• InDesign CS3 - can't get out "text on a path.

  It's driving me crazy and I don't know there is a simple answer, but darn if I can find it, either in the InDesign help online or in books that I have. InDesign a 'default' to "type on a path" and I can't for the life of me find a way to turn it off, or get out. So far, tried to close the program completely and start again; opening one document other than the one I was working on when "on a path of type' open (I did not deliberately turns, so must have accidentally done something); and will then try to restart, but how this might help I don't know, but it's a Windows Vista system and with Windows, a restart is always worth a try.

  In otherwise, all I want to see is the normal "T" icon for my type, rather than the anti-war which lies on a slope...

  Any help gratefully accepted!

  Nini suggestion will work for new documents, if in fact you change the global preference, but it won't help your existing document. To fix that you need to change the tool with the document open and choose anything.

  Where you do not know how to change the tool, which I think you don't, click and hold on the text tool, until you see the dialog box options. It works with any tool that has a small triangle in the lower right corner.

  There has never been a version FREE of Creative Suite 2. What is displayed on the website of Adobe, it's an activation-free setup and a serial number for CS2 to Adobe CS2 license customers but need to reinstall the software after our CS2 activation servers have been decommissioned. This isn't a software which can legally be installed and used by someone else to Adobe customers who previously CS2 license.

  As others in this thread have advised, there is no way to upgrade reduced CS2, even for CS2 customers paid. CS2 was released, it more than ten years. In general, Adobe had only reduced paths to upgrade to a version or two behind the current. CS2 is eight versions behind the current version of Creative Cloud 2015 of Adobe creative applications.

  My client needs a CS6 indesign file and I created the document in Indesign CS3 , as I have not had time to update my mac and my operating system and subscribe to Adobe CC - so I'd like some advice please.

  I was able to open the CS3 file in CS6/CC on the laptop of a friend but there are lines of text outside the illuminated in pink Hi text box that cannot be reformatted. Also the pink highlight never goes.

  

  Since I'm awake again, I just download the new versions of the DejaVu and I see no sign of problem any longer.

  I uninstalled and reinstalled several times now and run all updates from Adobe. For the life of me, I can't get all the PAGES appears in InDesign CS3 5.0.4. I am running OS x 10.6.8 I full registered CS3 Creative Suite. I can create a new DOCUMENT or BOOK, set up the page numbers amounts and sizes and margins, but then nothing happens. I have all the tools and open windows, but in the PAGES Panel there is nothing and everything is greyed OUT do not allow me to ADD more or REMOVE pages. Master Pages are not displayed.

  Anyone experience this before?

  I just had my Mac fixed on the Apple store, but now reinstall it wiped all my descriptions of printer from InDesign CS3. To try to put them all back up I have the configuration of the printer and the Page pop up menus grayed in the print dialog box. It is not allowing me to add my printer descriptions.

  Does anyone know how to access the pop-up tabs greyed so I can reinstall my PPDs

  If you need only cs3 for a 'small' job, use the 30 day trial to finish your work.

  If you need longer than that, you will need to purchase a license of cs3 (which adobe is no longer sold, but can be purchased in a 3rd party).

One of my friends said he believes that buying CS6 will make you eligible for a download of an earlier version to help with problems of this kind.
