on a compatible hardware.

  After a search for every problem of crash in the forums, I tried:

  -CS5 uninstalling/reinstalling with the cleaning of Adobe tool

  -Remove preferences in ~/Library/Preferences

  -Remove preferences in ~/Library/Application Support/InDesign

  Rename/move the folder SING

  Of course, none of them worked.

  What can I do, other than to cry like a baby? I really need help with this, I'm a graphic designer good blood!

  Yes, Eugene is correct, it is plugin self-activation of Extensis Suitcase Fusion. You will find that it is easier to remove the plugin self-activation (ExtensisFontManagementIDCS5) in the InDesign Plugins folder; many seem to have trouble finding ways to do this in the user interface.

  I lost track of whether there is a fix to Extensis for this, or if return to a another version works, etc. Do a search, it came frequently; also contact Extensis, which has free support.

  How do you attach your observer for the text block? Did you use the AddIn object model - which would be very unusual mechanism.

  If not, on what boss is your observer, and what changes (Protocol) are watching you, what topic?

  In addition to needint updated 7.5.3 the accident seems to be SINGING (see Deletion of SINGING), but most importantly, it is don't have yo tried to migrate programs? This doesn't; t work, so if you have done so, edition and reinstall it from the original installers, then run the updates.

  After you migrate my files from my old MacPro (OS 10.7.5) to my new iMac (OS 10.8.2), I noticed that InDesign 5.5 crashes at startup. I've read some of the messages in this forum and elsewhere, but can't seem to find a solution.

  The solution is to uninstall the adobe software and reinstall it from the original disks, run the cleaning inbetween tool. Software Adobe doesn't do well with a migration.

  OK in my case, that it is related to the RAID used on my computer, with which Indesign 11.4.1 problems, known by developers.

  Easy solution: uninstall 11.4.1, install version 11 and install the update to 11.4 and NOT 11.4.1.

  In addition to the update, I installed affinity Photo today, but I also did a different MacBook where everything works. I have installed Indesign and Photoshop freshly, but nothing helped. Any tips?

  Hello! It's a little frustrating and I had to post this with the help of another laptop because my laptop ASUS freezes/crash after starting and also during the login screen! It's like when I open and enter my password, and enter the screen and click on any program, it will just freeze and hang there! And I couldn't do anything with it! LIKE NOTHING! Nothing, I need to force close by pressing the power button for a long time and makes many times because I wanted to check whether it is really something bad ~ it's been a week but I still can't use my laptop :( The most frustrating thing is, I can't even use the recovery options! The first time a blue screen for the recovery options showed that I had the chance to choose because it froze again!

  I tried to restart my laptop and went into the advanced boot options and you click on RESTART NOW to make that screen again, but UNFORTUNATELY, the TROUBLESHOOTING option does not show! Only the choices available are "CONTINUE and EXIT to WINDOWS ' and 'TURN OFF VOLTAGE the COMPUTER '.

  I wanted to choose "Automatic repair", but given that the TROUBLESHOOTING Option does not appear it seems I have no choice. I tried several times but no luck if I had to choose REFRESH PC but another problem is in place! -_ - I don't know how! I clicked REFRESH PC and selected FOLLOWING, but he said, "COULD NOT FIND THE NECESSARY THAT WE are looking for" something like that so he can't go!

  This seems to be a common problem that I'm not alone.  It started today, open InDesign and immediately failed.  Tried to erase the preferences (CTRL + SHIFT + ALT) on opening, nothing.  Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, nothing.

  I'm on Windows 10 - Surface book.

  I have copy and I replaced the SavedData ADMINISTRATOR files and default values (where I had no problem at the opening of InDesign) in my user (where I had problems).  This has not fixed the problem...

  Peter has already suggested this and I tried it.  This does not resolve the issue.

  I did however another Google search for "Adobe InDesign crashes on loading Trackers" and found this gem: InDesign CC crash at the start of the trackers

  where someone says delete all content inside the VERSION # files (C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\InDesign\------& C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Adobe\InDesign\------) for Roaming/Local.  I thought at this point what is wrong and now it works!

  Peter, you may want to advise you on your post very well explained that this could be a solution as well if InDesign cannot on 'load of trackers.
