InDesign crash after deleting a TextFrame

Hi all

I have a related event textframe on update of the text, inside of this event I remove the textframe using the same code samples provided but Indesign crashes after the removal of the text, if I deleted the other place textframe (event on the menu for example) I don't face any problem.

Thanks in advance.

How do you attach your observer for the text block? Did you use the AddIn object model - which would be very unusual mechanism.

If not, on what boss is your observer, and what changes (Protocol) are watching you, what topic?

In any case, I repeat my proposal to have a second look at CmdUtils, search for "schedule" it...

    Kind regards.

OK in my case, that it is related to the RAID used on my computer, with which Indesign 11.4.1 problems, known by developers.

Easy solution: uninstall 11.4.1, install version 11 and install the update to 11.4 and NOT 11.4.1.

    11.4 works well.

Thanks to the team of Adobe support for this solution.

  • iOS 10 Mail crashes after deleting some messages

On my iPad after installing iOS 10 Mail closed unexpectly after deleting some messages. In addition, I regret the disappearance of the "remove all" button on some of the issues.

Try resetting your device. This will not erase your data stored on that device.

    • Press and hold the sleep/wake button
    • Press and hold the Home button
    • Press and hold both buttons until the display turns off and on again with the Apple logo on the subject.

Alternatively, you can go to settings - general - reset - Reset all settings

If that doesn't work, restore your device to factory settings. Please note that this will delete the data on your device.

Take a look this Apple Support article: use iTunes to restore the iPhone, iPad or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support.

  • InDesign crashes after the Welcome screen appears

My InDesign CC had an update yesterday. Since when I run it now it crashes on the homescreen, I had turned it off before somehow in the contents of the package, but the update caused, he appears again, causing the program to freeze and make me force restart the computer with the power button. There is no option to stop even appear in the preferences. This happened with Photoshop and Illustrator before too. I have a screenshot of what looks like the home screen; Somehow, he goes all blurry and stained so I can't select something to say "don't show this again". I can not find any topic on this solution as it kept coming up with Photoshop. I use an iMac 20 inch Late 2006 OS X Lion (which is pretty slow!) with a 2 GB SDRAM. Tried contacting Adobe via chat but they do not have anyone to help me. Here is the image:

I now have this sort, Adobe rang back me and helped me via remote access. They have deleted a file in the contents of the package (I thought to do this, but didn't know where to go or what to remove, think it was called "What's New" or something) and it works fine now. They told me NOT to update InDesign for a while until they know it will work ok once, do not want the same thing happens everywhere!

Happened the first time when I got so InDesign CC, which was strange, but the update does happen!

    Thanks for your help, guys!

You can't really wreck software on Mac, but you will need to reistall of recovery...

This will install only the system files and leave you the data in place.

If you have a Time Machine backup or a clone you can restore those.

V.8 InDesign crashes on startup and loading, after which works all fine, except the Panel who are slow like crazy. Replacement by default/history, has no effect.

Is there any help for this issue or it's political Adobe to care not at all?

    Nicely,

CS6 is not supported because there is no financial sense to spend money trying to 'fix' an old program to run on a new hardware/OS with (no guarantee of success), or a willingness of users to pay for repairs when new versions are already in operation. There is no reason why you can't continue working in CS6 - do - if you don't need the features that have been added since then. You just need to run it on a compatible hardware.

  • InDesign crashing following a deletion outright.

Hi guys. I'm on CS5 on Mac OS x 10.6.7. InDesign has worked very well all day, just stop coming to a single document where I just have to remove a couple of rows in a table, but whenever I do, InDesign crashes and I have to force. Delete the first three lines looks very well, but anything below this and it spazzes out. Nothing is put shaped differently in these lines from all others. Someone has an idea what could be the cause?

Edit: I also tried just remove one line at a time, it worked well. But then I tried to paste data from another table in the remaining lines, and even once, InDesign crashed.

Well, it looks like its related policies:

So try to remove all your fonts party 3rd and only adding as you need to hide in?

Of course, you can have several different problems...
